Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK Review: A real fun book to read. Line after line of humor that had me laughing time after time. The behind-the-scene look into a reality TV show was hilarious. But it was the dose of seriousness thrown in for good measure, that I take the most from this book. The author does a great job in writing about a marriage getting sidetracked from the day-to-day hustles of everyday life and taking things for granted. OVERALL: BUY THIS BOOK....a excellent read....
Rating: Summary: Reality TV was never so good Review: A witty, insightful summer read. From the opening lines you can't stop chuckling. A well written behind the scenes look at the dating and mating reality shows we just can't get enough of.The author shows us these husband hunting ladies we all love to hate and love to love are more intelligent and genuine than we think and more conniving and shallow than we know.Loved the date locations. For a first time author I say well done, we'll look for Sarah on the big screen.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read....I Can't Stop Talking About It! Review: As Jennifer O'Connell's first publishing, I was impressed with her ability to keep me on the edge of my seat for the entire book! I was amazed at how I was actually starting to believe this was a "real behind the scenes" story...It's that captivating! This would make a great Chick Flick! One element of the book's plot that I love the most is how Sarah and her husband rekindle the spark that brought them together in the first place which was somehow lost through focusing on their careers and raising a child.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: As someone used to reading all about "singletons," this story managed to include all the fun and angst usually found in chicklit with a little more depth because of the truly not-so-funny topic of marriage and infidelity. Sarah struggles to fit in with the single women while truly not understanding why someone would want to do something so ridiculous. And it's that middle ground between being one of them and trying to be nothing like them, that gives the story its edge and humor, and the character her appealing voice.
Rating: Summary: A great read Review: Bachelorette #1 was wonderfully written, insightful and extremely hard to put down. Sarah is someone who I found myself rooting for and flying through the pages to see how she and the other Hens fared in the world of the Stag. Her insights to self and the struggles she overcomes with who she is within her marriage and as a mother were true to this reader. Her dialogue and characterization pulled me along and I stayed up late into the night to take an incredible journey with Sarah. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an intelligent read that has you laughing as well as crying. Thanks, Jennifer, for a great read.
Rating: Summary: Great Concept, Great Read! Review: Even if you're not a fan of reality television, you'll like this book. It's funny, touching, and has a lot to say about love, marriage, and children. When O'Connell writes about the "currency" of saying "I love you" and about attraction, it's really good -- a helpful reminder for those of us who are married.
Great concept and a great read.
Rating: Summary: Quick, cute and addictive Review: I had a fun time reading this book, which manages to be entertaining chick lit even though the main character is married. The story is fast-paced, and before you know it you're half way through the story, sucked in to Sarah's situation and the choices she has to make. Get this in time for summer, because it has beach book written all over it.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Review: I had a lot of fun reading Jennifer L O'Connell's, "Bachelorette Number One," and I think most people who love romantic stories will enjoy this book as much as I did. The characters are a lot of fun, the dialogue is a lot of fun, and the plot is a real page turner! Congrautlations on a job well-done writer O'Connell! (A Recommended Novel!)
Rating: Summary: You have to read it! Review: I just finished this book and feel compelled to tell everyone I can how great it is. It puts a personal perspective to the reality shows we all love but won't admit to watching. It's a fun read with little twists and turns along the way. As a 30 year old, married with kids, I can really relate to Sarah's inner turmoil. If you are looking for a well written AND fun read, this is your book.
Rating: Summary: Reality Tv Review: I liked this book for being a quick read. I enjoy some of the reality shows because the people on them can be so superficial and silly just like some of the characters in this book. I recommend it because it can be a quick beach summer read.
