Review: In this latest installment of the Madaris family stories, Ms. Jackson manages to bring a fresh new story with two very interesting people in Colonel Ashton Sinclair and Netherland Brooms. The sensual tension between the two is so strong you can feel it through the pages of the book.The title lets you know that someone is going to have to SURRENDER, because although Ashton is in love with Netherland, she has vowed to never get involved with a military man since she grew up an army brat, moving around. It takes an awesome man like Ashton to change her mind. In SURRENDER Ms. Jackson manages to tell a very captivating love story, full of romance and passion, and bring you up to date on characters from her previous stories in the Madaris family as well. She also manages to introduce a few new characters, all without missing a beat or taking away from the storyline. I started reading this book around 11 p.m. and found myself up reading all night because I could not put it down. SURRENDER has the depth to stand alone, but after you read it, you will definitely want to read the previous books in this dynamite series. A list of the previous titles are listed in the front of the book. It wil be well worth it. This one is a definite keeper for the bookshelf.

Review: How am I supposed to sleep with writing like this? This is my first Brenda Jackson novel and I am hooked. I can't wait to read all of the others about the Madaris Family. This is the story of Ashton Sinclair and Netherland Brooms- a military colonel and the woman who swore she'd never date a military man. He SEDUCES her and you right along with him. There is reference to Native American culture that makes this quite different from other books I've read in this genre. The intricacy of the characters and the interesting subplots make this a multidimensional story that is well-worth the read. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in Arabesque novels.

Review: This was my first time reading any of Brenda Jackson's books, and I got to say it is mouth-watering. I was so amazed at this book that I couldn't put it down. I was just looking for books to read in our family's book club and decided to try Brenda Jackson and I'm glad I did. This is a very good book and I hope readers to come will enjoy it.

Review: Nettie and Ashton's story, "Surrender" is really provocative and romantic. I loved it just as much as I did the other stories about the Madarises and their friends. "Surrender" was truly wonderful. Ashton is just the man for Nettie. It was great the way Ms. Jackson brought them together and worked her magic with the couple. There are really some great chapters in this book!! For a man like Ashton, I would become a bidder too!! The readers are also updated on what's happening from the previous books. If you have not read this one yet, I suggest you get to it. You will love it as much as you did the others. I hope Ms. Jackson is working on Alex and Christy's story. Also, I would like to know what's happening with Rainey and Howard. There is definitely love blooming for these two couples.

Review: This was by far the worst romance novel that I have ever read. It was a total MeSs! One of the main things that I really hated, is how the author introduced all 1,000 characters (I'm exaggerating, but hopefully you get my point) by first, middle, and last name and their family members names, i.e., brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents....... Shouldn't a romance be focused on one couple? I sure thought that it should. But no, this novel had about twenty different couples going through twenty different obstacles! Further more, would someone please tell me, why this author expects the reader to be stupid enough to imagine a man in the U.S. Marine Corps, while wearing his military uniform, to have hair hanging from under his cover that touches his shoulders! The story had no potential from the very beginning. It was unrealistic and a waste of time and money. It was so far fetched that I couldn't even picture the main characters. Don't waste your money!

Review: Brenda Jackson is like fine wine she just keeps improving upon perfection. Ashton Sinclair and Netherland Brooms' trip through the power of love was done with excellent taste and Ms. Jackson's descriptions left me breathless and wanting more. I've always appreciated a man or woman (in this case a man) who knows what he wants and doesn't let anything or anyone stop him from achieving his goal. Ashton has wanted Nettie for over three years and decides he not going to wait any longer for her to realize that she is his destiny, the love of his life, his soulmate. Ashton places himself in a position where Nettie cannot ignore him or hide her feelings for him --- ignore him she cannot as Ashton is a man on mission. The man is definitely a master at seduction without having to use the technique of force, he just applies love, simply plain love and sometimes it's not so simple. Ashton just wasn't going to give up no matter what. This story had me hooked from page one and if you're looking for a novel that renews your faith in the power/magic of love, Surrender is a must read. I've followed Ms. Jackson's career from the beginning and am always awaiting her next release as she is one of those authors you can take to the bank. Don't miss out on this wonderful novel -- if you haven't read Ms. Jackson's other works of art be sure to check them out as they are definitely worth your time and your money.

Review: Colonel Ashton Sinclair is dedicated to the U.S. Marines and Netherland Brooms is a divorced restaurant owner. The two met 3 years ago but Nettie ignores her attraction to him and explains to him that she does not date military men because she needs the stability. Ashton is part Native American and had a vision about her so he knows there is no other for him. Ashton is so lovable; he loves his woman and instead of giving up on her, he shows her that he's not going anywhere until she realizes they are meant to be together. When she decides she wants just one night, he lets her know he wants forever and that together they can work everything else out. I could go on and on about this book--it's just that good. Ms. Jackson does an excellent job, as usual!

Review: "Surrender" is a great read for anyone who enjoys romance books. It is one that I will probably pick-up and read again because it was just that great. There is not a dull moment in this book so if you haven't read it, make and effort to go out and buy today.
