Summary: Skipped through most of it...
Review: I had a hard time finishing this book. There are two stories in it, both reissues from about 1995. Morgan Treyhern, his wife and son are kidnapped. The first story has to do with rescuing the wife, the second has to do with rescuing the son. However, it was hard to concentrate on the romance forming between the two characters in each book when all you can think about is the family getting rescued. Plus, horrible things are done to the wife in particular, and even by the end of the second book, the husband isn't rescued. It was just too depressing. I bought the book because there are future books coming out in the series and I thought it would give me good books to purchase in the future. Boy, was I wrong. I don't even care how the story ends because you know there will be more pain to deal with when the husband is rescued, how the trauma will affect the son that was kidnapped, etc. If I want to be depressed, I'll watch the news. This wasn't for me. Plus there are aspects to the story that just don't make sense (like the reason for not taking the baby daughter). I skipped through the first book, read the first couple of pages in the second, then read the last few pages. I'm sorry I wasted my money.

Summary: Morgan's Wife and Morgan's Son
Review: This was once again a spellbinding reissue of the original series' books. I find Lindsay McKenna generally does a fantastic job with characters and scenes. I will admit this may not be for everyone as if you are not a series reader, it may be too complicated to follow through, but in the end, with the last series drawing it together, it is well worth the reading, even if its not 'lighthearted'. In this day and age, its a good romantic book with strong characters
