Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: I love Diana Palmer. However, I was very disappointed with this book. Too many characters. Sometimes confusing.
Rating: Summary: Diana Palmer has done it again! Review: I never tire of reading a Diana Palmer book. In Mercenarys Woman she brought to life a new cast of characters and brought back alot of olders ones. Sally's and Eb's story revolves around a man named Lopez who runs a drug cartel. Sally's Aunt Jessica was the person who put Lopez in prison but now he is out and looking for revenge. Jessica, now blind, moves Sally and her son back to Jacobsville for protection. Protection in the form of Ebenezer Scott and his contacts. Diana has brought back her Soliders of Fortune series with a vengence. Sally and Eb's romance is filled with passion and danger, with Jessica's past love returning to complete the novel. I can't wait for the next installment of this series and I love the way Diana has incorporated her soldiers with her long tall texans. And a small note for Diana, hurry up with Micah and Cord's stories, I can't wait!
Rating: Summary: Mercenary'a Woman: Soldiers of Fortune Review: I read Solder's of Fortune and i couldn't wait for this book to come out. I was very disapointed. There was not enough development of the characters and too much concentration on getting ready to fight off the "bad guys".
Rating: Summary: Mercenarys Woman (Romance, 1444 Review: If you have read the other Soldier of Fortune books by Diana Palmer you will be disappointed in this one. I have waited two months for this book. I couldn't wait to read it. This was let me just hurry up with this book! Don't get me wrong I love Diana Palmer books, but this one is definitely not up to par.
Rating: Summary: Palmer's Mercenaries are Back! Review: Just returned from a disaster in Africa, mercenary soldier Ebenezer Scott went too far in discouraging teenager Sally Johnson's crush. Now, six years later, Eb has left his active service and wants to woo Sally, but first he must protect her, her blind aunt and young cousin from returning enemies.Sally and Eb's love story is joined by a separate story about her aunt and a former lover, distracting the reader. In addition, other mercenaries are introduced for future books, grabbing your attention. That said, this is still a terrific book, mixing the action and romance nicely. Sally is now enough woman to accept Eb's work, rough visitors, and Eb's macho quirks. You will even feel pity for drug lord and killer, Manuel Lopez, a man with his own peculiar honor. I look forward to stories about Cy and Lisa, Maggie and Cole, Callie and Micah. And please give Rodrigo his own woman.
Rating: Summary: Anti-climatic (disappointing ending) Review: Read Soliders of Fortune and it was a definite 5 star. Hoped that Diana Palmer would carry the same intensity over to this book but something was definitely missing. The ending was totally unbelieveable. Children, today, are not kidnapped especially by drug lords only to be returned without a fight, no ransom, no anything! Had interesting characters and if the author would have added another fifty pages of action and intensified the ending this book could have rated at least 4 stars instead of 1!
Rating: Summary: It Was Pretty Good Review: Though I didn't find it as an utter disappointment that other reviewers seemed to find the book, I did somewhat enjoy it and found that although the story could have had a little more length to it to add some more action, I enjoyed the hero and heroine. I had been looking forward to getting this book and as it was not one of the best books that I have read by Ms. Palmer, I can't say that it has been the worst either.
Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: Too vague, rambling, hard to follow. Really needed an editor or proof reader. Not up to Diana Palmer's usual stadards. Seem to be an introduction to follow up books.
