Summary: Great Book by Michael Baisden
Review: This was my first book by Michael Baisden and I finished it in two days. This book let me look at love from a man's perpective. the two best friends were like day and night. Malcolm was a professional escort who thought he could never fall in love and Simon was a club-owner who put too must trust in the woman he loved and was ultimately betrayed. This book made me believe that not ALL men are dogs, they just need the right kind of woman to make them question their ego. This is a must read!

Summary: Admittedly a Great Book!
Review: It took years for someone to convince me to read this book. Finally I ran out of other things to read and I picked it up. I have to admit that I'm sorry I waited so long. It was very entertaining. Malcom worked my last nerve being so arrogant. However, when a book can make you feel something the author is doing their job! Good job Mr. Baisden! I'm starting Men Cry in the Dark today!

Summary: The Maintenance Man at Work
Review: This book was pretty good. Malcolm was suave, cool and relaxed, which was something I really liked about his character. His job was just a job, but nobody becomes a maintenance man for no reason. The women in this book were very diverse. You had the loud mouth, the spoiled, the beautiful and the broke. So if you like a little nighttime drama this is the book for you. I will definitely read more books by Michael Baisden.

Summary: Recycled Gossip
Review: I did not like this book. The only positive thing I can say abou "The Maintenance Man" is that it is a quick read, I read it in 3 1/2 hours. The story felt like receyled gossip. I got the feeling that the drama in the book came from incidents that Mr. Baisden had heard second hand. The charcters were flat and un-developed. I would have like to have learned more about Antoinette besides the fact that she was a dancer. And the most unrealistic character of all was "Lawrence". I think Martin Lawrence does a joke in his movie "You So Crazy" about a crazy boyfriend that goes to the club in his pajamas to get his girlfriend. Martin's joke was funnier and more believeable. I hate to say this but I don't think I'll read anymore books by Michael Baisden. He just doesn't have the same gift for writing like Eric Jerome Dickey, and E. Lynn Harris.

Summary: Ooooh baby....:)
Review: This book is off the wall and funny, and charming, and even sexy. I found myself finishing this book in a day just to read what would happen next. I was ready...I had my comforter on me, laying on the bed, and even at work while I was watching the kids...I read. The literary language of this book is audacious and bold, and that sets it apart from most novels. Although when I read the passion and intelect that was poised in this novel I know that there are still some good men out there.

Malcolm Tremell a gigalo, a player, and a fine brotha has been a gigalo for 12 years and when faced with the choice to hang up his boots and fall in love or enjoy the bebefits of beautiful women, beautiful sex, and lots of money. I enjoyed this book very much, and I think that it is a true and honest picture into a mans mind...Love does conquer all I guess. :)

Summary: Keep Up!
Review: As a maintenance man, you can't just clean up - you must keep up!

This is an entertaining novel. Once again, Baisden reveals the secrets of his brothers that women have known about and tolerated for years, for various reasons. The maintenance man is available for house calls, house warmings, and a myriad of house parties.

The unexpected happens... Malcolm falls in love with a beautiful woman who is neither client or victim. When he has trouble keeping up, this man eventually cries in the dark too.

Summary: Boring
Review: I didn't like this book because I could have cared less about the main character. No not because he was some high priced [person] and he was getting paid to sling that ... I felt his character was incomplete and the developing love story with him was too trite and compact. I was more interested in what happened to the secondary characters and even that left something to be desired. One character is being stalked and he breaks the club window and then NOTHING else is said about him. Most people know that he had to go to court but he had money so I can guess he was out on bail and even if not how much time do you get for vandalism? So how come no more from this whack job? Also another character's girl cheats on him, love the way he got back at her, then all forgiven and the get married? And she pregnant with, whose baby was it? Very doubtful it was his. That's love and forgiveness? Maybe I'm cold hearted and evil but that would be a tough pill for me to see and I do me SEE my love cheating on me and get over it in a matter of weeks/months. All and All I wouldn't suggest you buy this book. Go to the library and check it out but don't buy it.

Summary: When A Player Get's Played...I love it!
Review: Mr. Bad Boy Baisden is back again...telling it like it is. The Maintenance Man is an interesting tale of how a "player gets played." Definitely, an interesting and entertaining perspective - from a man's point of view. Enjoyable and a quick read!
