Summary: Much Better Than Good Peoples
Review: I loved this book. I really liked Marcus Major's short story in "Got to be Real" so I bought Good People's. It was an okay book. However this was a great book! I really appreciated the characters commitment to friendships and the great portrial of the black greek system! Lifelong bonds taken seriously! It worth not waiting until it comes out on paperback!

Summary: Especially for laughs
Review: With 4 guys like Mike, Colin, Dexter, and Ibn. How much trouble can one little girl be? This was definitely a delightful story that touches you in all the right places. Ibn the self proclaimed ladies man and expert, learns the hard way that eventually what you do in the dark will come to light. Colin and Dexter, just couldn't get it right. One has a self esteem problem and the other just can't seem to commit. Then there is Mike, Mr. Dudley Do Right, he is always there just when Bunches needs him. With these four guys in Bunches'(Erika's) life, you would think she didn't have time for any others. This book was very entertaining and funny to say the least as the story unfolds and Mike and Bunches get together. Although, the only problem I saw was that Ibn's girlfriend stuck around so long and accepted all that he did to her without the benefit of marriage with the justification that he buys her everything she needs, so she doesn't need anything else. This book is definitely a keeper/must read.

Summary: For My Brother
Review: What happens when four brothers, agree to take on the responsibility of looking out for a fellow frat's little sister? Answer, Trouble. Before Trevor died, he asked his frats to promise to help look out for 'Bunches' and the fellas pledged to do just that. Ibn, Dexter, Colin and Michael stepped up to the plate. Now introductions are in order: Ibn is in love with Ibn, he can give anything but himself. He showers his woman with material things, so she looks the other way as he spreads himself around.

Dexter's the nice guy, he's a little confused, but he's trying to put his priorities in the proper order. His girlfriend is pregnant and he doesn't love her, but he wants to do the right thing. Colin lacks self esteem, he does not know he's a man with something to offer. He stays 6 years with a woman who doesn't respect him, because he doesn't think he can do better. Michael, the most well-rounded of the bunch is wondering about a girlfriend from college who did everyone but him. Now she's back toting a bible and he is still interested, or is that just a smoke screen?

The one stability between these four brothas is their love for Bunches. The guys are putting her through Medical School and have formed a pact to keep potential suitors from her door, but they need to keep an eye on each other.

Marcus kept it real when he talked of how men and women jockey for strategic position in the game of love. The book showed the

positive and negative side of both sexes as they relate to relationships and again this book displayed the depth of friendship brothas share.

Summary: I Ended Up Liking It
Review: At first I wasn't too sure about this new release from Marcus Major. It started out kind of slow for me. However, I ended up really liking this one. I think I even liked it better than his first novel....Good Peoples.

4 Guys & Trouble(4G&T) tells the story of 4 college friends and the baby sister of one of their buddies. This buddy has died and on his deathbed he asks that his four buddies watch out for his little sis know as....Bunches.

When one of the buddies ends up falling for Bunches.....all heck is about to break loose. This is a story of of friendship, love and just how loyal they will be to the bond they all have.

4G&T also takes us on the wild ride into the lives of each of the 4 male characters and let me tell you it is just that a WILD ride. The bathroom scence in Chapter 1 still makes me laugh. Go get the book and find out for yourself how good it is. Peace & bleesings to Marcus Major.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: I haven't laughed out loud while reading a book in a long time. This book makes you laugh and makes you cry and is an overall feel good book. Marcus Major did an excellent job with creating each of the characters. Anyone that has a group of friends that are super tight, will definitely relate to the different lifestyles and personas of each of these characters.

Summary: A Great Find
Review: I picked this book up at a book sale, and I'm so glad that I did. It was very enjoyable. The book follows 4 frat brothers and the sister of their deceased friend. On his death bed, Trevor has his 4 best friends promise to take care of his baby sister. The "guys" take their promises to heart, treating Bunches like a princess. But all is not well in their worlds and we get to see how they treat (and are treated by) the other women in their lives. 4 Guys and Trouble gives a glimpse into the minds of 4 different African American men. Excellent. I recommend this book, and I'll be looking for more from Mr. Majors.

Summary: Much better that I expected
Review: Major's novel is smart, sexy, honest, and real... all in context. He balances the good with the bad and the unreal with the real. This book was excellently written and had me losing sleep just so I could finish it. The characters are real and three dimensional. You could actually see these charatcers walking down the street and interacting instead of just some made up people on paper. I loved this book and highly reccommend it. I would rate Marcus Major's writing right along side Eric Jerome Dickey's

Summary: This Book is GOOD!
Review: Marcus, you have done it again. Only this one was much better. I thought the idea was a good one where you have 4 guys protecting the interest of one of their friends, his sister. I liked that they (the guys) were tight and they didn't let a lot of trivial problems break up their relationship with one another. I like that each one had a good saga behind their personal relationship, but i must say that I liked Ibn's the best. The ending was also real, it wasn't sappy and it didn't leave you hanging. It also let room for a sequel if there wanted to be. This book was easy to read and it was funny. It kept you wanting more. If I could have given it a 10 I would have. Good job, Mr. Major.

Summary: The Guys and their problems
Review: 4Guys and Trouble was a very enjoyable read. Marcus Major has done it again with a great read. This one deals with 4 good friends and the problems they encounter in ther relationships. Each had their own set of problems to deal with .

Dexter sure learned a valuable lesson . Be very careful what you pray for ,because you just might get it.

Colin finally open his eyes to the relationship with Stacy he should have opened his eyes a long time ago.

Ibn learned two can play his game and he got beat at his own game. :-) Especially the night he met Tiffany at the Inn of the Dove. I have to say you go girl. I was thinking when she call don't do it . The night of the "Tiffany Split" was to much if don't believe me read pages 244-254 . Ms Tiffany said it is pay back time . The sistah made me proud. She was moving on. Micheal , finally learned who he was meant to be with. He just could not fight the feeling any longer.

This was a very good story but I will admit it was confusing in the start keeping up with each of the character.

I wished MM would have given each of the guys a chapter to introduce them to us so it would not be so hard to follow along. I had to get out my highlighter and notepaper and pen at first to follow along. I will rate it with 4.5 to 4.8 * other than that he certainly had 5* .
