Summary: My absolute favorite of her NOTORIOUS series.... stunning!
Review: I've read this book twice in the past three months (yes, reading plenty of other things, too!) , and have begun my third reading of it.....

It takes a LOT to make me want to keep and re-read a book.
But there is a true and beautiful love story, completely believable, which happens to Damien Sinclair and Vanessa Wyndham. It's one of only two romances I've read where I feel the characters are so real and so compelling that I truly care, deeply, what happens to them... their story has moved me, very , very much.

Most romances I enjoy very much, then put them down when I've finished them, and think, 'wow, that was fun, I want to read another one'...

This one is more like : "Oh --- how beautiful -- thank God they found each other. This is perfect! I am so happy for them!" It's not at all the little fun smile you feel at the end of a romance novel. It's a feeling of complete joy.

He is not at all what he appears to be. Vanessa finds this out. And she also finds out, thanks to him, that she's loaded with passion and feelings she never knew she had. And he is so incredibly patient with her -- it's just gorgeous. Even though at times it 's maddening to have to 'wait' for the two of them to finally make love, the delays are completely believable , for both of them. Especially as he's promised her over and over again he will wait until she's ready . And boy , does he EVER make it worth her while that he waited for her (it was driving him crazy, too, but he was a complete gentleman....) It makes their eventual joining 1,000x as sweet and beautiful as your standard romance. WELL worth the wait. Then, the most utterly beautiful scenes, where he's in essence guiding her through her own brand-new feelings... I don't want to give all the book away, here... but he is so GOOD to her, you just fall in love with him. Talk about every woman's fantasy!!

The subplot with his sister Olivia and her brother Aubrey is also extremely well-conceived and carried out. I really grow to love both of them, despite not liking Aubrey much at all at first. But he does completely redeem himself. It's just one more great part of this amazing book.

I can't find any flaws in it. It just feels so very real. Of course I know it's fiction, but wow.... talk about being completely drawn into their world. I'm so thrilled to have this book, and to have had the immense pleasure of discovering it. They REALLY love each other, and are truly perfectly suited. None of them has been perfect in the past, but they grow and change so much in the book...

My deepest thanks to Ms. Jordan for an unforgettable reading experience.

I love the other four NOTORIOUS novels as well: The Passion (wow!); Ecstasy (to *die* for); Desire(yes!!); and The Prince of Pleasure (YOW! Sizzling!)...
I'm looking forward to THE LOVER, next on my list of Jordan books to read, and have already devoured 'Master of Temptation', another winner. I'll be a fan for life!

Summary: Boring, repetitive, insipid, inane, corny, ridiculous, ect.
Review: I actually wish that Amazon made negative star reviews possible. This is one of the worst novels I've tried to read in the past ten years, and I've read some duds. Really, this is the first one that I just could not make myself finish. Ms. Jordan underestimates the intelligence of romance readers. She repeats the same plot elements over and over and over again, as if it were possible to forget the overly simplistic thoughts, feelings, and actions of the characters. Ms. Jordan also relies too much on narration (telling, not showing), so the conversations and interactions between the characters are few and far between. The lavender prose and the one-dimensional protagonists only serve to emphasize the author's laziness, it seems that she only wanted to reach a certain word count by recycling plot elements from Romance Novel Land. Don't waste your time or money. If you want to read hot romance novels written by intelligent authors for intelligent readers, try anything by Madeline Hunter or Liz Carlyle.

Summary: The Seduction
Review: AWESOME! The first book I picked up by Nicole Jordan was "The Seduction". Since then I have scrambled to find anything with her name on it to read. Not only are the stories good, but they never get boring. It is so hard to put down the books once you open them. It has been a week since that first book and I have read 4 more since then. I just started on the 5th book in her Notorious series. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it deserves at least 10.
