Rating: Summary: Intense and passionate writing Review: A wonderful example of what a romance novel can be in the hands of a truly gifted writer. I really appreciate authors who can build up emotions and conflicts that ring true. Nicole Jordan does this so well that you are completely engrossed in the story she's telling as opposed to just flipping through the pages. She also has a gift for writing sensual scenes that are truly top-notch, which is an added bonus for a writer who can do all the other important things so well. Great novel.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! Review: Being a long time fan of Ms. Jordan's work, I wasn't surprised that this story was yet another hit in a long line of classics. There were minor parts or places that I missed the romance of it all. I definitely understood they lusted after each other--but hey good lust is hard to find as well. Keep up the Good work, Ms. Jordan.

Rating: Summary: In a word.....AWESOME!!! Review: I am not a huge fan of Western historicals, I usually read Medievel, but I was so swept up in this book that I want to read all of Ms. Jordans other books. This book was awesome! Not very many books make my heart physically ache but this one did. I felt so bad for Heather. How could she not love the hell out of Sloan. What a man. I did think that he was a huge jerk to her throughout the entire book and I think she should have let him sweat a little more before she went back to him but I understand why she had a hard time resisting him. I am very impressed with Nicole's writing. It is fast paced and she draws you in to a hot (and I mean hot!) luscious story. I can't wait to read the next one.
Rating: Summary: The story & characters are good but to much extreme sex Review: I enjoyed the story &characters but she had to much extreme sex & inappropate words in reguard to the sex .Very offencive.
Rating: Summary: What a unique style of writing. Review: I love Nicole's book. I think she is the best. Her story is passionate. After I read this book, I searched & bought all of her other books.
Rating: Summary: a struggle between the power of love and power of anger Review: Since the death of his beloved wife, Sloan McCord is an embittered loner who needs a woman to care for his infant daughter and oversee his home. Burdened by family debts, Heather Ashford agrees to a cold marriage of convenience with the ruggedly handsome rancher. Despite the arrangement,Heather soon responds to Sloan's brooding sensuality. Craving affection from the distant man, Heather must first heal Sloan's damaged heart--before he breaks hers. We see the development of the relation between them and how Sloan admires Heather's persistance to gain his love. The novel exemplifies the struggle between the power of love that Heather has for Sloan and his anger and vulgarity after his wife's death
Rating: Summary: Made me want to run out and buy all her past books! Review: Sloan McCord needed a mother for his half Indian daughter. Unable to defile the memory of his deceased wife, Doe, he arranges a marriage to Heather Ashford.
Heather's family debts made her close the doors to her school. Even though she had never met him, she agreed to Sloan's proposal of marriage by letter.
Work on the ranch was hard, but Heather came to love it. Janna was like her own daughter and times with Sloan were hot. As Heather grew to love all of it, she ached for the love Sloan could not give her in return.
With her help, Sloan won the election for Senate. Now he was losing Heather all by himself.
***One of the best historical romances I've read. I have hope that other characters I am fond of will have their own story. Nicole can make some powerful men in her stories!***
Rating: Summary: What a Heartbreaker Review: Sloan McCord was reall possessed with his dead wife. But his wife who was a Cheyenne Indian left him to raise a little girl. Sloan needed a mother for his daughter and a wife. He really didn't want to love her, but have her for looks and for to raise his young daughter. What he got was not what he figured. He meets Heather Ashford a once well to do young woman with schooling and social skills. Heather now in debt from her father's careless gambling receives a letter from a dear friend that seems to have a solution to her problem. She accepts the offer from Sloan to become his wife and in return he pays her debts. The electricity between these two are so awesome. Sloan denies she effects him in any way. Heather falls hopelessly in love with Sloan. Sloan really made me angry with the way he was treating Heather. I found myself talking to the book. He was ridiculous with his comparisons of her and his dead wife. My first Nicole Jordan novel was The Seduction. After reading it, I decided to find all of her books. She is a wonderful writer that seems to bring her characters to life.
