Review: I loved this book. This series has gotten better with each book and I'm finding it hard to wait for the next installment. (I've gotta learn more about Traed and what about that Familiar left on the trash heap?) This book was ssssexy and intriguing - I love how Dara Joy is developing this alternate universe and the building conflict in the underlying story. I'm eager to read more, more, more! This is by far Ms. Joy's best work yet.

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: Romance normally isn't my type of book, I read this out of boredom but I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard of the other books in this series but I didn't give them much thought, boy was I wrong to do that. This book was everything I could have hoped for, it had all the elements of a sizzling romance, but with a plot a science fiction fan could love. I liked the way Dara Joy kept the romance about Jenise and Gian Ren but included the other characters thoughts and feelings also. The previous characters were allowed to evolve, their stories didn't just end with their own books. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone else who loves a good book.

Summary: The Best of The Best
Review: This one is the undoubtedly the best of the Matrix series thus far. I agree that Rejar was something of a letdown (but still better than anything else in the genre) when compared to this novel - which i read first. This story has more depth and better developed characters than Rejar. This is probably the best of all the books on my keeper shelf. If you like fantasy, have a great imagination and like your stories to sizzle this book's for you.

Review: I have read this whole series and cannot wait for more! Where can I find a man like GIAN! Again, typical Dara Joy. This book was hot, sexy and funny as well. What a combination in a story! This book made you wish there really was such a place to live with these types of men on it.

Review: I wish I could call Dara Joy. I can't hardly wait to find out about Traed. He is for me.... And the woman who can finally tame him. This book was absolutely fantastic. I immediately went out and bought Rejar. I loved it too. But this book was the best. Also, I have to find out what happened to poor Dariq. I hope he heals and finds a mate to help him back to his home place. This is a book you must read over & over again...

Summary: I want my own Familiar!
Review: Mine To Take, the third installment in Dara Joy's Matrix of Destiny series, is one of the most enjoyable sexy books I've read in a while. Which is understandable since it's about Gian Ren - a high-placed male Familiar (a race of people who are shapechangers - they change from cats to human-like bodies and are unspeakably sexy and sexual - *Meeow* anyone?). The book takes place in an alternate fantastical reality and is essentially a road romance - the couple travels from planet to planet escaping danger after danger. In this universe Familiars are illegally drugged, captured and sold on the black market slave market by people wanting to exploit their sexuality. Gian Ren has had exactly this happen to him, and Jenise, a Princess on the run, offers to free him if he'll free her of her virginity. Thus begins their travel throughout the universe, as they try to get to safety and Gian Ren tries to convince Jenise to find freedom in love rather than seeing it as the prison that she sees it to be. This is one sexually charged book. The first sex scene takes place in the first 50 pages, and the book is peppered with hot, sexy love scenes throughout. Often when a book has lots of sex, it can be boring - with the couple boinking whenever possible, and the reader just getting tired of reading about it all the time. But in Mine To Take, the sex is so *unique* - with the author being very explicit about the (ahem) enhancements that Familiars have - and there is a character-driven storyline wherein Gian Ren is trying to convince Jenise that she need not be controlled by love, so the sex scenes are a part of this character development rather than being just repetitive boinkings. I don't recommend reading this book out of order. The series begins with Knight of a Trillion Stars (another good read), continues in Rejar, and then further develops in Mine To Take. And while this book is a good read in and of itself, it is about more than just the hero and heroine - the universe the book takes place in is heading toward upheavel (which will be covered in the next 6 installments of the series), and a reader unfamiliar with the first two books of the series would be confused by the many storylines in Mine To Take that revolve around characters other than Gian and Jenise. On the other hand, for those who have read Knight of a Trillion Stars and Rejar, this is a fun, sexy, enjoyable read that explains much of what has come before and builds excitement for the rest of the series.

Review: I've read "Mine to Take" a dozen times and will probably read it a dozen more. This is definatly on my KEEPER list. Gian Ren & Janise are explosive together. Throughly enjoyable. Can't wait for your next book. The book "Rejar" took me time to find but was well worth it. OK now for the questions for Ms. Joy .. When are we going to see the story on Traed ta'al Krue? Does he rescue Dariq? Does he mention to Yaniff seeing a battered body and Yaniff sends him to find his destiny? Please let me know when I can read the next story? Traed is mysterious but sexy.
