Summary: Irresistible Heart and Charm
Review: A Kiss to Remember is a fairytale novel of infinite heart and charm.

In a twist on the Sleeping Beauty tale, pert and resourceful Laura Fairleigh-who must marry within the next 3 weeks or lose her home and family-finds the dashing Sterling Harlow, Duke of Devonbrooke, collapsed unconscious in the woods beyond her country estate. Her kiss awakens him but fails to jog his memory, which he's lost from a serious blow to the head as he fell from his horse. Failing to be able to ascertain his identity, Laura convinces him that he is her fiancé, is named Nicholas and that he's used to behaving in the way she secretly imagines her dream man would.

The two quickly fall in love and plan to marry-before Laura's twenty-first birthday and before the arrival of the notorious and fabulously wealthy rake Sterling Harlow, dubbed the Devil of Devonbrooke, who has planned to toss orphans Laura, her mischievous younger sister Lottie and brother George out to bitterly reclaim his estranged and recently deceased mother's estate.

Laura and Sterling's courtship, leading up to their marriage, is fascinating but even more riveting after Sterling regains his memory and determines to bind Laura to him forever and make her pay for the betrayal of her lies to him-just as he made his mother pay by never forgiving her for having given him up when he was a child. His love vs. bitterness struggle with Laura makes for many great moments.

All of Medeiros' characters are well-developed, multidimensional and delightful, and their witty repartee is a pleasure to witness. Sterling and Laura's steamy relationship is all the more compelling because we really know and care deeply about each of them.

A Kiss to Remember is an irresistible read-impossible to put down and full of clever, humorous, moving and thoroughly enjoyable moments.

Summary: Pleasurable and Sweet
Review: A Kiss to Remember strikes at the heart of those of us that like to see characters forgiven and redeemed by the heroine's love. In this book, the Devil Duke, loses his memory and is given a new chance with a girl his mother loved as her own daughter.

Neither one of the main character's childhoods really allowed them the freedom of being themselves. The Duke is especially wounded having being abondoned by his father and abused by his uncle. Laura longs to show Sterling that he was truly loved by his mother. She just has to get past the tough exterior Sterling has to cover his true sensitive nature. Of course, with the help of two younger siblings, especially her conniving baby sister Lottie, Laura gets in a lot of trouble on her path to redemption.

The romance is hot in this book. A sensual spell is woven around the two main characters that truly ignite feelings that their love is real. It's an amazing quality that Teresa has fed into this rather well-known story. It delighted me and i have re-read the book many times just to see Laura and Sterling relive their passion!

Summary: A Kiss to Remember
Review: A rather boring book. Boy meets girl falls in love type. Not enough plot and what there is is not interesting. I have read a few other books by this author but will not purchase another. I like some sizzle in a romance and I found none in this one.

Summary: An enchanting Kiss that breathes imagination
Review: After her savagely poignant take on The Bride and The Beast, Teresa Medeiro sprinkles her fairy dust onto her enchanting spin on Sleeping Beauty with A KISS TO REMEMBER. Given to his ruthlessly cynical uncle by his parents, Sterling Harlow grows up to be a replica of the curmudgeon without paternal love. He ignores his mother's pleas to reconcile and swears to reclaim his Arden Manor. With the demise of his mother, Sterling now the duke of Devonbrooke decides to repossess his house and throw Laura Fairleigh and her siblings aside. He is jealous of the care his mother had showered upon strangers rather than her son.

His trip unexpectedly causes him a fall which led to amnesia. He is awakened by a kiss from Laura who, being compelled by circumstances, claims him to his husband Nicholas. A passion ensues between them but Laura knows her happiness will be threatened by Nichola's real awakening...

Teresa Medeiro once again breathes imagination into her story. Peopled with entertaining characters like Lottie and George as well as her servants Cookie, it crackles with warmth and laughter. It is ultimately a tale of love and redemption which under Medeiro's silver pen becomes wispy and poignant. It is sensual and laced with snappy dialogue - and the characters are brimming with emotions. This deliciously frothy read should make it a tale to be remembered.

Summary: 5 stars! Very highly recommended.
Review: Every book Ms. Medeiros has written goes right to my keeper shelf, and this one is no exception. The author always knows how to write scenes that are both poignant and laugh-out-loud funny. What I liked best about this story was the emotional depth and plot twists. Laura and Sterling are wonderful characters.

Summary: Just can't give it any higher, guys . . .
Review: Every other reviewer here has pretty much given this a 4 or 5 star rating. I'm going to give it a 3 (and probably have huge backlash for it, too). I'm so sorry guys, but I just can't bring myself to give it any more stars.

