Summary: The Very Best
Review: This was the very first romance novel I ever embraced, and I truly believe that I will cherish it until I die. I know the plot involved a lot of sexual encounters, but these episodes were all extremely enticing to read and one could not miss the fact that Rowena and Warrick's passion led to their powerful love. It is my opinion that Lindsey created her best male character ever in Warrick. Physically and emotionally described on every level, he is one of the few personas in the romance novels that I have read that seems "real," if you know what I mean. Rowena was wonderful, too, but her character was basically just like a lot of Lindsey's other heroines; there was nothing really that distinctive about her. Regardless, I love this book. I pick it up to review my favorite passages all the time ... and I've been doing this for the past 8 years! It's thoroughly enjoyable, and it may sound odd to say, but it changed my life. When I first read it when I was young, I got my first taste of what love would be.

Review: This book had a great story line and was very entertaining as are most of Johanna Lindsey's books. However, I feel that the sex scenes were too much the center of the story. While rather over emphasized, this aspect not not detract greatly from the worth of the book. I would recommend it if you prefer Lindsey's more erotic novels.

Review: I've read every book by Johanna Lindsey and this one is perhaps one of my least favorites. I have nothing against bondage, when its done willingly. There was nothing realistic about this book and the characters were not very likeable. Torrid sex, forced or unforced, is not why I pick of a romance book, its the interplay between characters, sex should be a natural and exciting product of their relationship. What little relationship is demonstrated between the characters in this book is shallow at best and I did not find it entertaining.

Review: This is one of my favorites, along with Hearts Aflame. I think the plots are a tad similar and there are even tied-to-the-bed scenes in both. Maybe I am a closet bondage enthusiast! But, as always, it is the romance that is the hook. Lindsey's writing is just so top-notch and the setting and time add so much to the story.

Review: This was my first Lindsey. Since reading, I've collected all of her books--read and reread. Along with "Hearts Aflame" and "Once a Princess" this one is still my favorite. I always anticipate her next book!!

Review: What a great story! I'm not surprised though.. Johanna Lindsey is my all time favorite author. That's why I read romance novels, because they are passionate and you get lost in them and forget about the real world. I will keep this one in my collection. Warrick was a mans man and Rowena a perfect partner for him.

Review: Just finished this book this morning and it only took me one day to read it. Lindsey never disappoints and usually a rape makes the happily ever after rather idiotic and unnatural, but since he is the one who is raped and can't help but enjoy himself, it made for a very interesting story. Revenge is sweet and the ending is even sweeter. Try this new twist on the historical romance.

Review: This was by far one of the sexiest books I've ever read. The love scenes between Warrick and Rowena are sizzling! I could not put this one down. I love Lindsey and the sexier the better, I have all her books and read them again and again.
