Rating: Summary: I'll never look at a string of pearls in quite the same way Review: After perusing the editorial and customer reviews, along with the book cover, etc. I thought I was prepared for Thea Devine's Seductive. Way wrong. I remained confused until the hero's disguise was finally revealed, then went back and re-read the beginning, ah-so! Nicholas' feelings for Elizabeth are explained (to the reader anyway, not her) and we see that his... virility isn't his sole quality.
Rating: Summary: Erotic, but choppy romantic mystery. Review: Elizabeth Massey had deliberately married William Massey, the Earl of Shenstone, to gain entry into the rarefied circle of society where royalty moved. Now, as his widow of the Earl of Shenstone, she was about to fulfill all her dreams. There was only one problem, and his name was Nicholas Massey, the long lost son of her husband's brother, the heir apparent to the estate and all it entailed. Elizabeth was desperate to hold onto the estate and was willing to do anything to see that she kept it. To top it off, her royal prince with whom she was desperately in love, had finally returned to her, and she needed to be able to seduce him so thoroughly he would never dream of leaving her again. Nicholas Massey desperately needed to claim his home, but he had to solve the problem of the multiple murders and the lovely Elizabeth. Ms. Devine has written a highly erotic, albeit choppy, romantic mystery. This is not an easy feat to accomplish, but Ms. Devine has done an admirable job. The plots and sub-plots get a little convoluted, but the overall eroticism is a definite turn-on.
Rating: Summary: what happen to strong women Review: Here you have a young lady Elizabeth who marries an older man, and all he really wanted was a brood mare to have an heir. Then he ups and dies seven years later, and having no heir to his name. Elizabeth falls for Peter hoping he will marry her now that her husband is dead. Not so, Elizabeth's dead husbands nephew has come to claim what is rightfully his. Oh, he has come to claim one more thing, Elizabeth herself. I seem to have a problem with Nicholas. Claiming his inheritance is one thing, but telling Elizabeth that she can stay at Shenstone only if she please him anytime he wants and anywhere he wants. That was a little much. I also found Peter to be a weakling. He showed no back bone at all. It seems all he cared about was how Elizabeth could please him. Her father was the worse of them all. He cared about how much money his daughter was allowed a month instead of how his daughter was going to servive if she was asked to leave. I found SEDUCTIVE okay reading, but it lacked real emotion from any of the characters. The herione showed very little back bone toward any of the men. I like a women who has strength, courage, and be able to tell a man where to go once in a while. The hero was just a little too forceful to me. I like a man to take charge, but not to much charge.

Rating: Summary: The best erotic story I've ever read!... Review: Holy Smoke! this book is hot!!!... this book is definately NOT for those that are into sweet romantic stories, if you prefer those, then go find another book or look for the Harlequin novels, but if you're a hardcore reader and enjoy hot-explicit-in your face-mind blowing sex scenes, then this is the book to get. It also has a great plot, but it doesn't bore you with hundreds of pages of nonsense to the point you want to put the book away, you won't be able to put it away because if you do, you'll be wanting cold shower. The book is about a widow, Elizabeth (was stuck in an unhappy marriage for 7 years with no children) with a manipulating father that thinks that he's finally going to enjoy his daughter's inheritance and that Elizabeth be with the love of her life, a man that abandoned her sometime in her past. A handsome hero, related to Elizabeth's dead husband, comes along to claim 'his' inheritance and the heroine's body, in order for her to keep her share and her father's pocket with money, she gives herself to the hero (very willingly but still wants to be with the other man she loves)... she enjoys the love lessons she's getting from the hero and a magnificent pearl necklace that it's used to drive her insane with pleasure. But in between all this passion, robberies, murders and mysteries occur, and it's up to the hero to keep Elizabeth satisfied and find the thief/murderer. Great story if you prefer to read hardcore erotic novels. I highly recommend this one!
Rating: Summary: An okay read Review: I did not feel that this story came together very well. Neither character showed thier love for each other in or out of the bedroom. While there was lots of steamy sex.. the plot was not there to keep me intrested.
Rating: Summary: Sexy and Stimulating Review: I still like Sinful Secretss when it comes to SEXY scenes. The plot of this book is similar to Thea Devine's collection. The woman is estranged, and the man wants her with a twinge of suspense. Buy Sinful Secrets if you like it raw and hot.
Rating: Summary: A different kind of book for me - but still very good! Review: I usually prefer a little more of a true romantic read - even Susan Johnson and Cheryl Holt books to me are more intensely - outright romantic than Seductive. I found Thea's characters more harsh and not so easy to get a handle on. But the mystery of the plot and the way it was written - I also found I could not put this book down either. The story was very intense, the sexual tension between Nicholas and Elizabeth - and the odd mixture of secondary characters just made this an exciting story. I will probably read more of Thea's books because they are a little different and I like a good erotic read with a compelling plot!
Rating: Summary: SEDUCTIVE Review: In SEDUCTIVE, Thea Devine does the hot, steamy sexual scenes again!!! No one write better or more descriptive erotica. Elizabeth Massey, childless and recently widowed of William, Earl of Shenstone, wants to settle down on her estate, enjoy a quiet life, and possibly reconnect with her old love, Peter. Nicholas Massey, nephew of William, is the only legitimate male heir to Shenstone, and he means to have it along with the beautiful Elizabeth, at any cost, among them blackmail, if necessary. However, along with their highly charged relationship, there is too much deception and too many secrets on both sides, any combination of which could be fatal. This is a good book with several different story lines going on. It has lots of very descriptive erotica. I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Love Thea Devine in the US Review: My only peeve with Seductive, I had to wade through the suspense to get to the good parts. It says "erotic romance" so I expected more erotic action between them. Still enjoyed it, just killing me softly with suspense.
