Summary: Great story just not long enough to complete storyline.
Review: I have throughly enjoyed all three books in this series so far. Each book can easily be read as a stand alone title but this latest one really makes the reader anxious for the next in the series. It leaves many unanswered questions. My only hope is that there is not a year long wait before the next story is released.

Summary: I could not put the book down.
Review: This is the first book I have read about shape changers and I was entranced. The romance between Gian and Jenise was absolutely a wonderful read.So much so I had trouble putting the book down. If anyone like the hero Gian came into my life, I would follow him anywhere. Dara Joy has brought another type of romance reading into my life and I thank her for it.

Summary: Only problem -- over too quick!
Review: I really enjoyed this one...I didn't know it was coming out and got a big smile when I saw it at the bookstore. Then I started reading and couldn't put it down! As the other reviews say -- it is great to catch up with old characters. This combined the serious "quest" of the first book with the humor and hot stuff of all her books. I have read all of Ms. Joy's books and they are all great. HIGH ENERGY is sizzling and funny and her regency TONIGHT OR NEVER is the same. I love her characters!!! Check out the others if you have only read the Matrix set.

Summary: It was the best yet
Review: I read the book in one sitting. I love the way Joy writes and expands on the familier world. Ms. Joy please keep on writing. This is a definite keeper.

Summary: Purr-fectly awesome!!
Review: I have both of Dara Joy's previous books in the "Matrix of Destiny" series, so was waiting anxiously for this one. I was NOT disappointed. I got the book 4 days ago and have read it TWICE already! MINE to TAKE introduces Gian Ren, King of the Familiars, a character you will never (!!) forget. This book is as good as Knight of a Trillion Stars, a book I read when it first came out, about 3 years ago. The heroine, Jenise, is her best one yet in this series. I only have one comment - WRITE FASTER, DARA! I don't think I can wait a year for the next one.

Summary: A MUST READ!!!!
Review: This book is even better then Rejar!!! Dara Joy's fantasy world is shaping up very nicely. In this book she further expands the concept of the Wizards of Chrul and the race of Familiars and also pulls in the previous characters like Rejar and Tread whom we have come to know and love.

This book is about "Ren Gian". The king of familiars who was mentioned to be captured in the last book. It is obvious that the "Matrix of Destiny" series is far from over, with everyone bowing to Rejar in this book and the secret enemy that no one knows being introduced.

Finally, Dara Joy expands a little on the "900 strokes to love" and the abilities of the familiars :) This is a must read for all her fans.

Summary: dara is a joy to read!!!!!
Review: What a wonderful book. Once again, Ms. Joy does not disappoint. With "Mine to Take" Ms. Joy gives us much more detail about "her world". The interaction between the two main charactors is well, simply sizzling hot!!!! The plot is fast paced, sometimes serious and hilarious. This book also begins to reveal much about the "familiar world" and it's mysteries. You will meet all her previous characters again and be introduced to some simply wonderful new ones. I can't wait to read the next installment of this series. After so many of the dull reads this summer, this books was simply a "joy" to read. (I couldn't resist). Please, please keep writing Ms. Joy. A keeper.

Summary: Great
Review: Another hard to put down book from Dara Joy....I love her originality and imagination.....and her characters are always hot...

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Better than your average romance
Review: This book wasn't bad. The characters were fun, the sex was frequent and compelling, and the story had a halfway decent plotline. I don't think it quite deserved the insane level of adulation and adoration that has been heaped on it by the other reviewers here, but I still think it's a good read and worth the money you'll spend to buy it.

However, I do believe there may be a special level of hell reserved for its bone-lazy editor/proofreader, who appears to have done next to no work on it. There are numerous punctuation errors, one paragraph is printed twice in a row, and they let this line into the book: HE STOOD IN THE MOONLIGHT, WALKING TOWARDS HER. Huh? So which is he doing: standing or walking? He can't do both! I mean, he's talented...but not THAT talented.

I must admit, I did lose a lot of faith in this book in several places. Firstly, there's the scene in which a knight pulls out a light sabre. Seriously, the author seemed so keen to rip off--I mean, pay homage to--Star Wars, why didn't she just go the whole hog and say JEDI knight? Secondly, when the hero and heroine have to get through a huge tract of deadly plants, I was forced to wonder: I know this is a simple society, but even ancient hunter gatherer societies from time immemorial have used fire as a means to control plant growth. How has no one living there ever thought before now: 'Hmmm. Dangerous plants are growing rather close to our settlement. Why don't we burn them back a bit?' Seriously! There are more flaws, but it would take all day to list them. Sadly, it was the flaws that made me laugh far more than the actual 'witty banter' in the book, which really only made me smile a little.

In spite of any of my criticisms, however, I quite liked this book. You probably will too, especially if you like men and cats (and let's face it, who doesn't!) Buy it, by all means. But expect it to be like a man--it's kind of nice, you'll be glad you have it around, and you'll even accept its flaws, but it'll annoy you sometimes, and then you'll really wish you could change it!

By the way, if any of you Dara Joy fans are wondering why no sequel to this book has yet been published, you might want to read why on Dara's website www.officialdarajoy.com. When you read that, I am sure you will join with me in wishing Dara Joy good luck in future with sorting out the unfortunate problems she is facing.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: I have only recently discovered Dara Joy and am blazing through everything she has written. What a find! She is a wonderful writer, imaginative, humorous, and sensuous. I think this is her best book, though that's not to say that the rest of them are not excellent as well. She is a spellbinding teller of tales, and I hope she continues with the Matrix of Destiny adventures.

Bravo!
