Summary: Definitely worth a read!
Review: But drat the book anyway. My first day of vacation and I think, "I'll just read the first chapter over breakfast." I mean, I had things to DO on my vacation. And instead I'm glued to the book all morning. Five kleenexes gone. And five stars, too. I almost never give out five stars any more!

Very enjoyable, lovely characters and the heroine is "reubenesque." Thank you, Ms. Fox! Good situation, tight plot, very welcome bits of humor. My only wish would be that there would have been maybe two less touchy-erotic scenes in the first half. Other than that, the relationship was electrical and the book kept me guessing about possible endings.

This is the first romance book that I thought I'd like to see made into a TV movie, if only so lots of other people would get to enjoy it, too. I very much look forward to the next fantasy romance book due out, what, this fall?, from Ms. Fox.

Summary: This was a fun book to read and look up paintings for
Review: Ever since Shakespeare's "A Midsummer's Night's Dream", I have been an avid admirer of Robin Goodfellow. This book brings him to life in a way that only women can really appreciate. The heroine in the book is just an ordinary woman, not of supermodel material, who has problems that are realistic, and Robin "courts" her in such a way that all women wish men would treat them. I look forward to the sequel to this novel with great anticipation, as I could not put this book down for a minute.

Review: I enjoyed reading this book and looked up several paintings as I went along. At the end of the book she mentions the artist of the Robin Goodfellow painting as being Thomas Gainsborough. So I looked him up and found a gorgeous painting of a man that fit the description in the book which was fun since the cover model on the book really didn't do the character justice. I do want to check out the book she mentions at the end Things that never were though to find the picture that inspired her to write such a whimsical novel.

Summary: Karen Fox : the princess of writting
Review: Karen Fox is magnificant, a true teller of tales filled with passion, love, hope and MAGIC!****

Reading Prince of Charming gave me a renewed hope in romance writers. i read ALOT of books and usually the characters are relitivly the same in discription of appearance; but in Karen Fox's book her character kate was another class all on her own.
Instead of the model long legs, skinny waist, and perferct complection; Kate had a more natural appeal that i found refreshing. And above all so did the opposite main character Robin Goodfellow!

In this delightfull story of romance, and magic, Kate had unknowingly realesed Robin from his imprisonment in a portrait he was traped in for eternity. After being released Robin goes on a quest to find Queen Titania's crown, which is one of the reasons he was trapped. As they imbark on a fun filled journey to reinstate Robin in to the Faery realem, Kate begins to learn that looks are not everything and you can fun love in the oddest of places. (even in paintings)

If you love Romance, Laughter and Magical Fun, i highly recommened this book to all who have the belief in happy endings. YOU DON"T WANT TO MISS THIS BOOK!!!

Summary: A unique fantasy that I truly enjoyed!
Review: Karen Fox's PRINCE OF CHARMING was a joy to read. Her writing style is wonderful, the story itself unique and fun and the entire book was one I didn't want to put down.
Kate Carmichael has been living in her dream house--the victorian home of an elderly friend who has recently passed away. Facing eviction, the last thing she needs is any more complications, but that's exactly what she gets in the form of Robin Goodfellow. Robin has been magically trapped in a portrait of himself for two hundred years, and while he's now freed from the picture thanks to Kate, he's unable to move more than 50 feet from Kate's side, effectively trapping him to her.
The two must figure out how to free each other, but as they do, they both realize that being free isn't exactly what either of them want.
This Magical Love romance from Jove is a must read!

Summary: Very highly recommended!
Review: Kate Carmichael no longer believes in magic after her father left on a quest for fairy gold twelve years ago. Her father promised to return for her, but now is presumed dead. Now her guardian Nana has passed away, and the will promising her the Victorian house has gone missing. Adam, Kate's guardian and only living relative, put economics ahead of his grandmother after his father dies. Making money became more important than an aging grandmother, especially after Adam marries. Without the will, Adam inherits the house and immediately dispossess Kate. Kate's loss runs deeper than the simple loss of the property. The house has been the only security in her life since her father's abandonment.

When Kate lifts the portrait and peers at the back, her fairy sight picks up on a mysterious name. When she reads the name Robin Goodfellow aloud, a charming, sexy man suddenly appears before her. Two hundred years of banishment into a portrait at the hands of the Queen of the Fae left Robin Goodfellow with only the ability to watch and listen. He's watched Kate grow and mature, and cares for her deeply. Now Kate has a week to move, and must cope with this man with a gift of charm, as well.

Robin doesn't stay long wit mortal women, as a rule. But Kate is different. He enjoys her friendship, and is wildly attracted to her Rubenesque figure. Robin's magic, a gift for charm, has always provided whatever he wants or needs, but when he finds himself needing Kate, true magic begins. Of course, the fact that he can't get further than fifty feet away, without magically reappearing at her side, has it's own attraction!

This whimsical tale will delight the heart of romance readers who believe in magic. The light humor and depths of passion prove to be quite delightful. Moreover, I find it refreshing for other reasons, as well. Not only does PRINCE OF CHARMING blend fairly lore and marvelous archetypes, but the heroine is quite remarkable-a sexy, tall, full figured woman, to be precise. Watching Kate's metamorphosis into self acceptance and full womanhood is wonderful! This novel is a marvelous read! Very highly recommended.

Summary: A Decent Read, but Nothing Exceptional...
Review: Kate Carmichael's life has never been what you would call easy. Her mother died after a two-year bout with cancer, her father disappeared twelve years ago to find fairy gold, and her guardian, her beloved Nana, has passed away. Nana promised Kate that she would be taken care of, but without a will, Kate cannot prove that Nana was going to leave her Victorian house to Kate so she is being evicted. Kate immediately starts searching the house and discovers that there is a name scrawled on the back of the portrait in the library. And this is not just any portrait - this is the portrait of the most handsome, sexy man Kate has ever seen and whom she confided all of her troubles in when she was growing up. Imagine her surprise when the portrait comes to life after she speaks the name "Robin Goodfellow". Robin has been released from his imprisonment in the portrait, but discovers that he is now bound to Kate and cannot be further than 50 feet away from her. As they cannot be separated, Kate is forced to help Robin find the gate of the Fae so that he can try and appease the anger of Titiania, the Faery queen who imprisoned him in the portrait. And she better get rid of him fast or Kate will never be able to let Robin go...

I have to admit that I was disappointed in this book. I love fantasy, love faeries and was excited to see them mixed up in a romantic setting, but this book fell far below my expectations. The first third of the book deals with Kate and Robin both resisting their attraction to each other and insisting that they are "just friends". They finally get together in the middle third and then Robin decides that he has to go back to being just friends during the last third so that their parting will be easier. Robin and Kate kept falling into the same conversations and saying no then yes then no, etc. The romance between the two main characters could have been better, the plot could have been better developed, in short, just borrow it from someone who was unfortunate enough to have purchased the dang thing and that way if you don't finish it you haven't lost anything but a little time.

Summary: Cute and Fluffy
Review: Not the deepest romance ever written, but it is funny and the characters are fun. I also enjoyed the fact that her heroine was not built like a runway model and actually had a job that was a real job, not a daydream on tax-return day.
