It was such fun to witness Rolf's fascination over all of the modern inventions that he came across.....This is my first book by Sandra Hill..I'm so excited to have discovered her and I can't wait to read more of her stories. Don't deny yourself the pleasure!!! Read this book!!!!

Summary: Definite must read
Review: I found out about this book on the Kevin Sorbo mailing list because of the references made to Kevin Sorbo and I bought it to see for myself. And I am glad I did the book was excellent, it was the second romance novel I've read and won't be the last. The dialog between Rolf and Merry-Death was fabulous. I laughed and cried and laughed and cried. Rolf's curosity was one of the best parts of the book along with his obsession with Tim "the Tool Man" and Oreo cookies. If you read only one romance novel, try this one, it is a definate must read.

Summary: Wonderfully fun read
Review: I had not read anything by Sandra Hill until this book. The write up on it intrigued me and so, I purchased it. It was a great purchase and one which I have re-read several times.

Rolf is a 10th century Viking who is transported through time to meet his match in Meredith, whom he calls, "Merry-Death"! Meredith, a college professor, needs his help in fulfilling her grandfather's dream of a college program which builds a Viking longship using only implements and materials which are historically accurate to the time in which these ships were built. Rolf is a master shipbuilder of his time. However, Rolf has an obligation to his family in his own century and so, seeks a way to return to his own time. The conflict - he has fallen in love with "Merry-Death" and is torn between his love for her and the obligation he has to his family and the people of his own time.

The quirks in the story, the play on words, the tension between the hero and heroine, the unique way in which Rolf sees the 20th century and how he communicates with those around him is a scream - as are his favorite food combinations! (you just have to read it to believe it!)

This book is one you will put on your keeper shelf and read again and again for the fun, the laughter and the romance.

If you haven't yet tried it, run out and find one. You'll be glad you did.

Summary: Best Time Travel I've Ever Read
Review: I happened to pick this book up at the library and read it in one sitting. After returning the book, I went out and bought it. I just know I'll want to read it soon again, it's that funny, original, and poignant. Merry-death and Rolf, her outrageously handsome and sexy Viking, are an unforgettable couple. Sandra Hill writes stories that are witty, fast-paced, and totally entertaining. I've bought all of her books since picking up The Last Viking and highly recommend her work.

Summary: This is a wonderful book
Review: I loved this book! At times I laughed until I had tears rolling down my face, at other times I was totally caught up in the intense romance between Rolf and Merrideth. This was my first Sandra Hill novel, but I have already ordered several more. The writing was imaginative, the romance heartfelt and the passion palpable. Enjoy!

Summary: a Wonderful wonderful book!
Review: I loved this book. It made me laugh and cry and I even found myself breathless after a few of the love scenes. This is the story of Gierolf, or Rolf, the hero, who is a Real Live Viking from the year 997. He is in a boat wreck and somehow ends up in 1997 off the shores of Maine. Our heroine, Meridith, or Merry-Death as Rolf calls her, is a professor at a nearby collage. She is trying to complete a project started by her late grandfather. A Viking Longboat. Rolf arrives just in time to help. He is fasinated by all the modern conviences but she is still not quite sure that he is telling her the truth about his time travel. The fall in love but he must try and go back in time to complete a task so this causes a rift between them. How this rift is overcome is a ending I wasn't expecting. The secondary character of Mike is wonderful and I liked Thea the niece also. Sandra Hill has a definate winner here. Make sure you have kleenex when you read this.
