Well, Diamond Swain needed a break big time and that's how she came to Jake's ranch called Whispering Pines. There he tried to ignore her, but like all love stories go it didn't work so well. He realized that she was kind and had a heart and wasn't like his ex-wife who only wanted to change him into something he wasn't.
It was a little drawn out in the end, but it was still a good read. I was really glad to read about the other family members. Who was pregnant and what they were doing now? That was really nice.

Besides assembling all the players of the Madaris clan and close friends there is promise of more romances brewing. I am betting on Alex Maxwell to become more intimately involved with the Madarises. This is a must read for Brenda Jackson fans.

Review: The men of the Madaris family are really loving men. Ms. Jackson lets us see one of the Madaris Uncle love story. Jake Madarais and Diamond Swain love story is beautiful. To be married two years and no one knows. Jake showed unquestionable love for Diamond by keeping the fact they were married a secret for so long from everyone including his family. I love the fact that both Jake and Diamond had both been in bad marriages and still learn to love again. The Madaris men and their friends fight hard for the woman they love. I hope to hear more about the Madaris family and friends.

Review: this book instantly became a favorite for me.i love diamond and jake right from the baginning.there diamond was looking for a break from career for a few weeks and jake was uninterested in finding love with any other woman since his selfish wife walked out on him years ago,one could only wonder what would take place between these two,but what took place was love so deep and withstanding that you could do nothing but root for these two to be together. jake was very protecting of diamond and love how life was on the ranch for the to of them.diamond and jake both deserved happiness and finally did get once their secret and the thret from the person who wanted to destroy relationship was found out.this book will keep you up reading from beginning to ending,one day straight.
