Summary: a good, solid book
Review: This is my 4th Sandra Brown. The first three were Bittersweet Rain, 22 Indigo Place, and A Kiss to Remember. Anyway, I really like her as a writer. Something I've noticed is that she deals a lot with public opinion and gossip, and how it can be very negative or false. The plot is very good. Throughout this book, I kept thinking "I know that Lara couldn't have had an affair with Key's brother, it can't be." But Lara never denied it, so I was baffled. I kept on trying to find explanations for it, but could come up with nothing. I'm not going to say any more on that for fear of giving anything away, except when I got to an explanation, it was just "whoa... what?!"on to the characters... I liked Lara. She was very competent and composed, and wasn't clingy. She also wasn't vindictive or mean, even when people acted incredibly badly towards her, but instead of making this look like she doesn't have a backbone, somehow it just makes her look stronger. And she is strong, she seems to take everything in stride no matter what. As for Key, I liked his little jokes and innuendos. If I met him in real life though, honestly, I'd probably think he was a jerk. He comes off as being really arrogant. He turns out to be an OK guy though. I wish some more time was spent on developing their relationship. What with all the action and plot twists, I sort of missed some of the chemistry between them. However, if you like Sandra Brown, you'll like this book, and it's worth reading.

Review: THIS IS ONE OF BROWN'S BEST. I LOVED THIS BOOK FROM START TO FINISH. KEY IS A TORTURED HERO BENT ON SELF DESTRUCTION AND YOU CAN'T HELP BUT FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM IN SPITE OF HIMSELF. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. IT'S A KEEPER

Review: this is what we expect from Sandra Brown. the way she describes characters and their feelings, makes us not to put the book aside.i think i always go for her heroes from texas; casual rough looks makes me feel that i'm reading my own sandra.

Summary: It was lovely
Review: This was my first Sandra Brown novel and I really enjoyed it. It mixed supense, decite, humor, and romance all into one book. I really liked reading about Lara and Key's relationship, how it slowly merged from hate, to tolerance, to love. Bowie and Janellen's love was interesting too. A guy who had hard breaks all his life, and a rich girl without love. One of the best parts is Key takes Lara to find Ashley's body, and gets captured by Emilio, and then something very shocking happens. This book you have to read.

Review: This was my second Sandra Brown book -- and, from the first page, I could hardly put it down! A fantastic book, well written, with a great story and lots of twists along the way. Sandra Brown is a spectacular author, who puts a creative punch into every sentence of every page. I look forward to reading Mirror Image and all those other 5-star rated books she's given us. You won't be disappointed in "Where There's Smoke" - I promise!

Summary: One of Her Best even Read Today.
Review: Though the book was written almost a decade ago, you won't feel like reading an old story. The plot was full of twists and surprises as well as adventures making the book full, not lopsided to sole romance. I also like the inclusion of the story about Janellen and Bowie. It made the storyline rich and ever more pleasant. The only thing that kept me from giving the book a full mark was Lara's reason for not telling the truth about the scandal. I understand she had a lot of integrity, but the explanation was so unconvincing.

Even in Eden Pass, Jody will silence someone to keep the truth from coming out. Even if it is more than most people can bear.

Summary: Action-packed twists! Loved it!!
Review: Yet another Sandra Brown that I could put down. I found this book to be exciting and definitely full of surprising twists at any given moment. I found myself right there in the story with the characters. Definitely one that I will come back to in the future!
