Rating: Summary: Absolutely Teriffic! Review: I can't say enough good things about this author. Even though I have read the books in this series, I haven't missed out on a thing. This book was wonderful. I started reading it during a windstorm that eventually knock the power out. I had to light six candles to continue reading it and I wasn't disappointed. The characters seem so read that I laughed and cried right along Rejar and Lilac. This book was a ture delight to read. A MUST READ for any Dara Joy fan!
Rating: Summary: Fabulous--What more can I say? Review: The first book I read by Dara Joy was "Tonight or Never" and I couldn't put it down. I immediately went to my library and checked out all of her other books that I could find (Rejar among them) and simply devoured them, mostly in one sitting. I would find myself laughing out loud at her characters' antics, especially the misunderstandings between Rejar and Lilac due to their totally different backgrounds. While I'd love to slap some of her male characters (Login, Traed and Rejar) for thinking women should do what they're told, as the female characters would love to do, like them, I think the men are just too loveable in their hard-headedness. I gave this one five stars, because that's as many as I'm allowed! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: An exciting story without a stong ending Review: While Regency England is one of my favorite settings for romantic fiction I wasn't quite satisfied by this book. Rejar, the character, manages to maintain his place in society by the fact that he is an "original". His interaction with Lilac is excellent and the love scenes are great! The reason I didn't give this book more than 3 stars is I felt the ending was contrived. It was too convenient how Lilac suddenly accepted Rejar as her husband. The book also didn't leave me with a sense that the story was complete. I wanted to know more about Rejar's quest. I am hoping that there will be a third story in this series, which started with Joy's _Knight of a Trillion Stars_. Because _Rejar_ was the second book you will find continuation of the story line of the first, which adds to both stories. It was written very well which is why I am looking forward to more books by this author.
Rating: Summary: Rejar Review: A great mix of Futuristic Fantasy & Regency Romance that blended well with Dara Joy's other books. It was a fun read, with interesting characters & a sensuously amusing plot! She's become one of my favorite authors.
Rating: Summary: Dara Joy Does it Again Review: Dara Joy is a refreshing author who creates a wonderful blend of passion, intrigue and humor. I found Rejar sexy, charming and witty. I fell in love with Login in Knight of a Trillion Stars but out of all her Matrix of Destiny charactors, I have one heck of a soft spot for Traed. Dara Joy takes away the humdrum of every day romance and takes her readers to another place and time. Thanks,Dara!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: This book was so good I couldn't put it down! I hope Dara Joy's other books are half as good. Rejar was the sexiest hero I've read about in quite a while...but I've got to admit the cat element might be clouding my judgement.
Rating: Summary: An avbove excellent story and I can't wait for more. Review: Having read Knight of a Trillion Stars in 1996, I have been waiting and searching all of the book stores in NSW Sydney, Australia looking for this book which I finnally found by chance! Although it took me 3 years to find IT WAS WORTH WAITING FOR! I read the story in 24hrs and re-read it in another 24hrs. Dara Joy is as her name describes, a JOY to read as she shows in this second book of hers which was litterally out of this world. Not only is the story facinating to read it leaves you wanting MUCH, MUCH MORE! I will be buying anything of hers that I can find. I am definitley a fan for life.
Rating: Summary: So awesome, I read it and the sequel in 24 hours Review: This is the best fantasy I've read in years. My only complaint about the first story in this trilogy was the dopey heroine. Ms. Joy fixed that problem in this book, and her next one as well. Now, personally, I could use a little less sex, because the rest of the story line is just so much better. I certainly do like it, but there is an AWFUL lot of it, and it is kind of the same each time. The fantasy part of the stories, however, is better than most of the main stream fantasy writers. By far. More Matrix of Destiny stories, PLEASE!
Rating: Summary: Meow Meow Meow!!!!! Review: Oh my, this book had me purring! What a fantastic idea and who else but Dara Joy could have written this gem? I love all her books. Her stories have heart. Her characters are so real. I fell in love all over again with these people. One book and u r hooked <g> Like the rest of us, you'll be scrambling around looking for everything she has written. She's that good. My best friend and I had a fight over who would get a hard to find book of hers we found that had a short story by her. The story was called MY ONE and boy was it worth the fight!!!! I won <bg>
Rating: Summary: Not up to her other works Review: If you believe this book is the best thing since sliced bread, good for you. But I just didn't find it as good as her other books, especially Mine To Take. This is a classic example of a writer getting better the more she writes. Oh, the book was good; I can't deny that it had me rolling at times such as the party with the ladies when Lilac, the heroine, is casually telling the women in the circle just what Rejar does to her behind closed doors. But while the plot was good, and the characters of Traed and Rejar were well done, I just thought everyone else was, well, flat. Lilac DEFINITELY needs to become deeper; she was both flakey and just not done well enough. I think this could have been a good book if it had had more of a plotline (ie, once again see Mine To Take, and even Knight Of A Trillion Stars). This one just told a story, and not a really interesting one at that. She is definitely going to be doing more with Rejar, but I hope she redeems Lilac's character some because she just wasn't as rounded out as other characters in this book. Sarah Pearson
