Summary: Another one you just CANNOT put down!
Review: I started to read this 2 days after I finished "One Wore Blue" and finished it 3 days later! Heather Graham, you are an extremely talented writer! Daniel Cameron was introduced in the first book and the reader became mildly interested. In this book, his relationship with Callie is every bit as intense and passionate as the relationship between Jesse and Kiernan. The combination of a beautiful love story and the historical accounts of the Civil War make this one of my favorite books ever. I borrowed this copy from a friend, but will buy a copy for myself so I can read it again and again!

Summary: It just keeps getting better!
Review: If you thought that the lives of Jesse Cameron and his blonde beauty were intense, just read about the heated love affair between Daniel Cameron and the red haired vixen Callie. North and South battle it out again in this wonderful sequil to One Wore Blue. Again the story telling is awesome.

Summary: You want to take Daniel Cameron home and keep him!
Review: In the second entry in Miss Graham's Civil War trilogy, Daniel Cameron comes to life like no other of Miss Graham's characters. Daniel is warm and giving, but with the ruggedness and devotion to duty only a true southern gentleman could have. Callie is the perfect foile for Daniel. Together they give us an interesting view of life behind enemy lines. This book too stands on it's own and does not need to be read as part of the triligy, but, I'd highly recommend reading all three in their proper order.

Summary: It is the best of the trilogy of "One Wore/One Rode" series.
Review: In this series, Ms. Graham begins in the middle of the story. The attraction between Callie and Daniel is very strong and believable, as is the plot. Callie needs help on her farm and Daniel is able to work for her. It gets complicated because she lives near the Mason Dixon line, she is pro Union. Unfortunately for their relationship, Daniel is a Confederate officer incognito. As I stated before, the relationship is very real with pit falls and many surprises. I normally don't like Civil War romances because there is too much arguing on the point of view (who's side is right). This was I felt the problem with the first novel, One Wore Blue. In One Wore Grey, the historical accuracy was good. The people of the times were well protrayed and we were able to see growth in Callie, although she was pro-Union, she became compassionate when meeting Jefferson Davis and his family. One Wore Grey is a wonderful story of compromises and true romance. I enjoyed it! Gig

Summary: A wonderful, though provoking tale of a families love!
Review: More than anything else in this Civil War trilogy, you come away Satisfied. It is a wonderful Romance. You not only fall in love with Daniel and Callie, but you respect and admire the Cameron family and their love and devotion for each other. You know that the brothers Daniel and Jesse would do anything ...even die for the other. I could see in my minds eye everything that they went through. My heart broke, then rejoiced, I was mad, then elated! Ms. Graham has given us a book that is a pleasure to read. I looked forward to the romance, and the battles. What wonderful heros and heroines.

Summary: I agree- it does keep getting better!
Review: One Wore Blue starts with the beginning of the Civil War and is the Cameron family's view point of the war- it is especially concerned with the brother (Jesse Cameron) who feels that he must fight on the Union side of the war. (A great book!) And One Wore Gray is the 2nd story of Graham's Civil War trilogy about the Cameron Family- the reader now gets a glimpse of the war fought from the Confederate side. Daniel Cameron, brother to Jesse (the Union sergeon)is a Confederate Cavalier. The story picks up approximately half way through the war (where One Wore Blue stopped) when Daniel is wounded (for a second time) during a battle on a farmland in Maryland. Callie Michaelson is a widow of a Union solder that is living on family property alone, trying to hold things together until her brothers are able to return from the war. Daniel ends up at her home and even though Callie is a very strong Union supporter, she recognizes Daniel as being a human being in need of medical help, instead of looking at him strictly as her enemy. She takes him in to nurse him while he steals her heart. During his recover of a approximately a week they are able to forget the war and live a fantasy of what life might be like if only the war... But then Daniel must leave to return to his Confederate cause. Callie is caught- having to make the decision of letting Daniel escape and be killed by the Yankee soldiers that now know of his existance or call him back to be captured and possibly go to Yankee prison camp. Will Daniel ever forgive her? Will she be able to let him know that she loves him? And this all happens right about the beginning. It is a great story. I appreciated how Ms. Graham continued the story from one book to another. She ends the war with One Wore Gray. The ending is great! I cried. I also appreciated how she continued Jesse and Kiernan's love story through One Wore Gray. I highly recommend reading this- but try to read One Wore Blue first so you will get the whole picture. I am looking forward to getting And One Went West. It is about the sister of the Cameron Brothers.

Summary: Fabulous book from front to back
Review: She is a widow and he is a Cameron, the rebel one. She helped him when he was sick and he called her a traitor. To her it didn't matter at the time that he was in grey but that he was alive, but she was a unionist and forever hating the grey becuase of the death of her husband. This book is my favorite book by far and it is so good. I suggest everyone read it.

Summary: Fabulous romance and ACCURATE history
Review: So much Civil War fiction is BAD Civil War fiction. People who buy Civ War to read Civ War will catch mistakes in a moment; and Heather Graham just doesn't make them. She knows the period and uses it as a backdrop for fabulous romances. The only mistake is in the artwork - Daniel Cameron is wearing captain's insignia instead of a colonel's three stars on his uniform. The romance is heartbreaking and humorous by turn; two people from opposite philosophies on the war fall in love and must find their peace amid a desperate struggle. Highly recommend!

Summary: I love these stories about the Carmeron Family
Review: The Cameron Family saga continues. Jesses brother Daniel gets to tell his story in this touching romance. Daniel wears the butternut and gray and is prepared to die for the cause. He meets Northern Callie Michaelson who nurese Daniel after a battle that was fought near her house. Despite there differences regarding the conflict love blooms anyway. Jesses and Kiernan are also part of this story. The Civil War was a difficult conflict in our history Heather Graham does it justice. A must read for any Heather Graham fan.
