Rating: Summary: Not one of her best, definately wrote better ones before. Review: So many of her previous books are alike that they don't stick to you very much. I often forget the storylines in each of her novels. In my opinion, The Bride was a much better novel. Something you don't want to miss. Many of my all time favorites are written by Julie Garwood such as The Secret, The Gift, and of course The Brize and ect. I wouldn't miss a single new release. Still waiting for it.
Rating: Summary: The Wedding: What a Great Way to Enter the World of Romance Review: This was the first romance book I had ever read and I absolutely loved it. The setting was fantastic, Scotland is always a good place to set a novel. Also, you can't go wrong with the time period, 1100's. Brenna was wonderful as a fiesty heroine and Conner was equally as good as the stubborn Scottish laird. I definitely recommend it for first time romance readers. Then go on to Julie Garwood's other novels. They are just as good!
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read. I've read every book Julie Garwood has written and each one makes me love her writing more. I'm always waiting for her newest novel to surface. The story of Brenna and Connor MacAlister was wonderful. I made my way through this book in mere hours it seemed. I couldn't even put it down to go to sleep! You could feel the sparks flying between the main characters with each turn of the page. If you love a good book, then this is the one to read. And, after you've finished it, move on to Julie Garwood's other magnificant novels. I guarentee, you'll never lose interest.
Rating: Summary: The love story of Brenna and Connor.A must read! Review: A very well written book, although it confused me slightly that you had supposedly met the two in an earlier novel The Bride. When I went back through my copy of The Bride, I found nothing of Connor or Brenna. It's a beautiful love story though.
Rating: Summary: TAKE ME HOME TO SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Roll me naked in a roll of scottish plaid and land me at Conner's feet. Only thing I hated is that I couldn't be the heroine. Garwood what a cruel woman you are......Thanks for inviting me to the wedding. **** It was the best!!!!!******++++
Rating: Summary: Not my cup of tea ! Review: Yuks. I tried to force myself to skim through it (lucky thing I borrowed this from the library otherwise I will be criticising 'louder') I don't like her too cutesy/dumb heroine..really get on my nerve. I find that her style is not my cup of tea. I tried another book of hers too (want to give her another chance in case she wrote that particular book on her off days) but the outcome is still the same - I hate it.
Rating: Summary: Creatively writen, captivating, and hilarious. Review: I love this book and the characters. Julie Garwoood has such a wonderful talent of bring characters to life from the pages of her novels. You grow to love her characters (even the stubborn males!! Conner!!) and dream of being apart of the story (the leading lady!!). I think the greatest aspect was that if I were in Brenna situation, I would act just as she did. I think that every woman wishes a tall, handsome, (Scotish) man would sweep them off their feet. Thank you, Julie, for putting my dreams to paper!! From: Rachel Miller
Rating: Summary: Funny and loveable characters Review: I always enjoy Julie Garwood, yet this book delighted me beginning with a young Brenna capturing a piglet for a pet and proposing marriage. Brenna, while scatterbrained is non the less intelligent, resourceful, and courageous. This may be a historical romance, but Brenna's marriage vow, is a modern mindset. Well worth the time and escape this book brings.
Rating: Summary: The BEST in romance!! Review: If you are looking for a good way to enter into being a Romance junkie, this is the place to start. Garwoods novels are full of all the mushy stuff that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside and all of them have a super story and characters as well. Grab a Garwood and I promise you'll want them all! Oh and if you adore the Wedding, try Saving Grace as well as the Bride!
Rating: Summary: JULIE GARWOOD DOES IT AGAIN :) Review: I LOOVVVEEE 'The Wedding' coz of three things...one, it's set in Scotland, where i'm now convinced most of the good romances are set...two, it has a historical, medieval setting...and three it's written by one of the best writers there is!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GET HER OTHER BOOKS!
