Summary: The Thrilling Conclusion of the Heirs of Cahira O'Connor Ser
Review: Cahira O'Connor--resisting her confining, traditional role as a king's daughter, fiery-spirited Cahira dreams of practicing her bow, not of capturing a husband. But when Norman invaders challenge the borders of the Kingdom of Connacht, Cahira finds both the one man who could win her heart and an irresistible calling to fight for the land and people she loves.

Kathleen O'Connor--brought to Ireland by the most dubious of circumstances, Kathleen struggles to fit in at the O'Neils' farm and focus on her research on the life of her ancestor Cahira. There among Ireland's emerald hills, Kathleen finds far more than she could ever have dreamed--including her own surprising destiny as an heir of Cahira O'Connor.

Interweaving two captivating stories of romance and intrigue, humor and faith, THE EMERALD ISLE wraps up the multi-colored threads of Angela Hunt's Heris of Cahira O'Connor in a page-turning conclusion that will satisfy both spirit and heart.

Summary: Two stories in one book...Past and present
Review: I devoured the first 3 books of this series. They were moving and wonderful. This book is just as good as the other 3. In this book, we find out the story of Cahira O'Connor. A brave young woman who stood up to her father/king and an opposing force for the man that she loved. We also finish the story of Kathleen O'Connor, who has been doing the research on the descendants of Cahira. She is in Ireland for the wedding of her best friend Taylor and his fiancee (whom she introduced) Maddie.

This book describes the journey of Kathleen's faith, and how she comes to rely on herself for her own happiness. She realizes her own role in the Cahira tradition is not to chronicle the stories, or to take up arms to fight, but to live. She finds her own way in Ireland, and the ending of the book brings everything full circle and to a satisfying conclusion.

Summary: Simply the best!
Review: I picked up this book for two reasons. Number One: Angela Hunt is an amazing author. Number Two: I had to find out how the O'Connor story ended, of course! I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Not only does The Emerald Isle tell of Kathleen's adventure, it also goes back eight hundred years to tell how the story began, with Cahira O'Connor. At the end, I couldn't decide which side I liked more. Both characters are women of incredible faith and courage. I highly recommend this book, indeed, the whole series.

Summary: This Series is Inspiring!
Review: The lessons taught through each of the female characters in this series combine to reveal a most beautiful creation in the Lord--woman. Spiritual strength, creative joy, raw courage, responsibility, commitment, obedience, ingenuity, compassionate wisdom, all with a sense of humor. I loved the way this series ended! As always, there was wonderful spiritual counsel and wisdom all the way through this novel and the entire series.

Summary: Delightful Read!
Review: The stories of Cahira and Kathleen are juxtaposed beautifully in this wonderful story of God's grace and sovereignty and people's shortcomings. A lovely story of Ireland, past and present. If you love Ireland, this is for you.

Summary: Captivating Book! Worth Rereading Again and Again!
Review: This book- The Emerald Isle- is indeed my favorite book above all three of the preceding books in The Heirs of Cahira Series. After Kathleen O'Connor has faithfully recorded the lives of three previous O'Connors, each who left traditional roles to follow the paths God ordained for each of them- each two hundred years apart, Kathleen herself must fulfill her own destiny. Her good friend, Taylor Morgan is now engaged, and is dragging Kathleen off to Ireland for the wedding. There, Kathleen finally grows into the role to which God has called her, though kicking and screaming. Entwined with Kathleen's story is the story of the first O'Connor- Cahira, whose story is much better than Romeo and Juliet! I never enjoyed a book so much in my entire life! I finished the 400 page book in 4 hours- in one sitting. I couldn't put it down! It was very satisfying, had a great plot, and awesome description, as always. By the way- I have a delightful image of what Patrick, the character is like. You should read the book just to find out about him! Haha! Now I have you hanging!
