Summary: Wonderful!
Review: "Simply Love" is another wonderful romantic story by Catherine Anderson. I also loved "Annie's Song" and "Forever After".

Summary: I "SIMPLY LOVED" THIS BOOK
Review: Catherine Anderson has a winner here. I loved it and couldn't wait read another from her.

Summary: I just bawled at the end!
Review: I greatly admire a writer who can pull you into the story so deeply that you can feel the hero's heart breaking when he loses someone so important to him. Even though I know that romance novels end happily, I was boo-hooing by the time Luke finally was able to express his true feelings to Cassie. Susan Anderson is a wonderful storyteller. I have read and enjoyed most of her books and plan now to read them all. I appreciate the effort she must take to create realistic characters and settings in her historical novels.

Summary: An almost great love story
Review: I had very high hopes for this novel. I've always liked the bad boy type hero and Luke is certainly that. In fact, as other reviewers have noted, he's so ruthless at the beginning of the book that I almost disliked him. However, I liked that Catherine Anderson gave us such a hero because he's much more realistic this way. Having been raised in a brothel by his abusive, prostitute mother, and having also been sexually molested as a child, is it any wonder that he would be so hard? He needed Cassandra's sweetness to redeem him.

So why not 5 stars? Unlike many of the other reviewers, I really couldn't countenance Cassandra after a while. Her total naivite was unrealistic and nerve-racking after a while. She believed in lepraucans for goodness sake! I mean, after all the really broad hints that Luke gave her about what he wanted out of their relationship, she didn't understand?? She'd never heard of the phrase "wifely duties"? I just can't buy that someone would be that naive. It bordered on stupid (indeed it passed that border many times). I almost didn't finish reading it after she repeatedly refused to forgive Luke and only did forgive him at the very end because he said "I love you." That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Despite his initial deception, how could she not know he loved her after all he'd done for her and her little brother?? Come on, how stupid and silly can a person be. Besides, it seemed like in the end that she would have chosen to stay with her father over going back to Luke if her father hadn't changed his mind about Luke. I guess I just thought that the love was uneven here. Luke seemed to love Cassandra a lot more than she loved him

Summary: One of the all time best ever
Review: I love to read and usually finish a book a day. Yesterday was the first time I have ever read a book by Catherine Anderson. What a wonderful treat. Luke and Cassie are so real that you become completely and totally engrossed in their story. By the end I couldn't see the words on the pages because I was crying so hard. Seldom does a book make me lose myself in it like this one. I can't wait to read all the rest of her stories. This is simply one of the best romance novels I have ever read.

Summary: Wonderful Story!!!
Review: I love to read historical romances among other things. This is the first book I've read by Catherine Anderson and it was a great story. Luke is such a selfish rogue in the beginning that I immediately disliked him because of his selfishness, wanting to hire a paid companion and no less an innocent like Cassie. Then having her father and brother thrown in jail so that he could have what he wanted but this is where the story took off for me. I love Nora Roberts' books because like this one they all have a good plot. I've found another wonderful author in Ms. Anderson.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful!
Review: I loved this book!! What more can I say? This book made me laugh until tears came to my eyes, this book made me cry and most importantly, this book made me feel incredibly warm and fuzzy and totally sorry that I finished it off so quickly!

Luke and Cassandra are wonderful characters - although to be perfectly honest, Cassandra was a little too naive for my taste - really - could one woman - ignorant to the worldly ways of men or not - be so ignorant to Luke's blatant intentions?

I really liked Luke - sure he was mean and lying and manipulative, but deep down he was wonderful and came to his senses before the love of his life left him.

This book had me sighing and wishing for that soul-rending absolute love that they had for each other.

A real good read... worth every cent!

Summary: Charm me so deeply....
Review: I really admire the creation of the story in this novel. It is so real and so true. Given the testimony of a good and true God worshiper and some of not so true ones..... and yet, it is reality in this world we leave in. Somehow it touches my heart as no other books could. It brings me closer to God (if only possible) and gives the understanding of what real love could do to others,,, it is the healing balm to sore soul.
Praise to Cathrine Anderson. You have done it again!

Summary: A sweet love story
Review: I really enjoyed this book. Luke and Cassandra's story was very sweet to read. It was also sad. I had a hard time believing that anyone could be as naive and innocent as Cassie. I also got really mad when Luke set up the Zerek men to go to jail. Other than that I really enjoyed the changes Luke went through to learn how to love and I thought it was a great ending. Defenitly worth the read!
