Summary: Ms. Kane strikes gold with this suspense-filled sequel
Review: A lot has happened in the three months since Breanna Colby saved the life of her beloved cousin by shooting the hand of a professional assassin, who manages to escape. Anastasia married Damon Lockewood and the pair traveled to America to open up a bank. Breanna's dad remains in jail for his efforts to kill Anastasia. However, Breanna's joy turns sour when two disfigured dolls with blood spots on them arrive with a note stating retribution is near. Bow Street cannot help her as they are busy with a double murder investigation so Breanna hires security guards.

Damon and Anastasia joyfully return to England. However, not long after their reunion with Breanna, someone murders a security guard. Not taking any chances with the lives of the two women he loves, Damon asks an old friend, Lord Royce Chadwick to uncover the identity of the culprit. As he works on this case and a missing person investigation, Royce falls in love with Breanna, an emotion he cannot afford if he is to keep her safe. Still he cannot ignore his love for the brave Breanna.

THE SILVER COIN, the sequel to the fabulous GOLD COIN, is an excellent Regency romantic intrigue that will make a beautifully matched pair on the keeper shelf. The story line is fast-paced and exciting as the assassin stalks his prey. The lead protagonists are a wonderful couple willing to do anything to insure their loved ones remain safe. The obsessed villain completes this great mix that will provide back to back bestsellers for the incomparable Andrea Kane.

Summary: Silver Coin is Great! Love Her Books
Review: A sequel worth waiting for. After the Gold Coin, I couldn't wait for Breana's Story. It was great. The first book had a hint of what Breana could be and in this one, she has blossom from a social butterfly into a courageous and strong woman who would do anything to protect those she loves. I love how she takes charge of her own love affair. Get the confusion out of the way. The problems of modern love affair is the non-communication.

Summary: Where was the editor?
Review: A silly book with a predicatable plot, a laughable so-called mystery, and historical inacuracies galore. The kind of book that give historical romance a bad name. Where was the editor for this one?

Summary: Andrea Kane disappoints again!
Review: I have read of all of A. Kane's books and after reading Gold Coin which I was thoroughly disappointed with, I picked up this one with a lot of trepidation. I loved her earlier works and feel compelled to read her new ones in the hope that they would still be fun to read. Although, in saving grace, I must say that the Silver Coin was a marginally better read than its predecessor. There was at least a tinge of mystery in the romantic relationship between Royce and Breanna (mind you, just a tinge!). Its getting quite boring to read these over sweet and saccharine heroines/heros who are oh! so much in love with each other right from the beginning to the end of this book. I wish the author would introduce some more of the suspense, tension and intrigue in the romance like she used to in the past, instead of concentrating only on some secondary suspense! I don't mind the suspense/mystery/intrigue but not at the cost of developing the romance in the right way! What fun is there to read a romance novel where the characters live happily ever after, soon after the book starts, and try to solve some mystery together for the rest of it.

Summary: Once again love triuphms over evil.
Review: I just the read the last of the "Coin Series" book. Andrea Kane once again doesn't disappoint me. After I read the romance between Anastasia and Damen, I was wondering if Breanna was going to find that same love. Royce was that hero she needed. When Breanna and her family is threaten Royce Chadwick came to the rescue not just once but twice especially to rescue Breanna from ever feeling that she would never love like her cousin. Many complained of the way Breanna's name was written but I think since Ms. Kane wrote it she is entitled to write it the way she felt wanted to be written. Also the complained about the women of that century didn't speak their mines well I'm pleased that both Anastasia and Breanna did. Many of us rather still see women hanging to their husbands in other novels then seeing women with independence. I love the way Ms. Kane writes and I agree with her that her heroines should not just have men who loves them but also independece. If you haven't read this book then go buy it or get it from your local library you wont be disappointed.

Summary: Not so great, but not too bad...
Review: I suppose one can just enjoy the book simply for its thriller element spiced with some juicy bed scenes. but, after reading this, i must admit that it wasnt that satisfactory. i really cant put my finger on where exactly it was lacking but...maybe...there needed to be more passion/emotion and a bit more focus on the romance facet, rather than on the hunt for the bad guy.

suffice to say, though, it's not really one of ms. kane's masterful novels, but it's not that terrible either. lol ",)

Summary: Silver Coin
Review: I thought that the depth of the characters and love relationship that developed was wonderful. The plot is great with action, adventure and supspense and up until the very end you are not sure who is the assasin. This book was one that I couldn't put down. I favor books that don't have stupid conflicts with the characters and felt this one was wonderful. I now wish to read every Andrea Kane novel, she is up there with my favorite Julie Garwood.

Summary: A wonderful sequel!
Review: I was so excited to finally get the chance to read The Silver Coin. After finishing The Gold Coin, I was terribly impatient to wait for it to arrive in Canada. When it finally did, I quickly snatched a copy from Chapters and took a break to read it. And boy, the wait was worth it! I truly enjoyed this novel: Ms.Kane did a wonderful job tying ends together, and the love story between Breanna and Royce was wonderful and satisfying! Ms.Kane has the ability to write mystery and romance, all packed into one novel. The suspense was intriguing and the wonderul hero Royce, was always around to protect his beloved was remarkable. Their love shines all throughout the novel, and the characters takes the reader on a journey with them.

If you've never read a novel by Ms.Kane before, you must read the Coin Series. This is her writing at her best!

Summary: KANE keeps getting better and better!!
Review: I've read everything Andrea Kane has written, and each book is better than the last. She makes you fall completely in love with the heroes and wish you were their heroines. All of her books are so well-characterized with love stories that can only be written straight from a tender and sensitive heart. The two COIN books are both exquisite. No matter which Kane book you choose to buy, you're in for a truly enchanting and dreamy read. Ms. Kane - you GO girl!!!!!
