Rating: Summary: Fun And Charming Review: If you enjoyed The Bride you'll love The Wedding. Not only are the characters of the same fabulous caliber Alec and Jamie put several appearances in this novel. Brenna is a great character with loads of adorable traits, including her appetite. The only thing that bothered me was the way she let Conner's stepmother walk all over her. I know she was trying to get her to like her, but I don't think anyone can really put up with that much abuse and just let it roll off their back. Still it helped to emphasize the stepmother's character so I guess it was important. Connor's silent amusement at the outrageous things Brenna did made him really lovable despite his determination not to love Brenna, even when he already did of course. I absolutely loved the way Connor's friend's were amused by his situation, knowing full well he was desperately trying not to admit to his feelings for Brenna. But when several attempts on Brenna's life are made Connor must forget his charade in order to protect her and find out once and for all who betrayed his father and his clan when he was a boy. Garwood has done it again, The Wedding is not to be missed!
Rating: Summary: Another Winner Review: After reading my first Garwood novel "Ransom", I didn't think it could get any better - but it has. "The Wedding" was just as wonderful and witty. I had gotten away from romance novels because they were too predictable and empty. However, after reading "Ransom" and "The Wedding" I have decided that Garwood is much different than the others. I've just ordered four more Julie Garwood novels and can't wait to get started!
Rating: Summary: Disappointing . . .. Review: This is the only Julie Garwood novel that I ever purchased and ended up giving away. The beginning was good. It had the usual Garwood flair and magic. I don't feel that the main characters spent enough time together to make their falling in love believable. Some of the scenes were just silly. And the ending was so predictable, I could see it coming from a mile away. I was very disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Almost Better Then The Bride Review: I absoluetly loved this book. Brenna was fresh and cute andConner steals your heart. The character developmant was excellent.Ms. Garwood sure knows how to get your attention. Brenna and Conner were perfectly written for each other and they definatly had a hot romance. I loved that the men were awed by the fact that she ate so much. Finally, a heroine who isn't afraid to pig out. Scottland is my all time favorite setting, and Ms. Garwood describes it beautifully. Now I want to visit it for myself! The plot is fast paced and the pages basically turn themselves. Plus, the return of Alec and Jamie was perfect. It was wonderful to hear about how they turned out. If you've read any of Julie Garwood's books, this is definately for you. Brenna's end description of her wedding is truly the icing on the cake. Please, read this superb, fabulous classic from the magic pen of Julie Garwood.
Rating: Summary: The Wedding by Julie Garwood Review: Even though I read this book over a year ago, I loved it. It is by far one of the best romance novels I have ever read. I am now a big fan of Mrs. Garwood. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. You will not be able to put it down. It is funny, fast paced, and just down right wonderful. I give it ten stars!
Rating: Summary: The Wedding- A marriage of romance and adventure Review: This is one of those books that catches you on the first page, and keeps you until the end. Julie Garwood has created characters with depth, and she allows us to see more than just one characters' point of view. The reader becomes privilege to a story where the wedding comes before the courtship, and we never know what will happen next.
Rating: Summary: A medeival to cherish Review: On her way to Scotland to marry her betrothed, Lady Brenna is kidnapped and forced to marry her bethrothed sworn enemy, Connor MacAlister. After agreeing to marry Connor, Brenna then vows to become the best wife possible, therefore making changes to Connor's home, trying to make him become a perfect husband and also capturing his heart. This was a great medeival that I truly enjoyed. Although, in my opinion, not as good as The Secret or Ransom, the story of Brenna and Connor should not be missed.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: I thoroughly enjoyed The Wedding. I had read The Bride, which led me to read this book. I am usually a SLOW reader, but I finished this book in 2 days. I feel as if I know the characters! I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Steamy! Review: The first few chapters in this book are so steamy you need a cold shower running just in case! It is a great story filled with a lot of adventure and a great surprise ending!
Rating: Summary: A review of Julie Garwood's The Wedding Review: I have read The Wedding several times, it seems to be one of those books - though an easy read - that you can just relax and enjoy.
