Summary: American Bridget Jones
Review: Calling this book an American Bridget Jones isn't quite realistic... I love Bridget Jones Diary. However, this book is funny, witty and smart- a very quick and easy read. I was almost disappointed because I finished it in three days. The main character Jackie and her friends remind me of my friends in my grad school days. And of course, it doesn't hurt that Jackie went to Penn, my alma mater. The ending is a little bit predictable as to who she ends up dating, but still worth the read for the laughs. Any 20-something female who was or is still single can identify with it.

Summary: How did this get published?
Review: I'm sorry, but this is sooooo BAD! I couldn't get past the first two chapters. The characters go on and on and don't really say anything. Overall, just very immature, and downright boring. There is no real story here, just a bunch of scenes about shallow people drinking or obsessing over every little thing. After reading the first Red Dress Ink, See Jane Date, I was looking forward to this one, but save your money. (...)This is a wannabe, that just doesn't come close unfortunately.

Summary: An entertaining, fast read
Review: Basically, this book tells the story of twenty-four-year old Jackie Norris, who just got dumped by her boyfriend Jeremy, who ran off to Thailand for a month to "find himself" and ended up fooling around with other girls. Jackie decides to take matters into her own hands - and instead of moping around, with the help of her friends Natalie (Nat) and Wendy, she takes to becoming "super dating girl". She has a series of disappointing (yet hilarious) dates, including a date with a man who touches too much and sings outloud at posh, theatre shows and a date with a man who lives with his ex-girlfriend. After Jackie's roommate, Sam, decides to ditch her boyfriend (who seems to be afraid of commitment) the two hit clubs, and try to hook up with other guys. The ending to the book was a little disappointing, though realistic too, in a way.

This book is definitely worth picking up. And after reading quite a few other disappointments in the same genre, this new chick lit as it seems, this book made me want to pick up more from Red Dress Ink. If you enjoyed "Confessions of a Shopaholic" then you'll probably like this one too - though confessions was written much better. I'd recommend this book to any other single, young women and I'm sure that many of you can relate to Jackie and her misadventures as she struggles to pick herself back up.

Summary: my favorite book ever
Review: i read this book right after i'd recently had issues with my own now ex-boyfriend, and i was shocked at how much i could relate. milkrun was probably the first chick lit book i ever read, and it has definitely been the best so far; i have continued to read all of sarah mlynowski's other books, which were also very good, but milkrun is still by far my favorite.

Summary: Great Chick Lit
Review: Milkrun is the perfect read for anyone who loves the Chick Lit genre. The main character Jackie is funny and easy to relate to, as we follow her in her life after break up. Poor Jackie dumped - via email - is in a dating dry spell, and we are along for the ride. Funny. Real. Highly Recommended. Mlynowski is an author I will deff. begin reading more of.

Summary: It can't be her first book!
Review: I happened upon Milkrun a few years back, while in the midst of a long bout of sickness. I glanced at the title, saw the cute cover, and thought "Hey. Cool. Another chick-lit book to read in between 10-hour naps."

A few days later, I was a forever Mlynowski fan.

The first few pages were a bit difficult to get into (or perhaps that was the fatigue :D), but by page ten, I was giggling, and by page eleven, I was hooked.

Milkrun speaks to us all, whether we're single, dating, married, or recently dumped. It's a story that all of us have been through to some degree, and it shows that yes, there *is* a light to the end of that tunnel! My heart went out to the heroine as she endured her various trials, I laughed aloud at the odd things that continued happening to her (I spent twenty minutes rolling around on the couch in hysterics over the stalker boy that followed them home and left them a ... gift), and I rejoiced for her at the end.

It's a beautifully written story, and I can only hope more people happen upon Sarah as I did. Milkrun is sure to please (almost) all audiences!
