Rating: Summary: FOR THE ONES WHO CAN RELATE... Review: I've been sharing this novel, along with Miss Hampton's other novels with all of my girlfriends. For the previous worthless reviewer, who seems to be in a category all by herself, please don't speak for other women. Yes,sadly, there are many of us who've had the same issues as Felica, Nokea and Scoprio in Two's Enough and if you ain't never been through nothing, trust me, don't be so fast to judge because one day you will. Miss Hampton's Two's Company is a realization of many relationships today. I emailed her and congratulated her on her novels and surprisingly received a thank you email in return. What I find distrubing about the previous reviewer is even though she enjoyed Hampton's other novels, she didn't have the decency or guts to post a positive review for the ones she enjoyed. What is the world coming to...a bunch of haters? How Sad? If I had seen a positive review for the other novels she mentioned maybe I wouldn't have responded, but maybe we didn't have time to write it? Miss Hampton, as I said in the email I sent, keep up the awesome job. You have a talent and I'm sure by the warmness I felt through your reply, you will never let anyone steer you from your many accomplishments. Sorry, I felt compelled to go there! Great book readers, and don't miss out!
Rating: Summary: THE ROAD TO THE FINAL FOUR Review: I've never had the desire to write an online review but with this author, I couldn't help myself. All novels: Two's Enough Three's A Crowd, How Can I Be Down, My Best Friend's Man, and My Way or No Way are as good as it gets. Met the author a while back and she amazed me with her enthusiasm and character. A true diva, blessed with what it takes to be successful. I purchased all four books that day, finished them in 3 days and now I'm left wanting more from her. Can't wait until the others are released and it's evident that I'm not the only one waiting. I won't say more but you have got to purchase these novels to see what a gifted writer Hampton is.
Rating: Summary: Don't Hate the Playa, and don't hate his Game! Review: Jaylin Jerome Rogers is all I need to say. His character is delightfully entertaining, Sexy with a capital S, and taking charge. What can I do to fit in his circle or world, or whatever the hell he calls it? Hate him if you want, but this author lays it on the line in Two's Enough Three's A Crowd. He only did what the women allowed him to do. Many of us have been faced with situations presented in this novel, and I'd say if you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen. Remarkable story and I immensly enjoyed. I'm waiting on book two and from reading the reviews, I'm sure it's going to leave me with my mouth wide open. My hats off to the author as she did a splended, remarkable, outstanding and phenomenal job keeping me entertained.
Rating: Summary: Two's Enough Three's A Crowd Review: Jaylin, Nokea and Felicia have an interesting relationship. They haveall learned to co-exist. Although the women aren't exactly crazy about the idea they are both holding out with hopes of beingthe "last one standing." Just as the horizons seem slightly brighter in walks contestant number 3, Scorpio Valentine, and throws a monkey wrench in the whole plan.
Jaylin is a single, non-games playing brother. He either can't or won't commit, but the women in his life deal with it. He is not about to be tied down or let some woman `lock him down', that is until he meets Scorpio. Jaylin is bound and determined to do his "thang" while Scorpio is determined to make him hers. Will they make it down the aisle? Or will someone else lay down her trump card?
Felicia is proof that you can't turn a hoodrat into a housewife. She got an itch that only Jaylin can scratch, that's why she sticks around. Very confident that she is "the one" she has no problems dealing with Nokea. When Scorpio crowds her way in, Felicia starts wondering if she should bow out gracefully. Not trying to be played, it seems that Felicia may wind up playing herself.
Nokea has always been Jaylin's friend. There are some uncertainties as to where the friendship ends and the lovers begin. She truly loves him and is willing to "hold out" no matter how long it takes. Unfortunately the emergence of Scorpio messes up her life plans. Nokea has the most to lose and the most to gain, but she doesn't realize it until too late. When making her ultimate choice she has to decide what's best for Nokea.
Scorpio Valentine is just what the doctor ordered, or at least that's what she thinks. She has totally turned Jaylin's life upside down. Between her gorgeous looks, crucial bedroom skills and adorable little girl, she has wrecked havoc on this brother's life. Unfortunately everything that looks good to you isn't good for you and she is a living testament to that. She's got some pretty big skeletons in her closet.
Brenda Hampton has totally taken this story to another level.
Between the crazy characters and hysterical situations this book is one that's gonna be hard to put down. No matter how crazy the situations seem they have a level of reality to them. The reality of the madness in this book is what made it a great read for me. Many people find themselves caught up in love triangles, but Brenda tells you how to get out of one.

