Summary: Don't waste your time..
Review: The notion of a fictional book about online journaling is a somewhat interesting one, but not really one that should be pursued, and this book proves it.

Some of the scenes were so dry (the main character doing nothing but looking around her room at random objects, for example), that I ended up practically skimming the book to finish it.

Also, the use of the characters watching the movie "High Fidelity," and then acting similarly to the movie was such a tacky and blatant way to further the story, and only shows that there wasn't very much original in this book.

Overall, if you're interested in reading someone's journal, do so online, but don't bother reading it offline by picking up this book.

Summary: It started out so good...
Review: but then it went downhill fast. The first several chapters were laugh-out-loud-I-can't-wait-for-someone-I-know-to-read-this-so-we-can-laugh-about-it-together funny! I kept thinking, "I have to loan this to EVERYONE, so they can enjoy it!" But then about halfway through it got sooo dull and predictable--the same old chick lit. It was basically Bridgett Jones with a little Carrie Bradshaw mixed in with it. NO ORIGINAL IDEAS! I will probably still recommend it to my friends, but now with the warning that it disappoints in the end.

Summary: My New Favorite Book
Review: I was walking around the bookstore one day looking for something to read and I was drawn to the bright yellow cover. I knew I HAD to have the book just by the title. My job allows me to read a lot at work, and my boss had to ask me not to bring the book back because I was laughing so hard! I could not put it down... literally... Some of the subjects she wrote about hit so close to home it was unreal. I definetly recommend this book!!

Summary: Great first novel!
Review: If you have ever read an online journal before then I recommend that you read this book then. The author of this book, Pamela Ribon, has written a fictional novel based on her online journal website www.pamie.com. This is Ribon's first novel and it is a great one at that!

The main character, Anna Koval, is a high school librarian who decides to learn html to kill some time at work. The first story that she posts is about "Slutty Barbie's." She describes all of the "special" Barbie's and friends that she used to play with Barbie (after reading this story you are pretty much hooked from there).

After posting her first entry she is shocked to discover that people have actually read it and she continues to keep posting journal entries. But, she tells her readers that she is still going out with her ex-boyfriend Ian.

This book is a hilarious look at what an online journalist hast to go through and it is a great first time book.

Summary: I didn't want it to end!
Review: This book was wonderful! I picked the book up because the title intrigiued me but once I read the back I knew it had to be mine. I found myself wondering about Anna during the day, racing home to read another page which always turned into a chapter or two! I would definitely recommend this book to people, but I will caution you that it does have a chapter or so that is sad, so watch out. Other than that, the book is great and would definitely suggest giving it a second look!

Summary: The book with a little bit of everything
Review: I LOVED this book! It made me laugh hysterically (on a plane, which earned me strange looks), as well as cry. I bought it because of the cover as well as the online diary aspect of it. I myself keep an online diary, but I try to be a little more honest in my writing than Anna does. I finished the book feeling glad that I AM honest in my diary.

Great story, excellent writing and all in all A GREAT READ! I highly recommend it!

Summary: A very entertaining read
Review: I got this book mostly for the blogging aspect of it...and was pleasantly surprised when I found myself pulled into it and watching this girl keep her lies on line straight with post-it notes. I was especially loving her character Dale...I want a DALE to be my friend.

Anyway, I found it intriguing with a good storyline. Solid characters, and it is easy to distinguish between the parts that are Anna Koval and her online personality Anna K. I found this book easy to relate to and recommend it...even if you don't blog.

Summary: This Book is Awesome!
Review: This book is great! I absolutely adore this book. It is a relaxing and addictive book that you can't put down. I felt like I was talking to my best friend the whole time!

Summary: How many "chick-lit" books do we need?
Review: I read this mainly for the journal/blog theme. Aside from that, there is nothing in here that hasn't been written before. No surprises, no twists, just the same old story. It was entertaining in parts, but nothing special.

Summary: The best book ever
Review: This is the best book I have ever read. I've never been a reader and then one day my boss said she had a book I should read. I hoped she'd for get to bring it in but she didn't. So I started reading the first chapter about her Barbies and remebered playing with mine in almost the same way with out all the fetish Barbies. Then I couldn't put it down, I related to Anna Koval and her gay best friend. I can't stop wanting to read it again to see if I missed something. At the end of the book I was almost sad it was over I loved it so much and it made me want to read a 1,000 book just like it. If I had to use one word to describe this book I couldnt it's funny, amazing, entertaining, and just let me stop there I could go on for ever.
