Rating: Summary: Madeline Baker at her BEST!!! Review: This, like "First Love, Wild Love" is one of Madeline's books that will stay with me for a life time! Dalton Crowkiller is a man that will live in my memory forever. Like one of the other reviews said, "Eddie Little Sky" must have really made a lasting impression on Madeline when she modeled these characters after him. All I can say is that I am sorry that I never met him, but felt like I have after reading this book! Thank you Madeline for such a romantic, on the edge of your seat best book I have ever read. I will read it again and again
Rating: Summary: I would Sin for Him - too! Excellent! Review: Under the Prairie Moon, Madeline BakerAll I thought about while I was reading this book was, "why couldn't this be me". For once in my life let lady luck or fate or destiny might sprinkle a little bit of "love" on me for a change! Whatever Kathy Conley was destined for - I want some of it! Time is flying by. Kathy comes from Chicago to Sauls Crossing in Montana after her husband dies in a traffic accident. As fate has it she takes over a ranch which was left to her husband. She begins fixing up and trying to go on with her life, she begins to fix up this place by painting, decorating, fixing up when she thinks or sees someone else is there. She does not know if it is a ghost or it's a figment of her imagination but whatever it is, - she knows she isn't alone! She sees glimpses of a black coat, an image of a tall swarthy man, and as she walks the hills by the "hanging tree" she imagines a tall man dressed all in black, dangling from the branch. He could only appear to Kathy for some reason. Dalton Crowkiller stood proudly right outside her bedroom when she ran for her gun when he said, "you won't need that". She said, "who are you". She already knew who he was because she read the diary that she found of Lydia Conley, the women who caused Dalton's hanging. Dalton Crowkiller is the kind of man a woman would abandon herself for, and to Kathy Conley his is the most frightening, handsome man she has ever seen. But time and another woman separate them, until he is given one last chance to change the course of his life. From the queen of Indian romances you become carried away into another time, in the same place as we started but return to a new and wonderful place. I will not say another word about this book but will let you purchase it - no savior it - as I did! You will love it!
