Summary: Deja Vu!!!
Review: All of Janet's books seem to have the same theme; a young woman has a job, and in that job finds a male companion.
That male companion ends up with a dog named Bob. Also there's
an elderly woman who loves to shoot guns.

I truly don't mind deja vu when it comes to Janet Evanovich, because her books are wonderful, very adventurous, but each one is very different. I look forward to the new names and the occupations in each story. This time it is Daisy and Steve in radio broadcasting.

I like Janet Evanovich's style. I never get bored and the pages seem to fly by. I have to give this book 4 stars, and recommend it to anyone who likes a good, fun, and quick read:)

Summary: A fun and quick read
Review: An easy and fun mystery is a good description of this book. Being a Plum fan, I'm wondering if this is where Ms. Evanovich got the idea for her characters. Elsie reminded me of Stephanie's grandmother and Daisy had a little bit of Stephanie in her. I enjoyed reading it; a good escape from a stressful week.

Summary: Fun Story
Review: Change of pace book in which Steve Crow realizes quickly that he's in love with Daisy Adams. She's the one who's resistant to more committment, since her life is overextended with responsibilities already. Some classic Evanovich scenes (including a wrecked car!). I've noticed that the sexual encounters in her Loveswept series books are a little more graphic than those in her Stephanie Plum novels, for those of you who care about such things. Also appearing in this book are the prototypes for Grandma Mazur and Uncle Sandor's car. The characters were sexy, sneaky, witty and just plain funny. It's a book worth finding.

Summary: pretty funny
Review: Daisy Adams gets a traffic reporting job working for Steve Crow. And Steve falls in love with Daisy. Daisy and Steve have some interesting adventures

In one adventure Daisy needs a bodyguard. So who does Steve hire? Another woman who is a senior citizen!

Their traffic reports are pretty funny and the whole book has some good laughs.

It is worth reading.

Summary: Love in the Fast Lane
Review: Daisy Adams never planned to fall in love with her boss Steve Crow....she was too busy holding down three other jobs and trying to finish work on her doctoral dissertation. But that's exactly what happened to Daisy when she agreed to be the temporary traffic reporter on radio station WZZZ. Daisy got a lot more than she bargained for when she unwittingly captures a drug dealer that has eluded the police for weeks (by hitting him with her car)! The drug dealer wants revenge, so Daisy moves in with Steve for protection. The funniest character in this book is Elsie Hawkins, a gun-toting grandma who Daisy hires to be her bodyguard while driving around the highways of suburban Washington to do her traffice reporting.

This lighthearted novel show another side of Janet Evanovich's talent. The book was written several years before the first Stephanie Plum book. Elsie is a prototype of the beloved Grandma Mazur. This book also introduces the original "Bob the Dog." THe character of Daisy isn't nearly as sassy as Stephanie Plum, but she's very sweet. This was a quick read, but very enjoyable and funny.

Summary: The Rocky Road to Romance
Review: Daisy Adams offers to take on the temporary job of traffic reporter, but her boss can only think of more than enough reason why she should not. In the end, she wins out. But, several false starts seem to prove she is doomed to failure. Plus, she is being threatened. So, Steve insists she hires someone for protection. Little did he know it would be an elderly woman who is just breaking into the business! They have several hair raising events such as the time when Elsie's car is stolen and then they are rammed by another car. Daisy and Steve become very close and his dog helps bring them even closer. Evanovich has added humor to this wonderfully light and "feel good" romance. You can see a lot of the mixture from her number series in this book. Happy reading!

Summary: LOL!
Review: I STARTED OUT BY READING THE STEPHANIE PLUM SERIES AND I LOVE THIS JUST AS MUCH. IT'S GOT DIFFERENT CHARACTERS BUT THE SAME ZANY TYPES OF CHARACTERS AND SITUATIONS. DON'T READ THIS ONE OUT IN PUBLIC BECAUSE PEOPLE LOOK AT YOU LIKE YOUR CRAZY WHEN YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD OVER IT.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fun!
Review: I've noticed when an author reaches a certain level of success, their earlier works start getting published or republished. Sometimes this is a good thing, and sometimes it's not.

In this case, it was a great thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Plenty of laugh out loud moments made it worth the time. I suspect that if you enjoy her other work you'll enjoy this tale of Daisy, Steve and the first Bob-the-dog.

Summary: A Great Quick Read Anyone Can Enjoy!
Review: My boyfriend purchased this book for me so I would have something to read for a little weekend getaway. I had been very interested in reading the series of (10) books Envanovich has but when I received this one I figured what a better way to see if I like her writing style.

The Rocky Road to Romance was a fun and quick read, unlike many books I have read who take 150 pages to explain what Evanovich writes in 50. That's not to say she is skimping out on anything, the book was fabulous and I wish it didn't end.

I agree with the other reviews where if you want to get away/ or take a break from the other "meatier" books, this is the book to do it with!

ENJOY!!!

Summary: Romance, firebombs, gun toting grannies and a dog named Bob!
Review: Rocky Road to Romance is a romantic tale whose central figure is a young woman, Daisy Adams, with an overextended schedule trying to make ends meet and finish her graduate school while holding down a multitude of jobs and obligations. One of her jobs is as the "Dog Lady" on the local radio station where she tells dog tales and recipes for your pooch ina 5 minute morning slot. When the radio station's traffic reporter is injured, Daisy is viewed as a great choice to fill in his place until he recovers.
The owner of the radio station falls hard for Daisy and what ensues is an Evanovich romance replete with car wrecks, drug dealers, gun toting grannies, firebombs and a dog named Bob!!
This is a delight to read, both sweet and hilarious and will leave you looking forward to Janet Evanovich's other LOVESWEPT stories.
