Summary: Everybody and their MOMMA should read this....
Review: As usual, I don't provide the exact details of books in my reviews, just my opinion...

Mr. Weber is simply amazing as he continues to deliver stories that go a step above the usual everyday drama that people are accustomed to experiencing and reading about. As I close yet another one of his page-turning masterpieces, I wonder again what inspires his ideas. This book is remarkable, witty, candid, scandelous, and oozes ingenious and originality. I found myself at times laughing, crying, and wanting to ring the necks of the characters. At the end of the book, we're asked if we had to choose, which character in the book would we want to be and why. I'd be Becky - probably the only character in the book who wasn't involved in some things that would make you want to slap your momma...

Summary: Baby Mama Drama
Review: As I was reading Baby Mama Drama I felt as if Mr. Weber became each character as an actor does in a movie or play. It's obvious that he understands the characters that he writes about. His element is drama surrounding the life of two sisters and the choices they make. The ending suggests that the less drama in our lives equates to a more fulfilled life. He's adamant about his fiction and at the same time devoted to the truths that he so entertainingly writes about.

Summary: What a page turner!!
Review: One thing about Carl Webber, with his books, I am always talking to myself on the bus or train, saying, "NO HE DIDN'T!!", or, "He should have known she was cheating all along!" And I wasn't disappointed with this one. Carl knows how to grab your attention and he doesn't let go! I couldn't put the book down, I finished the book in one day and that is an amazing feat for me! Wonderfully written and absolutely hilarious!!

Summary: Drama Is As Drama Does!!!
Review: Carl Weber has once again entertained and enthralled his readers with this true to life story of Jasmine and Stephanie. This book was terrific from beginning to end and continually had me saying "oh no she didn't" and "I can relate, girl!". As a fan of Carl Weber, he did not disappoint and I can not wait to read "Playa Haters" when it is released. If you think you have drama in your life, read Baby Momma Drama and think again. From visiting your man in jail to fiending for your ex-lover, Weber tells it all!!!

Summary: True Lies
Review: True Lies would have been a better title for this book .
True Lies, or Lies and Secrets instead of Baby Momma Drama.

While I admit I have mixed rating and feeling about this novel.
Carl has done a great job writing this story but I was so upset with the characters that I did not enjoy it as much.
I just cannot understand Jasmine and Stephanie make so many unwise decisions.

Stephanie had a very good man one that would do anything and give her anything. She risk it all by having an affair with her baby's daddy Maleka.
All in the name of sex. I don't think it could every be that good .

While Jasmine was so stupid to have loved a guy like Derrick for so long. The things he ask her do do and she did them.
I just could not believe what I was reading at times.

Just to think a supervisor at the Post Office with a four year degree could make so many unwise decisions.
I tried not to call them stupid but that is exactly what they were.
I was pleased to know they finally wised up in the end.
A little to late for Stephanie.

While I have enjoyed Carl's other books and rated them with 5*
this one I could only truthfully give it 4.5* . Which is still good.

I look forward to reading his book next year . When Will and Diane returns from Married Men.

Summary: Too Much, Yet too Good
Review: Mr Weber has done it again, and chile, this is some drama. How can I start this? OK, you got two sisters, Jasmine and Stephanie. Jasmine is single, college educated, works at the post office, loves her family(though her and sister has sibling rivalry for a while there, and she meets this guy who she feels is the man for her. He tells her he is a lawyer, come to find out, he is the biggest street pharmaceutical pusher there is and goes to prison, where she supports him even though he has a son and baby momma who just won't go away. In time, she meets another brother Dylan,(who has some of his own drama) who seems too good to be true, and dispite all, comes through for Jasmine on more than one occasion. Ok. That is enough on her. On the other side of that coin is sister Stephanie. At the beginning of the book, I really considered her a true project hoodrat. No lie. She has a daughter with this guy who walks out on her at a most crucial time, and she meets Thomas, a military guy, who wanted just a booty call, and ends up with her. Despite their beginnings, Thomas and Stephanie hook up. He gives her a son, a house, a car, and just as they begin to make wedding plans and Thomas starts proceedings to adopt Stephanie's daughter, in walks Malek, Stephanie's ex, and her daughter's father, who starts trouble and wrecks serious havoc into Stephanie's life, which in the end, makes her lose Thomas. I won't get into how and why, I'll leave all of that for you to read. Another person that was a great character in the book was Big Momma. She was great and not about biting her tongue for none of these crazy guys her granddaughters were getting hooked up with. I kind of wish she kept on them about the choices they were making, but after so much, it is truly about to the person. Yet, this book was truly off the hook. Mad props to Mr Weber. These books keep getting crazy. But they hold your interest, and once again, I read this one within a day.

Summary: Carl does it again!!
Review: Once again Carl Weber has written a book that took me only one day to read. He allows you to know the characters enough so that you can either be totally upset with them for their ignorance and stupidity or happy for them because they have finally found the happiness that they deserve. I think he has touched on what alot of single people are going through today and are not strong enough to deal with or just choose not to.
If you are ready to sit down and enjoy a book non-stop this is what you've been waiting for. I can't wait until next year when his next book comes out. Keep up the good work!!!!

Summary: Somewhat Disappointed
Review: Unfortunately, the third time around for Carl Weber's latest novel was not what I expected. While I assumed it would be about babies, the momma and their drama, the writing of the story seemed somewhat simple. Having read Mr. Weber's first two novels, both of which were thoroughly enjoyable and extremely entertaining, Baby Momma Drama had a very very slow start, almost to the first 1/3 of the book. When it finally picked up, it just seemed too late to introduce the drama and after finishing the book, it was like....."is that it?" I'm inclined to think that this is the author's first story written, yet published third in line. One character in particular just seemed a little bit too....dumb for lack of better words and while I made the attempt to stretch my imagination as far as it could go considering the title and contents of the novel, the character just lacked even minimal common sense.

What I did find positive about the novel is that many readers may relate if they've ever known someone or personally experienced the particular baby momma drama syndrome expressed in the novel. In addition, the author's story kept your attention with the anticipation that the drama was on it's way. There are many times in the book that one will find themselves saying "oh my goodness" as there is plenty of drama going on (last 2/3rds of the book) with the inter-woven lives of the characters, however, for me, the story was just too predictable.

On a final positive note, I believe that Mr. Weber definately has a nack for telling drama filled stories, as he's proven that with all of his novels. As a reader I will continue to buy his work because he adds a different kind of flavor to the world of fiction writing and one "not so good" novel by an author doesn't set the pace for future stories to come.
