Summary: Johnny Harris, will you marry me?!
Review: I'm not kidding. This man is THE sexiest man that could ever possibly have existed. All the junk that has happened to him just makes you just want to hold him REAL tight and-- Or you could do what Rachel does, just lean over and. . . .

Johnny is seriously the best hero of any romance novel I've ever read. Rachel is ALMOST good enough for him, though in my definition no one really is.

However, there are two parts of the book that are too hard to believe. 1. Rachel believes he just couldn't have committed a murder because she used to speak to him about poetry. Come on, POETS can be capable of killing! Although her firm belief in his innocence ends up being right, you still don't see how she could have thought so unless she had had highly unprofessional feelings for him while she taught him. 2. Glenda. You have to read the story to know most of what I am talking about, but also her whole relationship with Johnny. Why would he bother with her if he had any feelings for Rachel?

Summary: Johnny Harris you are wonderfull!
Review: It makes you grip the end of your seat with suspence. The romantic story is the best you could ever read, but I do have some points to make: 1)The way Rachel believed in Johnnys innocence is unexplainable even if he was such a good boy inside, he could have committed murder, They found his semen in her body, for God's sake. 2)As for the charecters, they were realistic. Johnny was totally wonderfull (the man of every womans dream),tender, loving, and sexy.I like the contrast in her character. She's so cute in everyway, but inside lies an inner strength that's worth admiring.Glenda's character was so intriguing,it gave us all the surprise of our lives in the end.

Summary: Great! Can't put it down after starting.
Review: It's really good. Original plot. My favourite among all the novels by Linda Howard

Summary: A Sexy Older-Woman/Younger-Man Romance
Review: Johnny Harris is considered "trash" by the people of town. When he is convicted of murder, on very little evidence, most people see it as no more than could be expected out of "his kind". But Rachel Grant, who always does the proper thing, never believed in his guilt. As his ex-teacher she saw a side of Johnny that others never did.
When Johnny comes home he's belligerent and angry. He's also as hooked on Rachel as he has been for half of his life but feels she could never be happy with a guy like him. It's both heartbreaking and heartwarming to watch these two try to overcome the differences in their personalities and life styles to be together.
Granted there wasn't much murder mystery involved but it wasn't needed with the rest of this encouraging love story.

Summary: This is one of my all-time favourite books!
Review: Karen Robards does an excellent job. This book made me laugh and cry while scaring me as well. I was disappointed that it ended because I enjoyed it so much. It was a romance and suspense all rolled up into one. I loved the characters, especially the hero. Also the ending surprised me as the character I had suspected of murder was innocent.
Give it a try. What have you got to lose

Summary: Robards Is Addictive!!!!
Review: Karen Robards is a master in the art of romance writing. And this is her best book ever! My heart went out to Johnny - who, by the way, is what I think is every woman's fantasy - mine included! He's gorgeous, sexy, and great in bed. But he's also had a tough life. On the outside, Johnny seems rough and wild, but really he's caring, sweet, and beautiful and only really wants someone to love him. Rachel feels sorry for Johnny and believes in his innocence. She's strong and courageous and cares about him when no one else does. She sticks by him, no matter what it costs her. This is truly a beautiful love story. It's the best book I've ever read - and I've read many. You will not be dissapointed.

Summary: Winning combination: sexy,bad-boy hero and the good girl
Review: My copy of this book is dog-eared. I drag it once a year to re-read. This story is for any woman who ever fantasized about that vaguely dangerous, everso sexy hunk .. that couldn't possibly go for you! Karen Robards is at the top of her form in this steamy thriller. You'll be holding your breath for more than one reason.

Summary: THE SUSPENSE WILL LEAVE YOU BREATHLESS!!
Review: My mom gave me this book when I was a Freshman in college. It was one of my first romance novels to read, and I've been hooked ever since. Rachel Grant is a fair, young, teacher who believes in an ex student's innocence, though an entire town believes he's guilty. Rachel takes in Johnny Harris (only a few years her junior) as he returns form prison. Immediately they feel the chemistry between them. As the novel progresses, Johnny opens his heart and Rachel follows hers as they love each other and vow to catch a murderer.

Summary: One of the Top 10 Romance novels of all time.
Review: Robards is in top form with this incendiary novel about an older woman,a younger man and a murderer on the loose.

Johnny is absolutely dee-licious!I could eat him up with a spoon. And the way he seduces Rachel both verbally and physically left me weak-kneed in the drug store where I first saw this book. I bought it and found that yes, it was not just a chance encounter with hormones. This book has steam rolling off of it from the get-go.

Part of it may be attributed to the forbidden quality of the romance between a female teacher and a male student. The only part that seemed implausible was the placement of a freshly graduated college girl as a teacher in a high school, but that's entirely beside the point.

Buy this book and savor it.