I love Teresa Medeiros. Every single on of her previous books I've flipped through NUMEROUS times (okay, that's a lie - I didn't really care for Nobody's Darling either, but hey . . . ). Besides that ONE other exception, I think she's a great writer with great characters. For some reason, though, this book just seemed SO slow to me. Maybe I'm defective, but usually I can sink into a Medeiros book and just coast - I couldn't do that with this one for some reason. Perhaps the heroine just didn't appeal to me? Or the plot? Or both? Yeah. I think it's both.

Laura (or Lauren - goodness I can't even remember her name)is a parent-less young woman living on a country estate owned by a high-end duke by the name of Sterling. Due to a long time grudge with the previous tenants of said estate, Duke Sterling goes to evict Laura and her gang from their home. On the way there, he is inflicted with amnesia, and ends up (through a desperate trick of Laura's) in marrying the tenant he was about to boot. Eventually, OF COURSE, he gets his memory back and thus, hilarity ensues.

As usual, Teresa's characters are great and believable, but this story was just too hokey for me. Maybe I have a grudge against the whole "amnesia" plot device, but even outside of that I found the story-line contrived and unexciting. It was lacking spark.

If you've never read Medeiros before, my suggestion would be to pick up Heather and Velvet or Breath of Magic INSTEAD of this - fabulous stuff and much more fun to read - I hung off of every word. THOSE are romance novels done OH-SO-RIGHT (in my humble opinion). Sadly, though, A Kiss To Remember just wasn't up to par with her past stuff . . . Teresa has set my expectations too high.

Happy Reading!

Summary: This one made me laugh and cry!
Review: I always enjoy Madieros's books because she doesn't write about perfect people, but about people with flaws just like me. They always grow and learn from their mistakes while we enjoy their fun and touching stories. Even when Laura messed up, I found myself wanting everything to come out okay for her. And Stirling sure made my heart beat faster! I was so glad they found each other. I finished the book with tears in my eyes and a sigh of happiness. I hope she does Lottie's story next.

Summary: Touching and tender!
Review: I finished this book with tears streaming down my face. It seemed more to me than just a romance. It was also about learning to forgive those we love who may do the wrong things for the right reasons. That's what I love about Theresa Medeiros's books. She's not afraid to tackle complex themes, but she does it with such charm and humor that I never feel like I'm being preached to. This is a big-time keeper!

Summary: Quite Unforgettable
Review: I hated the first book I read by this author but after reading so many favorable reviews on her, I decided to give her another try. I am very glad I did because this book was an excellent read and has earned highly coveted space on my keeper's shelf. :)

Laura Fairleigh is looking for a husband but unfortunately it is slim pickings in the small village where she lives. Because of a pesky condition in her guardian's will Laura needs to wed post haste if she is to keep the home where she and her two young siblings have been residing since their parents death. One day Laura happens upon a handsome stranger in the woods near her home. She gives in to an inner impulse and kisses the beautiful stranger on the lips. He awakens to find a stunning young woman kissing him and with no recollection of who he is. Laura realizes this is the miracle she has been praying for, so she takes the stranger home and tells him they're engaged and that he lost his memory while fighting agaisnt Napoleon. She tells him his name is Nicholas and fabricates stories in response to his many questions. She has recruited her family's help and in no time she and Nicholas are walking down the aisle. What Laura doesn't know is that her "Nicholas" is a duke whom society has dubbed the "Devil of Devonbrooke" and the only person in the world she thoroughly despises.

I thought this was quite a refreshing spin on the Sleeping Beauty tale. Ms. Medeiros has an unique style that seamlessly blends sensuality, romance, humor and poignancy. Unlike other historical authors, the humor in Ms. Medeiros book doesn't feel forced or unnatural and I was surprised to find myself laughing aloud at Laura's siblings and their antics. This book doesn't boast any suspense or murder mysteries or cartoonish villains. It is just a sweet, simply told love story that warms the heart. Highly recommended. :)

Summary: enjoyable
Review: I have always liked this authors work and this book was no exception. Her books have well thoughout plots and very well developed characters. They are filled with passion, tenderness, laughter and love.

This book is about how the heroine, Laura, needs a husband to keep the house that her and her siblings are living in. Her parents have been dead for years and the nice woman who took them in has also passed on but she left the house to Laura if she is married by her 21st birthday. So when Laura finds a unconscious man in the woods she decides to make him her husband. She falls for her fiance/husband before she ever finds out his true identity.
The hero is Sterling Harlow the man who can take away Laura's home. He is the estranged son of the woman who left her the house. He is one his way to claim his home when he falls from the horse he is riding and when he awakes he has no memory of who he is or what he was doing. He becomes Laura's fiance and soon works his way into all of their lives.

When his memory returns he must decide what to do about Laura and his strong feelings for her. The struggle makes the ending all that much sweeter.

I enjoyed this book and plan on reading more from this author soon.
