Rating: Summary: Satisfied me. Review: Again Ms. Foster has captured my interest in the very first paragraph and kept it until the last sentence of the story. Rating: Summary: CAPTIVATED AND FASCINATED ALL THRU' THE NITE Review: ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT breaks into the contemporary romance arena with a new ensemble after CAPTIVATED and FASCINATED triumphed as sizzling historical romance anthologies. The new players are seasoned writers - with popular names like Lori Foster, Suzanne Foster and queen of erotic romance Thea Devine leading the pack as well as sprouting talent Shannon McKenna. It is primed to repeat its success as its predecessor. Yet the consistency of the stories is not as fortified as in Captivated and Fascinated. Suzanne Foster surprisingly after a slew of misfires in her contemporary romances returns exaltedly to the top of the game with STRANGER IN HER BED. Her protagonist, Kerry Houston is a recluse and a game tester for Genesis Software company - and when the virtual hero Jean manifests himself in reality - she is drawn irresistibly to him. The spark of fantasy, romance and mystery in this original work holds a certain enchantment. Kerry's vulnerability and how Jean helped her to overcome her social phobia and opened her heart to a greater territory of love are narrated with Ms. Foster's focused writing. It is sensual and fuelled with escapism - yet miracles can happen when love conquers all. Thea Devine, despite her established throne as the queen of romance, seems atrophied with her story "No Mercy". It is a tried and used formula of ex-husband Bobby returning to stake his claim on his wife, Regan. The sex is graphic. The urgency of Bobby to claim his wife with sex seemed unappealing and even to the point of dangerous obsession. No points for the originality of the story either. Lori Foster and Shannon McKenna fortunately rescues the anthology to inject a dose of humour and poignancy respectively. Ms. Foster's Satisfy Me is an intriguing tale of how a sex shop opening in the conservative Cuthers can unite Asia Michaels and Cameron O'Reilly together indirectly. A desultory conversation on fantasies and even spanking lead to a misunderstanding from Asia's admirer, Cameron - who thought she was into kinky sex. How wrong they were when passion and chemistry paved way. Shannon McKenna's Something Wild is perhaps the strongest story. Truly a fine gem of charged eroticity weaved with poignancy. Annie Simon leads a wandering life after her failed marriage to Philips and when Jacob Kerr knocks her over with his gorgeous bod and charisma, she is afraid to risk her heart again. She questions the fine line between fantasies and reality. Their passion appeals to the reader's senses and is smoldering and sexy. It is a story that sweeps reader into a maelstrom of reckless desire and questioning sanity simultaneously. ALL THROUGH The NIGHT brings a new dimension to eroticity and romance with the contemporary scene. Sex toys, virtual cybersex are introduced, yet the theme of love and romance still etches deep within the stories. Not as unforgettable and nuanced as CAPTIVATED, but just as enchanting. It remains undiminished as an erotic anthology to open a brave, new world for romance.
Rating: Summary: Mixed bag - 2 are great Review: Anthologies are always tricky because you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes it's a great find: many times you buy it for one author and discover someone new. This anthology is almost like two-in-one, because two of the stories (Foster/McKenna) are very hot, with extremely erotic and spicy themes, while the other stories feel like they belong in another type of anthology altogether because they're bland. Thea Devine (one of the queens of erotic romance) is extremely and surprisingly toned down in her effort, which I thought was weak compared to other novellas by her. The Suzanne Forster story did absolutely nothing for me, and I don't think it belonged in an erotic anthology - a sensual one, maybe. I thought it was choppy, hard to follow, and kind of creepy. I've found Lori Foster to be hit-or-miss as a category author, but this story is well-done, and very sexy, with some believable and unexpected twists. I loved the hero in particular. Shannon McKenna is a new writer of erotic romance and good for her, because her story was my favorite of the four! It was very sexy, edgy and different. The hero and heroine seemed like a good match and their love scenes were... wow. If you like good erotic romance, then buy this for the McKenna story and enjoy the Foster novella as a bonus. If you're trying erotic romance for the first time, try the Captivated or Fascinated anthologies first because they're more complete and better overall.
Rating: Summary: Thrilling & Satisfying Review: As a long-time romance reader, I highly enjoyed this entire book. While all the stories were well-done, I was most enthralled with Lori Foster's "Satisfy Me" and Shannon Mckenna's "Something Wild." Ms. Foster continues to delight the reader with humor and sensuality, treating what still remains somewhat forbidden (sexual fetishes) with realistic emotions and reactions from her characters. I read Ms. Foster's work while dining at a restaurant and drew the curious stares of fellow patrons when I laughed out loud. The hero completely endeared himself to me in his efforts to provide the heroine with what she wants, and the chemistry between the two is memorable and exciting. I waited for months for this novella and was not disappointed. In fact, I eagerly hope Ms. Foster plans on giving the heroine's two friends their own equally delightful and sensual stories! With "Satisfy Me," Ms. Foster has delivered yet another story I will read again and again when in need of a "pick-me-up". Ms. McKenna's story proved to be a totally tantalizing surprise, as I was not familiar with her previous work (but will definitely seek out her other titles now!). The fantasy of engaging in a wild, sexy liason with a total stranger while road-tripping made for an enthralling read, totally consuming my imagination and attention. (I read this one at my desk when I should have been working! I couldn't put it down!) Ms. McKenna created a compelling duo in the hero and heroine, and...well I can't say much more without giving story details away. I was very impressed with Ms. McKenna's work, and I will definitely buy her next title.
Rating: Summary: wow!!!! Shannon McKenna & Lori Foster Review: First let me say that I purchase anything written by Lori Foster as soon as it is released. I enjoy her books. In purchasing this book, I have found another author who's story hooked me. Let me reveiw the book in the order the stories are written. 1.Stranger in her Bed by Suzanne Forster - Then story was kinda confusing with a computer sex vidio game and several different names used by the hero. 2.No Mercy by Thea Devine - This story is about a couple that meet again after being divorced for 7 years. 3.Satisfy Me by Lori Foster - When a sex shop open up across the road from where they work, Asia and Cameron meet and the fun starts. This book will have you laughing aloud with the little "misunderstanding" between the couple. 4. Something Wild by Shannon McKenna - A cute flirtation between a woman driving across county and a motorcycle hunk who follows her. I think this was my favorite. I have to say that the first 2 stories were ok, the last 2 were really great. I have added a new name to my "list of authors I look for whenever I shop" and its Shannon McKenna. All I can say is WOW!!!
Rating: Summary: Hats down to Lori Foster! Review: I could always count on Lori Foster to satisfy my cravings for erotic romance. Satisfy Me, the first part of a trilogy, is one of the hottest novellas she's ever written! Asia and Cameron spice up the pages until its final chapter. I look forward to reading more of Foster's work. As for the stories in this trilogy -- Stranger in the Bed by Suzanne Forster, No Mercy by Thea Devine, and Something Wild by Shannon McKenna -- are quite weak and slow-paced. Their stories belonged in a traditional romance anthology. I recommend that you read Lori Foster's Satisfy Me. I also recommend that you pick up I Love Bad Boys and I Brake for Bad Boys if you want to read the other two parts of the trilogy. Foster's work is divine and I consider her to be one of the most memorable erotic romance writers of this era.

Rating: Summary: Very good anthology Review: I really enjoyed this anthology. Shannon McKenna's story is her first and I look forward to reading her next. Suzanne Forster's story was well done. My favorite story was Lori Foster. Somehow she is able to write both long books and shorter stories for anthologies without losing her wonderful voice. Thea Devine's story is not for the gentle reader.
