Summary: The Dreamer
Review: A good book to turn you on if you like explicit sex, repetition,
and very little plot. I class it with Harlequin Romances, and I am sorry I bought the two others. Books where the men are Gods and the women Godesses, with a story where one hates the other then falls madly in love, are bo-o-o-o-ring.

Summary: start of a great romance series that will haunt the reader
Review: In 1535, the three sisters flee Yorkshire, England when they learn their father is dead and accused of being a traitor. The oldest sibling Catherine Percy flees to Scotland where she meets the traveling Ellen Crawford, fiancee of Lord Athol, John Stewart. At an inn, Ellen gets Catherine to switch rooms. John enters the room expecting Ellen but finds himself compromised with Catherine.To save her reputation, John insists they immediately marry. He does not wait for her reply, but instead sends for a priest. After they are wed, he becomes frustrated with his spouse when she insists on opening a school, which leads to a feud with his own brother Adam. Still, the duo begins to fall in love, but she fears letting herself fully fall in love with him because she worries about her two sisters and the English King's men. The first entry in the Highland Treasury series, THE DREAMER, is a gem of a historical romance that will elate fans of Scottish tales. The story line is fast-paced, filled with action, and contains a bit of a mystery involving a treasure. Readers will find John and Catherine enchanting, especially the hero who appeared in a previous novel. The return of other characters adds a sense of depth and homecoming even as the audience will want to read the tales of Laura, Adrianne, and more about the treasure as well as other works by marvelous May McGoldrick. Review: In spite of her initial objection to a forced marriage, Catherine Percy fell deeply in love with her husband, John Stewart, the Earl of Athol and he with her. Not only is their journey of discovery of love such a pleasure to read but husband and wife were so attuned to each other in times of danger, you'll feel like cheering them on when you read. Besides, John Stewart was unaware that he had an illegitimate brother, Adam, who was plaguing him because Adam thought John was the man responsible for sending him to prison years ago. Instead of seeking revenge, John warmly accepted his brother and the bond that came to be forged between the two brothers was so touching, it brought a lump to my throat. The first book of the Highland Treasure Trilogy also contains the mischievous "leading the villains on a wild goose chase" by the Percy sisters. "The Dreamer" is highly recommended and a "must-read" for those who have only read "The Enchantress" and "The Firebrand" because "The Dreamer" is undoubtedly the Best Of The Three!

Review: This is the first book I've read by May McGoldrick and I'm happy I bought the rest of the series to find how this all turns out. Actually this book ties in with a book called "Flame" so I'm going to go back and read theat one first. The hero in this story appears in it and so it may give me more insight to his character. This is the story of the oldest of three sisters, Catherine Percy. She is fleeing for her life to Scotland the homeland of her mother after her father is killed as a traitor to England. She and her sisters separate to protect themselves and a treasure which they and their mother know its where abouts. She is going to open a school with several brothers. She is also going to be protected by John Stewart, Lord Athol. John has just found out some very disturbing news about his fathers past and has just reluctantly agreed to finally marry. His intended bride meets up with Catherine on the way. When they reach the keep the bride to be cons Catherine into switching rooms with her. Catherine does and soon is awakened by John making love to her. She is shocked and so is he but he decides to marry Catherine instead. She resists but eventually gives in. Soon passion consumes them both and they realize that they love each other very much. In order for them to find bliss however they both must overcome enemies and stay ever villigant. This is a fast paced book that can be easily read in one afternoon. I enjoyed the secondary characters and look forward to reading about the other sisters.

Summary: Wonderful new Trilogy from the Word Masters
Review: This new offering from the McGoldricks is sure to become a favorite in the sub genre of historical romances. All of their books showcase their unique ability to use the written word so effortlessly, with "less is more" being their motto. The history is well researched and accurate however they never let the history become the story. With this new offering readers are treated to a unique set of women who have fallen on hard times who will find their spiritual other half in the Highlands of Scotland. This first story was made even more special when the hero who was first introduced in FLAME returns for a love of his own. And Catherine is a wonderfully rich heroine (sure to give this highlander a run for his heart) the kind the McGoldricks are famous for. Yet, even when this special couple have finally succumbed to their passionate fate,they now must find out what is going on in the Glen- we are talking a full-bodied read with a few surprises for the faithful fans of their past books . What makes this and all the McGoldrick books special is the reoccurance of past characters interwoven with the new books. But unlike some spinoff books each of these books are able to stand alone. IF you like books set in Scotland with intelligent heroines and heroes who in their boldness are gentle then this first book in their trilogy is a must read. But save room on your keeper shelf for the next two due out later this year.

Review: We're BACK! To the many, many readers who sent us e-mail and letters asking when the next book will be out-thank you, thank you, thank you. And thank you, as well, to all of you who-after reading FLAME-told us we should write John Stewart's story. Well, here it is. THE DREAMER, the first of three medieval romances set in Scotland and all to be released this year! Our publisher is enthusiastically calling it our Highland Treasure Trilogy... Three sisters-on the run from the England of Henry VIII-escape to the Highlands of Scotland, only to find...Hold on! We don't want to give away the stories... ;-) Just stay tuned. The second book, THE ENCHANTRESS, will be an August 2000 release, and the third, THE FIREBRAND, will be released November 2000. Now, on a different topic... And how do you write together?
