Summary: Don't waste your time
Review: "Calebs Bride," has the makings of an enticing novella, but I found the story to be slow, predictable, and poorly written. The characters Roxy and Caleb are plunged into a directionless plot filled with base and stereotypical characters. Caleb the assummed "Hero," is nothing more than a rapist and low-life back woodsman who doesn't speak proper English, and hardly ever bathes. Why the heroine of this book would ever fall for someone as vile as Caleb is beyond my comprehension? Hess assumes a lot to think that her readers want to engage in something that is almost as insulting as her lead character. I couldn't bring myself finish this tripe piece of terrible literature! Please don't waste your time or money.

Summary: Norah Hess Fan
Review: I must say this book was very different from her other books. I suggest if you have never read her books before DO NOT read this book FIRST. This was published back in the 70s by playboy press and its very different from her writings today. But if you are a Norah Hess fan and have read her other work you would relize how different this book is. I liked the story but I noticed a lot of people didn't.
So again I suggest you do not read this book until you read her more recent work.
