Rating: Summary: Mine To Take Review: I've read all of the Matrix of Desiny book Ms. Joy has published thus far and have found each to be a thrilling, romantic adventure. The stories are the most original I have read in a long time. And the sex scenes!! They are anything but typical of the genre. I can't wait for the other books in this series. I hope she publishes them soon, or I'll go crazy with boredom! This author is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: Each book gets better and better. I was shocked to read any reviews less than perfect here. Gian Ren is wonderful and, if you have read Rejar, you can figure out the secret here. If not, then it is a pleasant surprise.
Rating: Summary: Wigamabob! Review: Normally, I don't give a writer like Dara Joy a second chance, but Rejar was sufficiently amusing, and its problems reasonably fixable, that I felt like it would be fair to try again. And, hey, Mine to Take has a fairly provocative cover. So, it could be said that I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into. And I think that it is fair to say that Ms. Joy managed to eliminate many of the annoying tics that suggested that she was exceedingly pleased with her own prose. Nevertheless, the constant breathlessness is still present. Everything (not just the sex) is just so obvious. And when she foreshadows plotlines for future books, she absolutely pounds the reader over the head. Let's be clear: as evidenced by the abundance of positive reviews, this type of book fulfills some sort of romantic fiction need. That's OK, but if, like me, you read romances for stories that involve complex characters, witty and charged dialogue, and the emotional charge that comes from developing an interest in the successful outcome (the Happily Ever After), you might find Ms. Joy's delivery a bit lacking. Ultimately, Mine To Take revolves around a series of sex scenes that take place in unusual places (a dungeon, a tree, a cave, a seedy tavern), covered in the trappings of intergalactic fantasy. Character development and dialogue seems more like an afterthought designed to propel the series to later books. In fact, the only character's that really change and grow are heroes from past novels or future ones. Mine to Take suffers in comparison to Rejar in at least one key regard: Rejar mostly takes place on Earth, and the familiarity allows the user to sympathize with the heroes fish-out-of-water predicament. Mine To Take takes place on several different worlds, entirely creations of the author's imagination. Here, she fails to give these alien environments enough depth to make them an additive presence to her stories. One short guide-like alien who talks in oddly parsed sentences is named Wigamabob (or I-can't-think-of-a-name-and-Yoda-is-already-taken). So, in a nutshell: Mine To Take - good with the sex scenes, some of them memorable, but if you're looking for that perfect melange of romance and science-fiction or fantasy, you may wish to look elsewhere.
Rating: Summary: And mine to keep reading Review: This was the first book I read by Dara Joy and it captivated me instantly and still does. It is majic, romance and the most sensual novel I have read in many years. Dara Joy turns the written word about far off worlds and characters into liquid gold flowing through you. I quickly bought Rejar and Knight of a Trillion Stars and was not disappointed. I anxiously await the next installment of this series.
Rating: Summary: Best of the series! Review: This book had me in so deep I didn't want it to end. I found it as good and even better than the ones before. It was so great to see all the other heros brought back again in this book it, it was like a reunion of memories. I can not wait until the next book comes out!
Rating: Summary: Hot! Review: I bought this book on a whim and I didn't regret it. I love fantasy romance, but I wasn't sure if this was exactly to my taste. I didn't realize that the book was the third in a series of books, but it didn't seem to matter too much. References to other characters have now only peeked my interest to buy the other books. The female character was strong and the male was beyond sexy in both description and action. I've read other "cat-man" books, but this was by far the best read I've had in that genre. If you enjoy a fantasy romance with mind-blowing sex scenes and strongly written characters, don't hesitate to pick up this book. I'm certainly going to get the other books in the series!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT.. Review: I have read all of the Matrix of Destiny series and i have to say this book was my favourite.I can't wait and see what Traed's story would be like.Dara Joy is and always a very talented writer, keep it going.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: The first time I 've read Dara Joy's book is A knight of Trillion Stars. I souldn't take away my eyes from that book until I was finish. From that moment until now I always waited for a new book from Dara Joy. And then I found Mine to take which caught my eyes and my mind. It's fantastic story. A lesson of the power of woman's heart. And Gian Ren.....I wish there're still men like him and Lorgin ( I admired about Lorgin's Love, patience and braveness) in this world. And how about Traed? He's still a mystery for me. I can't wait the story about Traed.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Heroes Review: I found this book to be a breath of fresh literary air. The romance industry is starting to come into their own, due to the new and boundary stretching writing of authors like Dara Joy. I have not enjoyed a book like this in a long time. The heroes were written in such a sensuous manner that I forgot that they weren't real. Very imaginative story telling. Cannot wait until the next in the series. Bravo!
Rating: Summary: Totally hooked.............brilliant story again Review: This is the 3rd. book in the Matrix of destiny series I have read and it is absolutely brilliant. Gian Ren and Jenise are 2 of the most passionate lovers you will meet. You'll love the part of Gian's incarnation, the sex in it is explosive, sizzling and very red hot. It is in part due to his feline characteristics, Gian justs makes you purrrr. Once again Traed, Lorgin and Rejar, as well as the characters from the other 2 books are in this one. It was fantastic to catch up with them all again. Yaniff is still getting up to his tricks again, and there is a wonderfull surprise at the end of the book, but I won't spoil it by telling you. You will have to buy the book to find out what it is. Finally, I found out last week from Dara's website that Traed's story is next in the series and that it is not the last. Dara say's at the end of this book that there is many more to come. Please Dara make it quick, we can't wait long for Traeds story. Well done.
