Rating: Summary: Could not put it down! Review: This is a definite must read! Ms. Glass should keep them coming. Not only was it very well written but I also felt an empathy with the characters. What I loved the most about this book was that while it was written about an interracial relationship I did not feel as though that issue was discussed so much that it overwhelmed the story line. I sincerely urge you to fall in love with Michael and Yvonne just as I did.
Rating: Summary: a great love story Review: this is a lovely book. No Commitment Required is a well rounded book; it has love and self-conflict. Seressia Glass did a wonderful job creating a book that's is was very enjoyable. This book didn't focus so much on the race issue, that other books do. this book focuses on Yvonne's inter-conflict about lossing her twin sister and parents in a horrible car accident; and her being able to overcome feelings of guilt with the help of a loving man.
Rating: Summary: Mind Blowing!! Review: This is the very first interracial romance book that i have read and i never dreamed it would be this good. have read it over and over, and will certainly look for others. Its keeps your heart pumping form start to finish, for anyone who has never read interracial, its the very book you need to start with, not one boring moment! Great book you will not be disapointed.
Rating: Summary: Unexpected Love Review: This was an awesome book with a believable storyline. After reading other interracial book I was kind of hesitant to read the book. But curiousity had me reading non stop. I love how the author did not put a lot of focus on the couples race. Of course there were some incidents involved but that should/could be expected.Micheal was a man of your dreams. He was truly there for Yvonne and she was able to heal with his help. The relationship moved at a good pace. All of the characters were well developed. I think there should be a continuation maybe with Micheal and Yvonne's best friend.
Rating: Summary: A must read for romance fans!!! Review: This was an excellent book. The heroine tends to be a little paranoid but after understanding fully the tragedies in her life, it becomes understandable. This story went beyond race. It was a love story with two people who happen to be of different races. It made me think about real life situations and that we cannot help who we fall in love with. There is no script when we are born that identifies who we will love. This book was the perfect example of that. Also, I enjoy books were the relationship is the focus and the main characters aren't playing cat and mouse games. The author kept their relationship going even during the momentary splits. The love scenes were good and tastefully done. This book stayed with me well after I was finished. I wish I could read it again without knowing the outcome. I would highly recommend this book to avid contemporary romance readers.
Rating: Summary: The passion jumps out at you! It's a must read!! Review: This was by far one of the best interracial romances I've read. A real page turner!! Characters were well developed and clearly written. If you'd like this then you'll love JJ Murray's "Renee and Jay" As well as Sandra Kitt's "Close Encouters" and "The Color of Love". Please get a copy if this book I am going to read it again.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, Absolutely Excellent!!!! Review: This was the best love story I have ever read. The story line was excellent. It kept me reading to the wee hours of the morning. It had me laughing at one point and ready to cry the next. An absolute page turner from the begining. It shows that love can overcome any obstacle and cross all color lines. Seressia Glass is definitely a supporb writer. I would recommend this book to anyone. I'll definitely purchase more of her work.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: Very good read. I didn't put it down!
Rating: Summary: Reading this book should be Required Review: Well first of I would like to say I have been ready plenty of interracial romance novels, but in the last couple of months I have not felt compelled to right a review about any recent books I have read until NOW. No Commmitment Required was a fantastic book. At first I couldn't really get into it, I was even making fun of the characters but somewhere in between Michael professing his undying love to Yvonne and Yvonne finally opening up to Michael I started taking this book seriously. I really felt like there was a connection between the two of them. And after reading this book, I felt like I had to talk to someone about it that's when I knew I had to write this review.
Rating: Summary: Ok....ok....I dig Review: When I first started reading this book, I felt that everything was a little too formulaic. It has the successful black business woman who's Miss Independent and looks like Tyra Banks, etc. She meets the white guy in a business suit who basically says 'Hey I'm not racist my best friend is black'...etc. The first chapter honestly made me want to just write this book off as just another "interracial book." But wait! Read on. I'm telling you the book got spicy! It was hot! I had to go repent.....anyway, the way the relationship forms between the couple is spectacular. Plus Yvonne's history was so gripping, once it was uncovered, that it completely made up for the beginning of the book. I almost cried. I did cry. I'm about to cry now...where the hell is my tissue box....? Now towards the end Ms. Glass lost me. After everything Yvonne and Michael had been through she listened to that dummy "friend" of hers. I felt like both of the characters were WEAK! It's like the author is saying that black men can excercise the power to break up that kind of relationship or put it back together whenever they choose. But whatever; I'm not the judge. After that the book captured my heart again. *sigh* Overall there is a connection with this book that I cannot deny. It's a must read. Then when you're ready to move to college level go pick up The Time of Our Singing.
