Rating: Summary: Jade Lawless is going to go far!!! Review: Jade Lawless is the best author I've read in a long time. While the other stories were ok, Jade's was soooo steamy, so erotic, so well put together. Her hero, Gray, is to die for. I didn't want her story to end, and I hope there might be a sequel in the works, or maybe he has a brother who's a lot like him. Maybe hook the brother up with Kelly??? It's a great read, and anyone who appreciates a good romance, spiced up with lots of steamy love scenes with some paranormal elements thrown in, will absolutely love this story!!!
Rating: Summary: More Please!!! Review: Love the Red Sage people. Thanks for bringing porn to the women of the world. We owe you a big debt of gratitude for putting really hot reads in packaging that is not embarrassing. You see, we really do judge a book by its cover!! I have seen similiar type books that might have been really great (Black Lace) that I would not be caught dead with or buy for my library because the covers are so hideous. These books would shock a lot of my patrons if they only knew.My biggest gripe with the entire series has been that the quality is not always even. Some stories are really really great; and other stories were not well written at all. The books have turned me on to Angela Knight, MaryJanice Davidson and several other writers I would not have otherwise have read. I also noted that there was at least one story by what was reported to be a famous writer under a pen name. Wow, talk about stigmas. Romance in general seems to have a stigma; and I guess really hot spanking romance has a huge stigma. Take "Book" magazine for instance. This month features Nora Roberts on the cover. So I think, finally a romance writer in a serious literary magazine. I mean, she has only been on the best sellers list 5,000 times. But no, the whole article was basically just poking fingers at romance with Nora defending why it was okay. argh
Rating: Summary: Four Exceptionally Erotic Tales Review: SECRETS just keeps getting better and better and hotter and hotter! I honestly couldn't choose which story I liked best in Volume 7 . . . Angela Knight's vampires or Julia Welles' sea-crossed lovers or Kathryn Anne Dubois' dark duke or Jade Lawless's soulmates. All stories were exceptionally erotic and very well written, which made SECRETS Volume 7 a scrumptious read!
Rating: Summary: Another winner from Red Sage! Review: Secrets, Volume 7 was fantastic. All four novellas have great characters in wonderful, sexy stories. All I can say, is "more, please more!"
Rating: Summary: EXPLORE MORE SECRETS, reviewed by Ballston Book House Review Review: Take a walk on the wild side of extreme sensuality with the latest edition of Secrets, romantic erotica at its best published by Red Sage Publishing, Inc. Secrets, Volume 6, is a collection of four erotic and deeply sensual novellas, written for women by women without the brashness typical to the genre. Keeping in mind that these stories are purposely written with a hero that is domineering, dominating, and delectable, they are reminiscent of the "bodice rippers" written 35 years ago but with the added heat of intense sexual description. Add to the mix a strong heroine that will not be pushed around unless she wants to and you have a sensual adventure just waiting to happen. While every story is not every woman's fantasy, they are all tastefully written, entertaining and often quite witty. FLINT'S FUSE by Sandra Fraser is a contemporary tale set in the hot, dry dessert. Dana Madison is kidnapped at the request of her father for her own good as he fears corporate retaliation. Flint, with his mercenary/ renegade persona is the man for the job. Things heat up to a fevered pitch as Flint struggles to keep her captive while keeping his hands to himself. If you like modern day Werewolves that are gorgeous, intelligent and have a good sense of humor,LOVE'S PRISONER by MaryJanice Davidson is sure to please. This story offers snappy dialog, dark sexuality and captivating romance. It is a definite page-turner to say the least. Next, enjoy the historical setting of "THE EDUCATION of MISS FELICITY WELLS" by Alice Gains. At Felicity's request, luscious interludes with the dashing Doctor Slade are meant to prepare her to be a perfect wife...to someone else. Who would have guessed that the innocent Miss Wells would be doing some educating of her own? And last, when you put together a very sensual vampire that is an elite career FBI agent and a small town journalist with big town dreams and you get the steamy thriller "A CANDIDATE FOR A KISS" by Angela Knight. Angela mixes her strong, well-developed characters with strong, well-developed appetites in this story that will leave you wanting the story to go on forever. The "Secrets" Collections have earned a reputation for recruiting writers who produce high quality romance with attention to detail. True to form, this most recent volume offers startling scenarios and wild passion mixed with heartwarming romance. If you're daring enough, take some time to enjoy these erotic romantic adventures when you're in the mood for something more. Secrets, Volume 6, will most definitely take your breath away! Ballston Book House Review
Rating: Summary: HOT AS EVER Review: The ladies of Secrets 7 did not disappoint! Stories were wickedly hot. I am sorry that these sexy reads are only available once a year, but like a fine wine it was well worth the wait! My all time favorite author is Angela Knight, and her previous stories & list stories further acknowledge why she is "Our Alpha SP." Her hero's will keep you worked up into such a heated frenzy, that a cold shower won't be able to cure! Highly recommend it! This is another for my keeper shelf.
