Rating: Summary: Too mushy for me Review: I cannot give a true review of this book because it is not my type of reading. I bought it out of desperation to read something. My preferences goes to book by these authors: Judith Michael, Penny Vincenzi, Jean M. Auel, Belva Plain, John Grisham, etc.
Rating: Summary: Julie and Zach Review: This book made me cry. It was so heart-feeling and i have read it over and over again ever since i bought it a long time ago. This story is about Julie, a woman, who even though was fostered and survived by will alone, grew up with their adoptive parents and their already-made family. Zach is a man who is convicted of killing her wife. He escapes and takes Julie as his prisoner. Things start to happen when Julie and Zach fell in love. Julie mistakenly thinks that Zach would be better off if he was turned in to the police, but Zach mistakes it for betrayal. If you read this book, make sure to have tissues around. Also, make sure to read "Paradise" is you want to know more about Meredith and Matthew Farrell.
Rating: Summary: all-time favorite book!!!!! Review: A wonderfully written novel with lots of heart. A book that can be read over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Good story, bad values Review: I hate to be the lone voice of dissent, but am I the only person here who realizes that Ms. McNaught always has nice guys finish last? This book is the perfect (no pun intended) example. Paul Richardson protects Julie, puts his career on the line for her, waits for her patiently while she's trying to get over another guy and is an absolutely wonderful, caring, charming character in his own right. Yet he still gets it stuck to him to the end. After Julie and Zack reunite (due to Paul's intervention I might add - how noble is that - a guy who loves her is willing to go and play peacemaker between her and the guy he knows she really loves - Paul just drops out of the picture. Sheesh. I liked Zack, but let's not forget that he kidnapped Julie, seduced her, forcibly humiliated her, abandoned her and broke her heart. Here she has Paul, a guy who's practically allowing her to use his heart as a doormat and he is just not important. After Zack reappears, he literally no longer even exists. Maybe readers feel that Zack needed Julie more, but why does the nice guy always have to be on the receiving end? Couldn't Ms. McNaught at least show Julie thanking and acknowledging Paul for what he has done? This book seems to say that although glamor and money are meaningless without a good heart and values, the good heart is equally worthless withoiut the accompanying glitter.
Rating: Summary: Greatest romance of all Review: Everybody MUST read this. It's just fantastic. After reading all of JM's book. I could not enjoyed others anymore. I cried and laughed at the same time. It will be my most treasured book. The best part of this book is that we get to know to what happen after the happy ending...It is Just fantastic.I will at least read it once a month.
Rating: Summary: Perfect is the perfect book! But beware... Review: There has never been a more perfect book than this one! Julie is perfect, Zach is perfect, the whole darned book is perfect!! The only thing wrong with it is that it ends!! I have read it so many times that it is tattered and torn. Beware, however: once you start it, you can't put it down, and once you've finished it you'll never enjoy another book as much as you did this one!
Rating: Summary: A True Treasure! Review: Before Perfect I read exclusivly Historical Romance. Then, on a whim, I picked up perfect at Safeway. For the first time was I opened up to contemporary romances. I loved it! I was so dissapointed when I finished "Perfect", that I picked it up and read it again. I could kill myself for giving that book away. Zack, despite escaping from prison, is a true hero and I just loved the kidnapping scene! I was crying when I was through, it was such a wonderful story of love and devotion.
Rating: Summary: One of my most FAVORITE books! Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read!!! Reading this book envoked a wide range of emotions from laughing out loud to tears running down my face. I work in a library and when I notice that a patron has selected one of JM's books (or someone comparable) I always ask if they have read PERFECT and if they have not I've known some patrons to return to the shelves to get it. This is definitely JM's best!
Rating: Summary: This book was perfect!!! Review: I believe this was Miss Mcnaught's best work yet. I loved this novel and read it within a day. I just could not bring myself to put it down. I recommended it to all my friends.
Rating: Summary: I own three copies of this book for a reason! Review: I couldn't put this book down. I truely love this book. I currently own three copies of it. Each copy is a little more battered. If I can't find a copy I borrow one from the library or buy a new one. This is a must read. I have been reading Romance novels since I was ten and none have ever touched me the way this one did. Maybe it was because it was more realistic. The guy didn't come sweeping in and save the girl from the bad guys. He was the bad guy and she saved him from the worse guys not too mention she saved him from an existence in which he connected with no one. I think that every little girl dreams of being someone like Julie. We all want to save the world.
