Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Fun-filled, laugh out loud fun, with a painfully dull ending Review: I enjoyed this book immensely. BUT, the ending was horrible. Why Valerie, why did you end it like that? The story flows through the life of the "accidental virgin". Or soon to be, if she doesn't step on it. A fun-filled book that really lets you laugh out loud at the humorous, and somewhat torturous life of Stacy Temple. I think I was just expecting a bit more from this somewhat formulaic story. The characters are all there, and the story definitely unfolds in a very unique tale, but it seems we never really step free from the cliche ridden path. I loved it, but I hated it all the same.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I can see it now Review: I got this book because I read on Page Six of the New York Post that Heather Graham bought the movie rights. I am a huge H.G. fan, and had to read The Accidental Virgin right away to see what she has gotten herself into. I'm relieved to report that she has made an excellent choice, confirming my believe that she is not only gorgeous, but smart, too. The book: deeply amusing. Laugh-out-loud, actually. Sexy, but in a funny way, not purple-prosey like romance novels. Love the New York details, and the description of working for a dot.com startup. The pages nearly turned themselves. It'll be an excellent movie, lots of great cameo casting opportunities. The main character goes on a dozen dates with weirdos; Brad Pitt as the best friend? George Clooney as the Russian doctor? Tom Cruise as the dot.com millionaire? (As if.) I can almost see it.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: raunchy, unsatisfying story, inconsistent heroine Review: I had hoped for more of a fun read, but I got attempt after attempt at aborted quickies. The heroine, apparently gorgeous and once very promiscuous, apparently has accidentally not had sex for nearly a year. Psychological reasons for this are implied, but dropped and not explored. She just magically has everything come together in the end, learning zilch about herself or anything else. The office politics at thongs.com were mildly entertaining, and most everyone will relate to the employment situation during the .com boom (before the bust). Stacy is an inconsistent morass of confident & doormat, promiscuous & chaste, kind & "user". Here's yet another heroine to not relate to, a story that goes nowhere for a long time before the quick wrap-up, and supporting characters who are far more interesting than the heroine.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: High hope squashed Review: I had really high hopes for this book but after reading it through, it wasn't as funny or hilarious as it claims to be. Some of the one-liner or sacastic remarks were predictable and the plots were unsatisfying. Better to skip this book if you're looking for a single chick revelations, otherwise, just another book to pass time while on the train.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Oh so disappointing.... Review: I thought this book sounded like a great one, but I was so disappointed! I was so amused about the one year dry spell, but when a lesbian experience comes along, I was pushed over the edge. It was very over-the-top unbelievable and a tough book to finish. I am a huge fan a chic-lit and love the realistic chase of the "right man", but this one just didn't do it for me.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Um, thanks stacemay for divulging the end of the book! Review: I was looking forward to reading this book - that is until a fellow reader revealed the end! :-(
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: um, no! Review: I was very excited to read this book. I kept waiting for it to get better and it never did. It was far fetched and parts were just plain stupid. I wanted something that I could believe, not some crazy story of a girl looking for sex. I read it on a plane with nothing else to do, so at least I didn't lose any of my time that I could have been reading something good.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Awesome Review: I'm not an openly sexual person but this book gives some gorey details without seeming too distasteful. Yes, it is a little tacky but that adds to the humor of it all. The main character goes through this huge ordeal that is ultimately tacky and finds herself in an all too trivial situation. If you want to laugh then read this book.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Interesting ¿ Fun ¿ Quick Read Review: If you are looking for a fun quick read this book is for you. The characters are interesting enough that you will keep flipping pages and it is written such that in a couple of hours you can finish it. The Accidental Virgin is exactly what the title implies. The story of Stacey Temple a designer for thongs.com who has found herself in the predicament of going almost 1 year without having sex. The story that ensues is her desperate attempt to find any person in New York who will have sex with her. This turns out to be a much harder task than originally thought. I laughed out-loud at a lot of the "encounters" Stacey has. You will love this tail of sex ... not love!
