Summary: The Best one Yet
Review: I have read all of Christina Skye's books and rank this one at the top of the list! The Draycott Abbey series contain many wonderful characters which appear regularly but she always manages to give each book a new character or two and heroes who thrill. I laughed, I sighed, I tingled and when I was finished I immediately put her next book (due next year) at the top of my reading list.

Summary: Excellent quick read....almost "Cinderella-like"
Review: I was a newcomer to the Draycott Abbey series, but I really look forward to catching up on all the back books in the series I have missed. The love/ghost story of Hope & Ronan was very entertaining. The "supporting cast of characters" including the 3 fairy godmothers reminded me of one of my all time favorite fairy tales, Cinderella. I strongly suggest this wonderful mix of humor, fantasy, & romance for a long winter weekend.

Summary: Ms. Skye wrote my experiences before it actually happened.
Review: I wrote a very long review and my input but do not know if it actually got sent. Please advise this is my first (not last) time doing this.

Summary: LOVED IT!
Review: Out of all the Draycott series I've read (and I only have 2 to go), I loved this one the best. I loved all of them so that's saying a lot. I've read this one 4 times and never get tired of it.

The main characters and even the secondary characters are wonderful. The time-crossed lovers are my favorite, only second to Gideon the ghost cat. Old familiars are revisited (characters from the other books) and the story is interesting - hauntingly, with a touch of mystery and intrigue - and a timeless love story, of course.

My only problem with it and all time travel novels is: Like the Native Americans when they first encountered the white man, time travelers would have little or no immunity to our diseases. They could die of something as simple as the chicken pox. And someone going back in time could take all sorts of diseases back with them and start epidemics - small pox, polio, etc. These issues are never dealt with...

But I guess if I wanted realism I wouldn't read fantasy.

Anyway, I highly recommend this book to all time travel, ghost or simply romance fans. There are even a couple of witches thrown in - the old, interferring grandma type (like Sleeping Beauty had)...

Summary: Sets you up for a fall
Review: The concept was very interesting: Damsel in 21st-Century distress. Enter the gallant knight from 700 years in the past. Hope is in dire straights and only a miracle in the form of a tortured but honorable Ronan Macleod can save her and her failing inn.
The premise was what drew me in the first place. Unfortunately, the author never made good on her promise of a good love story. Once she introduced the main characters, the author seemed at a loss as to what to do with them. She tries to introduce more elements like a ghost, witches or fairies or however you want to call them, a sinister stalker, etc.
Christina Skye seemed unsure of how to pull them all together. In the end, it felt like overkill; too many elements and incapability to pull them all together. It could have been a great story, but it never delivered what it promised. I recommend checking it out at the local library if you really want to read it.

Summary: One of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!!!
Review: This is definately one of those Keeper books. I love the whole Draycott Abbey Series, and can't wait for the next one. Hint, Hint, Christina!!!

A reluctant hero, a maid in dire straits, three bumbling witches and of course, Adrian the guardian ghost from Draycott Abbey all combine into one of the most entertaining reads ever!

You want romance, well honey, you've got it in this one. One to sigh over and read again and again.

Summary: You will love this book!!
Review: This is one of those rare books that you'll race to finish and be sorry when you're done. There were so many positive aspects to this story: the well-drawn and sympathetic characters, the amusing secondary characters (particularly the witches - I'd love to see more of their meddling!), the appealing setting and the excellent writing. This was my first book by Christina Skye and I plan to read her others right away! I bought this book on the basis of other reader recommendations and they didn't steer me wrong! Enjoy!

Summary: A beautiful love story .
Review: This is the first of Ms. Skye's books I ever read. Picked it up by chance. The knight is someone every girl dreams of meeting and loving. Big, strong and handsome, and sincere. How he rode into her life and helped her because this is what he was "trained" to do. Even the age difference was overcome! Would love to read a sequal on their lives together now that they are together forever. Please we need more fantasies like this one Ms. Skye. Please recommend my next read by Ms. Skye that has shades of Christmas Knight. Thank you.

Summary: Strange but romantic
Review: Well, I'm not normally a fan of time-travel romances, but this book did have a timeless quality to the romance between Hope and Macleod. It was a bit boring and of course hard to fathom, but for the romantics at heart, it is beautiful.
