Summary: Awaken, My Love
Review: Robin Schone is one of my favorites authors, and I did like this book. But I did not think enough of the book to have it sit on my keeper shelf. I liked the story, but Charles keep getting on my nerve's. Elaine was ok, but she too got to me, I think if they would have stated their true feelings for each other early in the book it my be on my keeper shelf. I read the book about two years ago, but after reading The Lover I think I may try to find a copy and reread the book, maybe I will have different feelings for it. Overall I am glad I read the book, and looking forward to rereading it.

Review: THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT. I'LL NEVER LOOK AT LEMONS THE SAME WAY AGAIN. IT'S A TERRIFIC READ.

Summary: The characters are too unbelievable for me...
Review: Although the book was well written, I could not relate to the characters. I thought the heroine, Elaine, to be weak. She let people walk all over her the entire book. She doesn't even speak the first hundred pages. She sits there and does what she is told. And there is no way I believe that Charles would have gone a year without having sex with his wife, for which he has this "great lust" for. I was very bored at parts but since I thought her writing was good, I might try another of her book; perhaps The Lady's Tutor.

Summary: Search Out-Of-Print Booksites or Auctions for this Book!
Review: This book has everything you could want under one cover. It has love, romance, adventure, time travel, paranormal and eroticism in a historical setting! Elaine is wonderful, Charles is fantastic and Morrigan is a hoot! Is it sensual? You bet! Does it push the envelope? Absolutely! If you want to read sweet romances DO NOT read this book but if you would like to experience a love story that will make you laugh, cry and involve you in the story find and buy this book... its worth it!

Summary: I DARE U 2 FIND A MORE STUNNINGLY SENSUAL NOVEL THAN THIS !
Review: I accidentally stumbled upon this classic at my nearest libray & never let go of it since then. For those unfortunate avid romance fans who haven't tasted her sensational debut, U can check out the Auctions & prepare to be impressed with how far the bidders are willing to go. That's how incredible the author is. Her blistering whew-get-me-a-handkerchief-HOT writing style is incomparable. I also devour Susan Johnson, Stephanie Laurens, Thea Devine, Bertrice Small, Iris Johansen etc (who pens their own high-degree trademark) like popcorn, but Ms Schone simply outshines 'em all. I don't care what the other reviewers say, I personally think this is a fantastic, splendid, superb, flawlessly-written romance/erotica. Morrigan / Elaine is sensitive, prideful, mysterious & raw. Charles is the perfect husband & lover to bring his sleeping beauty alive with his mediterranian-blue eyes, charms, lovemaking (the grass, the bed, the river...oops did I ruin it 4 U ?). The bottom line is, I thank my lucky stars for finding this treasure. If only I could vote for everyone, I'd put this title up there as the best book of the millenium =P :)

Summary: Not anywhere near as good as Lady's Tutor
Review: After reading The Lady's Tutor I was anxious to obtain a copy of Awaken, Robin's first novel. While the book was enjoyable, neither the plot nor the eroticism match Lady's Tutor, which is definately a 5 star effort.

However, Awaken is still well worth reading and I'm impressed with Robin's growth as a writer from book one to book two. I particularly enjoy the erotic portions of Robin's work. They are appealing without being crude or cutesy.

I hope Robin produces many, many more novels of this nature. Live long, and write!

Summary: THIS WASN'T RAUNCHY! ROBIN SCHONE IS TERRIFIC!
Review: I am thrilled to have finally found an erotic romance that isn't raunchy and crude. I am 30 years old and I have been reading romance books for about 14 years. Everytime I have attempted to experiment with a more adult read, I was turned off by the crudity and lack of substance in the characters. In my opinion author's like "SUSAN JOHNSON, THEA DIVINE, BEATRICE SMALL & VIRGINIA HENLEY" have not been able to grasp the concept of what erotic romance is. They tend to just write about alot of crude sex scenes with faithless people that are in lust with each other and nothing more. I don't like to be told that characters are falling in love, I want to be able to see it happening. I don't enjoy reading a so called romance novel in which the two main characters have no respect for one another, or where one of the character's is humiliating and degrading the other. What I really liked about Ms. Schone was that she took the time to develop her characters and their relationship with one another on all levels. I agree with the reviewer that said this is not for the faint hearted romance reader. If you are looking for a really good sensual adult book that is tastefully done, this is it. Way to go Ms. schone, keep up the good work!

P.S. If you were wondering why I didn't give this a 5 Star rating? It was because I had a little trouble with the mystery in this story, but I still strongly recommend this book!

Summary: SPINE-TINGLING LOVE SCENES ?? U GOT IT !!!
Review: THIS IS AN UTTERLY BEGUILING ROMANCE BOOK. I LIKE THIS BOOK BETTER THAN THE SECOND ONE - THE LADY'S TUTOR. THE HERO, CHARLES, WOULD MAKE ANY FEMALE WITHIN DISTANCE SWOON. READERS OUT THERE WHO HAVEN'T SET EYES ON THIS MASTERPIECE, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING HERE. FOR THE AUTHOR, I CAN'T WAIT FOR ANOTHER OF YOUR SPECTACULAR IMAGINATION TO LAND IN BOOKSHELVES.

Summary: EROTICA, ROMANCE AND MYSTERY--WHAT A COMINATION!
Review: Robin Schone writes the best erotic love scenes I've ever read in any romance book (or fem porn, for that matter)! I couldn't believe the opening to this book (I'll just say that according to surveys most people do it but few people admit it)! What a way to time-travel!

Ms. Schone sure captured my fantasy! Elaine wakes up in another century, in another woman's body, in another man's bed (wasn't there a song like that?). I sure wouldn't mind waking up seventeen years younger in a body that doesn't have to fight celulite. Especially if I woke up to a man who is skilled in Tantric love making, like Charles is. The PILLOW BOOK scene is awesome!

The action just keeps getting hotter and hotter and tenser and tenser. What happened to Elaine's real body? Where is the woman who rightfully belongs to the one Elaine was transmigrated into? Was the young woman really insane--like her crazy relatives claim--or is she as much a victim as Elaine?

The only thing more surprising than the opening to AWAKEN, MY LOVE is the ending.

I agree with the woman in South Africa, this book is a refreshing change from traditional historical romances. It is not a book for the faint of heart! I'm just sad that Ms. Schone doesn't have any other books out. I heard on a list that she has one coming out soon, though. If it's just half as original and erotic as AWAKEN, MY LOVE, I will be in readers' heaven!
