Summary: I loved it!!!
Review: I had a hard time putting this one down. The story line and characters keep me coming back wanting to know what is going to happen next. Michael Baisden has a way of making you feel like you were right there watching everything that was happen from the main characters lifestyle that could hurt a future relationship to his friends which were going through relationship problems of their own. This book to me is a must read and I'm so glad that I read it myself!!

Summary: Talk about a good book!!!
Review: I had a hard time putting this one down!!! The beginning grabbed me right from the start and I was very glad that the main focus was not just on the character of Malcolm, also of those close friends and individuals who affected his life along the way. I thought the book was very well written and shows how young peoples beginning can be mold from what they see of those who raised them and Malcolm was one of those young people and went out and did what he saw his father do but took a step further and made a name for himself in the world of high price entertainment! Michael Baisden had a way of making me feel like I was seeing all of what I was reading right there in front of me....and once again I have to say I'm glad I brought the book and will pass it on to others to read!

Review: The book was well written and had just enough drama to keep me interested. Michael Baisden I kept hearing was such a wonderful writer. He definitely earns that reputation. I can not wait to start "Men Cry in the Dark" It's hard to believe he can top himself.

Review: This book is full of egocentric characters that seem to reflect the authors opinion of himself. I agree with the person below who stated that this is simply bad writing and filled with misspelled words and words used incorrectly. There are too many good books out there worthy of your time. I couldn't finish it--next.

Summary: Very Disappointing!!!
Review: There are no words to express the disappointment I felt after reading this novel. I am certainly not a English teacher, but my education does allow me to distinguish between a mediocre novel and an excellent piece of work. My initial reluctance to read this book proved to be sound!! First of all the writing style was that of an elementary level. It was not intellectually stimulating, and I definetly wasn't impressed. Secondly, words, and thoughts weren't expressed within the proper contents. Of course I would save the worst for last; the characters portrayed in the novel suffered from serious emotional and relationship dilemmas. Especially when you have well educated, and independent women taking care of grown men. Not to mention the male characters who were either gigolos, and or deadbeat dads. It was very depressing!! The writing style and subject matter says a lot about the author. I don't think I will be reading any more books by this author any time soon. Good luck with writing.

Review: I definitely enjoyed this book. The transition that the main male character goes through is defeintely full of drama and othe revelations. The only qulam I have about the book is that I would've have liked it to be a little longer. Besides that I had no problems with the book.

Review: I LOVED THE BOOK.WISHED HE WOULD HAVE HOOKED CHRIS UP WITH AERIAL BUT OH WELL.AND I AM GLAD HE WAS ABLE TO WORK OUT SOME ISSUE THAT THE MAIN CHARACTER HAD.BUT ALL IN ALL I READ THE ITEM TWICE. IT WAS HISTERICAL.I RECOMMEND THE BOOK!

Review: I'm not one to read books but when a guy friend of mine preseented me with this one i had to go ahead. This book sat on my shelf for 1 month before I finally picked it up. It was wonderful!!! I read the entire thing in one day. What a thing for someone who dislikes reading!! I can't wait to buy his other books!!

Summary: Pretty good
Review: I must admit after reading Mr. Baisden's first two books, I thought I'd never buy another book by him again. But I decided to go ahead and try another of his works. And to my surprise, I actually enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Though his characters' actions at times got on my nerves--grown people fighting and carrying on like young fools--I was always anticipating what would happen next.The author has definitely improved his writing and I look forward to his future works. I just hope that we can read about more "civilized" black folks.