Rating: Summary: A NEW EROTIC QUEEN IS ON HER WAY!! Review: Juicy, sexy, hot, down right delicious, and filled with Drama. Two's Enough Three's A Crowd is a book that every book reader should have on their bookshelf. My addiction to this novel was unbelievable. The characters were everyday, ordinary people who have the same challenges that many of us have. Jaylin, no matter how hard you try, you can't keep yourself from loving him, even though he was a true DOGG!! My mouth was wide open after reading the way he put it out there for the women in his life, but who could blame any of them for playing the fools. He was the total package in and out of the bedroom. I can't wait for the sequel. I read Hampton's other novel, How Can I Be Down, and I'm torn between which one was the best. This author is definitely going down as one of the best and I can't wait to see what else she's got up her sleeves!!
Rating: Summary: MISS HAMPTON IS ON A ROLL! Review: Just when I thought Two's Enough was excellent, she blew me away with the sequel, My Way or No Way, and left me wanting more. I'm hooked and can't stop thinking about these books. Normally, sequels don't come like this one did, and I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for the next. Readers, adding these novels to your collection is a must! You will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Drama, Drama, Drama Review: Looking for a good book to read in 2003? Two's Enough Three's A Crowd is THE one. This book was so spectacular to read that I couldn't even think of putting it down. The characters were all so real and Jaylin just took my breath away. Having his cake and eating it too, like most people would love to do, I seriously found a soft spot for him in my heart. I appreciated his honesty and he always gave women the choice of wanting to be with a man like him. As for the women, Felicia was wild, but she brought about soooo much drama that it was quite funny reading her character. Nokea, a part of me liked her but when she started making stupid mistakes I could have just ripped through the pages and snactched her out. Scorpio was definitely a charmer, but I think Jaylin saw through her from the beginning. Thank God for Mackenzie. I was so glad he found her. Their bond brought tears to my eyes. Stephon, however, was truly a cruel, jealous, and devious person. With family like him, who needs enemies? I'm hoping to see Jaylin get back at him in the sequel and I truly hope he finds the woman of his dreams. For this novel being Hampton's first self-published novel, she's an author waiting to be discovered. Never would I imagine a first time author kicking it down like she did. You are definitely on your way to becoming one of the best!!
Rating: Summary: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! Review: Okay, I admit, I was skeptical when I received an e-mail telling me how amazing this book was. And being a bargain shopper, I was truly hoping for a better deal. Aftering deciding to order it anyway, I'm so glad that I did. It was the best book I spent my money on for the entire year. I'll be honest to also say that I'm a little leary when it comes to self-published books. But this author made me feel as if I was reading a book from one of the best African American writers there are. After reading the introduction, I was hooked. I somehow managed to get wrapped up with Jaylin's arrogance, conceited, and cruel ways, and couldn't wait for the author to bring him down. Mid-way through the book, I started to understand what the author was trying to show me as the reader. Bottom line, Jaylin didn't know how to love women. And how could he love a woman like Felicia? Scorpio, I guess, she had a few good qualities, but it just goes to show you that sometimes it's not all about the sex. Nokea, was awesome. I felt her character deep inside of me as I read through the story. She might seem weak to others, but she had to be a strong woman to put up with a brotha like Jaylin for nine years. I wasn't sure if they stayed together at the end because it threw me for a loop, but I hope the sequel is relating to their wonderful life together. (WITH A LITTLE DRAMA, OF COURSE) I always know that I've read a good book when I keep thinking about it days later. The question I've asked myself is: How could any woman fall for a man like Jaylin? He's reality, and Hampton did a wonderful job showing me how easy it is to fall for someone with his credentials. Never thought it would be me. Thanks to the person who e-mailed this book information to me. If I had ignored it, I would have truly missed out!!
Rating: Summary: No Jaylin(s) for me Review: One of the male characters in this book was crazy. His name is Jaylin. Now I don't like to get into details about the books that I read because I might just ruin it. But I am going to make an exception. At first I put this book on hold for like 2 months. Now I was wrong for that because this book was really good.
Jaylin is the type of man your mother warned you about. He is handsome, great career, and definitely a lovemaker. But he has a weakness for women. He dosen't know what he wants but he makes sure he keeps a woman around. Now all the leading ladies in this novel love them some Jaylin. They are all addicted to him. But Jaylin has a problem. He wants evertyone to himself and no one can stop him. Now, I know I really didin't go into details because I don't want to ruin the storyline but GO GET THIS BOOK. You will not be disapointed. I am waiting for MY way or No way (the continuing story to Two's enough) to arrive in the mail any day now.
Rating: Summary: Wicked Review: The main character in this book is named Jaylin and boy is he wicked. I mean just straight up doggish. He sleeps with anything moving with no regard to the females' feelings, but I must admit he lets them know straight up that he is sleeping with other females too. As you read you will realize that there is a reason as to why he treats females like he does, but nevertheless while you are trying to get to that point the book keeps you on your toes.I can not wait to read Mrs. Hampton's other titles to see what's up with trifling Jaylin. Oh and Jaylin is not the only one trifling, the females in this books are too along with his cousin, I guess the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Later!!!!