Rating: Summary: Secrets scores again Review: There is only one problem with the Red Sage anthologies, "Secrets"...they put them out so rarely!! Do wish they would speed up their pace! This one again has a sizzling story from Angela Knight. I would buy "Secrets" just for her alone. But she is joined with a super tales by Jule Lawless, Julia Wells and Kathryn Anne Dubois. Angela Knight, again ventures into the vampire sagas, with the great tale of Sean Logan MacLean. He is a navy seal who is tracking down the vampire who murdered his wife. Virginia Hart is a sexy vampire who finds herself in the cross-hairs of Sean's crossbow! He knows she is connected to his wife's death, so is determined to kill her. It's up to Virginia to convince him all vampires are not alike. Together, they find they have a common purpose - to kill the same vampire responsible for destroying their loves - and love gives them to extra power of the Avengers. Super writing! Jude Lawless gives us a very intriguing tale of Gay Avonaco. He has just moved in next door to Joanna Morgan. With his coming, Joanna begins to have very provocative dreams. She thinks it's just lust for her sexy neighbour; it's up to him to convince her she is the woman of his dreams, too. Julia Wells gives us a tale of Captain Quentin Hawke...he won the right to take Amelia's innocence. Amelia had no idea her father bet her innocence in a card game - and lost! Honour demands she fulfill her fathers bet, but she wants a compromise. Three days of games...is it a bet that Hawke can walk away from? Kathryn Anne Dubois delivers us "Surrender". Free-spirit Johanna want no part of rules society presses upon women, especially as she faces marriage to the powerful Duke of Chandlemare. Only the Duke does not want to typical wife, so he is going to teach Johanna a thing or two about a good wife being so bad!
Rating: Summary: A great anthology! Review: This book has four stories: 1) Amelia's Innocence by Julia Welles. Amelia's virginity is wagered to a sea captain by her drunken, abusive father. Luckily Quentin, the captain, is young and handsome and takes her away with him and then the games begin. This was a very good story. 2)The Woman of His Dreams by Jade Lawless. This story involves reincarnation and love through time. 3) Surrender by Kathryn Anne Dubois. Lady Johanna is a widow who doesn't want to be trapped in another marriage. She sets out to fulfill her needs and ends up falling in love. This story has great love scenes. 4) Kissing the Hunter by Angela Knight. Logan McLean want revenge on vampires because one killed his wife. He ends up hunting Virginia who isn't one of the blood thirsty vamps. This is my favorite of the four stories. It's very sensual and hot, hot, hot! Read this book! You will love it!
Rating: Summary: Another Winner! Review: This book is HOT! Red Sage has another winner on it's hands. All of the stories are pure entertainment and so very steamy. Great read for and evening of candles, wine and a bubble bath.
Rating: Summary: Overrated Review: This book was okay, but Secrets VI was way better, mostly because of Loves Prisoner by Mary Davidson. The plots for VII were okay, and the sex scenes were great, but after the hype (especially about Knight) I was expecting to be blown away, and it just didn't happen. I'm looking forward to Secrets VIII because rumer has it Davidson has another werewolf story in that one. Why she didn't get in on VII I don't know.
