Rating: Summary: She's done it again!! Review: She's done it again! I don't know how Ms.Joy does it, but this one is another winner! This was the second Matrix of Destiny book that i read, (I read Mine To Take first ) and I am totally "hooked" on them.I can't wait for the next one ! These are books that I am going to keep and re-read , my friends aren't getting these! Maybe in one of her furture books,Ms Joy could write about a female familiar, (perhaps how Rejar's mother and father got together.) This book was captivating. Like Mine to Take, I just couldn't put it down! Please give us more like these and the sooner the better!
Rating: Summary: The writing is appalling. Review: I've read three other novels by Dara Joy, and, although they are basically all the same, it's a formula I've found entertaining, and so I was glad to see that this one was being reprinted. Unfortunately, this one highlighted the weaknesses of the others, particularly in the area of the actual writing. Ms. Joy is imaginative and writes great sex scenes, but her writing is pretty poor. There are blatant misuses of words which make it clear she does not know what they actually mean, as well as grammatical and syntactical errors that make one cringe. It also makes me wonder where her editor is; if nothing else, the editor should have caught some of these things. I've read a number of romance novels and I know there are writers out there with an excellent command of the English language, even in a genre that gets little respect from others. I was interested to see, in some of the earlier reader comments, that Lilac was thought to be particularly stupid; this does her an injustice, since ALL of Ms. Joy's heroines are stupid. They whine, they dither, they throw tantrums, they overreact, and they haven't a particle of insight into their own feelings or motivations. Why can't she give us some women we can respect, admire, enjoy, or identify with? I think we deserve better, and, with a little effort, I think Dara Joy can do better. On the other hand, when she writes Traed's story, I expect I'll read it.
Rating: Summary: A Very Sensual Book Review: I found "Rejar" to be the best book of the series. He is a very interesting "being". Pure fantasy and creativity were employed by the author in coming up with this character. His attributes are very base and sensual. This is great for fantasy reading! I enjoyed the story, but more than that, finding out exactly who and what he was all about. I highly recommend this book for great "get away" reading! Enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Rejar is one heck of a scintillating and sensual tale! Review: Rejar is everything to a woman that defines sex. He is handsome as sin, as gallant as any knight and as boyish as a kid brother. Rejar takes off from Knight of a Trillion Stars when he crash lands on earth and into the carriage of his one and only mate Lilac. But unfortunately, she doesnt' notices him because he's a cat. She has no idea that Rejar is a Familiar, a race of men that are totally creatures of love and sex. Men with the gift of lovemaking, who are taught at a young age the pleasures of a woman's body. Poor Lilac, she doesn't even know she about to be eternally scrachted by her cat who is also her lover, Rejar.Ladies, get a glass of water. By the time you're done with this book, you'll need it.
Rating: Summary: SIZZZZZZZZLING!!!!! Review: REJAR'S STORY WAS HOT AND FUNNY AND EXCITING. SO FAR IT IS THE BEST OF DARA JOY THAT I HAVE READ. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FOURTH BOOK TO COME OUT. REJAR WAS BEAUTIFUL!
Rating: Summary: Very funny and entertaining Review: I thought it was very entertaining to watch all that Lilac tried to do to get Rejar/His Highness to leave her alone. I have read Mine to Take and High Energy and this one is my favorite. The character Rejar was very sweet and cute at times and at other times a pain in the neck. Really think that Traed's story should be told, I really like him. what is going to happen to that familiar that was in Mine to Take, Dariq? Can't just leave him in the old woman's home.
Rating: Summary: What a JOY! Review: Dara Joy has done a wonderful job and I enjoyed this book from begining to end. If you liked Night Of A Trillion Stars, an appetizer; you'll love this main course. Can't wait for dessert; Treaed's story. I caught up with Deana and Rejar's brother from Night of a Trillion Stars and I'll be looking forward to meeting them all again, with my dessert. Do yourself a favor and read them both. Don't forget to find a spot where your family and the phone can't get to you; because you really will not have time for any of them.
Rating: Summary: Rejar will be REISSUED!!! Review: A Good Message to all of you who are desperately waiting for Rejar to be reissued:It will be out in April 1999, I asked at Dorchester Publishing. This book is just great, there's nothing to add to the other reviews, Rejar is the bomb!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful read you'll want to return to time and again Review: Rejar - what a book! I did it all wrong - read "Mine to Take" first and "Knight of a Trillion Stars", then "Rejar". I didn't expect it could possibly be as good as the other two, but it was. How Dara Joy creates such wonderful and UNIQUE heroes is beyond me, but she excells! After Jenise's strength and Deana's forthrightness, Lilac seemed a little pale, but upon reflection, she seems a perfect product of her times. The wonderful tongue-in-cheek humor continues in this book, and some scenes, like Lilac's careless ruminations at the embroidering party, are forever etched in my mind. I don't think anyone could read this and not fall in love with Rejar; he is at once strength and sweetness and palpable integrity. As a stealth geek, my reading used to be limited to science fiction and the occasional bestseller; thank you, Dara; I'll buy anything you write!
Rating: Summary: Good, but could be better Review: disappointing I read Rejar first and I thought it was one of the best novels I read in my lifetime...except for Liliac.. I found the heroine...annoying! The way she resisted Rejar was childish. If she thought that he was a womaniser I could understand. But the fact that he's too good-looking..Hmmm And furthermore, if she spent more time understanding him rather than denying him. I would have given the rating a little higher. Despite that I do recommend this book, although it's better to read the other series in Dara Joy's Matrix of Destiny. Overall, it was funny and somehow I started to like Aunt Agatha, especially her sense of adventure.
