Summary: GIG-OLO, GIG, GIG-OLO
Review: Michael Baisden is back at it again. I have to be honest and say that I didn't quite like Men Cry in the Dark. I almost let the dislike for that book tarnish my view of Baisden as an author.
I am very happy to say that I truly enjoyed this book. Late at night I had a hard time putting the book down.
The book is about Malcom, a 37 year old man that is a professional gigolo. At first he loves the attention from the women and doesn't care about sleeping with rich women to pay his bills. Finally Malcom meets Ms. Right and his whole attitude and view on being a gigolo changes.
The book keeps you hungry for more because of the wild characters and the everlasting DRAMA. This is a great book to read if you like DRAMA and sexy characters.

Summary: Highly Entertaining: A Gigolo with a Heart
Review: At first glance, Malcolm Tremell appears to have it all. He is a handsome thirty-something professional that has no problem attracting women.

Malcolm is living a life that most men only dream about. For twelve years, Malcolm has been a high paid gigolo for married women. Yes, his clients are beautiful woman and he is paid well.

However, Malcolm is not happy. He can no longer deal with the stress and the lies. He can't tell his family about his secret business. His mother would disown him.

Nor can Malcolm cope his past. Years ago, his father was killed by his neighbor who found his father in the throes of passion with the neighbor's wife. This haunts Malcolm to point where he can never give himself to a woman.

Malcolm then meets Toni. She is a complex and refined woman. She is not interested in a meaningless sexual relationship. She believes in waiting. Toni is the first woman whom Malcolm has ever felt close to.

Malcolm is afraid of revealing his secret. He desperately wants to leave his business. However, Malcolm does not know how.

The Maintenance Man is a highly entertaining book. I would highly recommend this book.

Summary: Sprinkled with Racism
Review: This book is a page-turner no doubt. It's characters two-dimensional and it's story as predictable as they come - but who would expect more from a book with a sex-ed up cover, selling in an airport sundry store (which is where it caught my attention)? The bottom line is this book is sprinkled with race-hatred. A line in particular (between the main character and a minor female character) states something to the effect of

"don't forget where you came from if you do make business contacts out there ..."
"Oh I won't - I never mix cream with my coffee".

This kind of hate is throughout the book ... any character that remotely "talks straight" is portrayed as an uncle Tom ...who laughs at the poor, while all the characters the reader is supposed to "root" for are hedonistic, shallow and rude to anyone who doesn't have some semblence of status.

We all pick up books from time to time simply to amuse ourselves when in the mood for a "... novel" ... but it's an entire other thing when one finds hatred and intolerence in it's place.

Summary: Great Reading
Review: I enjoyed this book throughly and I would recommend it to anyone. The characters were in this book were very interesting and there were some characters at times you hated and then at other times felt a great about of sympathy for such as Malcolm, Cynthia, Ariel and Simon. However, I will give nothing a way all I can say is read the book for yourself.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: Maintenance Man was a pretty good book. I enjoyed how it kept me interested. It's just that theres too many coincidences going on in this book. But besides that I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Men Cry in the Dark because the book showed that it didn't have to have a typical happy ending. But I'll recommand this book to anyone.

Summary: Strictly Made For Entertainment
Review: This book had twists and turns from beginning to end. It has typical characters within this novel in which I come across everyday in life, but it was nice to know that it is not only me who comes across these type of people. It also depicts how some women put it up with a no good man and will settle for second best. Hopefully this book will open up some womens eyes and see how low down men as well as women can be.

Summary: All that!
Review: This book was a quick read and it kept you mesmorized from beginning to end. I enjoyed every thing about it and will definitely be looking out for any books by Michael Baisden. I was totally impressed with the skills he possesed. I loved the characters and the storys behind them. This is a great book and I recommend all the brothers who are not taking care of their women to definitely check this out.
