Summary: Romantic page turner. With adventure, murder, mystery,& passion
Review: I have read all of Elizabeth Lowell's novels and enjoy the Donovan Family stories most of all. Archer has always been the most intriguing and to see his weakness for a woman is amazing. From the descriptive way Ms. Lowell lures us into the humid tropics of Austrailia to the rain filled streets of Seattle gave me the feeling that I was indeed there in the room also looking for the elusive Black Pearl. And I would have done anything to find it from the way the pearl was described. I do not claim to have much knowledge in the jewelry industry but after reading stories of amber, jade, and now pearls I can have an idea of what really goes on out there behind the closed doors. And how it gets to the fine jewelry department. I reccomend this book to anyone that has a few hours to enjoy and spend some time wandering into romantic mysteries. This is a great book. I can't wait to read the other Donovan kids stories!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent - highly recommend it!!!!!!!
Review: Lowell's Donovan series is one of the best. I really look forward to reading about the rest of the siblings stories: Faith, Justin and Lawe. The family dialogue is real, poignant and filled with chemistry.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: suspensfull and intriguing
Review: Lowell does it again..Was wonderful .Have read the other books in the series and was so excited to finally read about Archer. Can hardly wait to read what lays ahead for Faith..Love continuity in my characters. Hope you include more about the previous characters in the next continuation of the exploits of this family

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not really a gem of a book!
Review: It was good but not five star material. They were some serious problems with the story and honestly Lowell needs to stop using the word "Uncle," it sounds funny. Also, the action, suspense, mystery was LAME. The romance was nice...though a tad contrived. Why do Lowell's characters have to be so traumatized? Can't they be HAPPY for once?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Just as good as the first two books in the Donovan Series.
Review: I have loved all of the books in the Donovan Series and this one is no exception! Archer was my favorite character from the beginning and I think he and Hannah were well matched. It also re-introduces characters from the first two books, showing what has been going on with the rest of the family.

I cannot wait for the final book in the Donovan saga, which will be Faith's story. Midnight in Ruby Bayou will be out June of 2000, for all you other Donovan fans out there!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Loved it! I did not want it to end!!
Review: I was recently introduced to the Donovan family. I have now read all 3 books and cannot wait for the stories of the remaining siblings and the continued exploits of Archer & Hannah, Jake & Honor and Kyle & Lianne.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent Writing, Again!
Review: I have truly enjoyed reading Elizabeth Lowell's novels and look forward to her next one already. I really like the series with the Donavans and hope that she will continue to expand upon them in the future.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Highly Intriguing Read
Review: This is not only a suspenseful romance, but a remarkably interesting story surrounding the pearl industry.

Although at times the romance demanded I suspend belief with regard to the level of passion between the lovers, in the face of such dramatic emotional hurt, this is really what most of our romance books demand. It's no less entertaining by any measure.

I loved Archer and his family. I loved Hannah, especially when she finally figured out the difference between having sex and "making love."

It's a terrific read. Don't miss it.

Summary: another great Elizabeth Lowell mystery/romance
Review: I join those that couldn't wait for the paperback - I have all three of this series in hardback as Elizabeth Lowell continues to be one of my favorite authors. I like the fact that many of the "romance" authors are starting to write mystery/romances as I think many of the stories are improved with the information needed to solve the problems being encountered. I have really enjoyed this trilogy.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What a good book!
Review: I really enjoyed this book! I got into the series kinda late so I've read the three books (Amber Beach, Jade Island, and Pearl Cove) one right after the other. I am glad I did. Ms. Lowell gives a good read and plenty of background. Thank you! I can't wait until I find out if Faith is going to have her own story, or if we find out how The Donovan met Susa. I wonder how long we will have to wait on that?
