Summary: THE LEAST LIKELY BRIDE
Review: THE LEAST LIKELY BRIDE is the third in the "Bride" trilogy by Jane Feather. It is preceded by THE HOSTAGE BRIDE and THE ACCIDENTAL BRIDE.

THE LEAST LIKELY BRIDE is the story of Olivia, one of three friends who vow together to always remain friends and to never get married. She is the quiet, scholarly daughter of Cato, Marquis of Granville and his second wife.

One day, while walking on a cliff overlooking the sea, Olivia accidentally steps into a hole and tumbles through the cliff to the beach below. She is rescued and tended by none other than the pirate, Anthony Caxton. After careful observation, Anthony is much, much more than he seems.

In a time of civil strife, Olivia's father and Anthony are on opposing sides of the struggle. While she has deep love for both, Olivia must choose.

THE LEAST LIKELY BRIDE is less believable than the first two "brides" books. And the cover is definitely wrong, from a more modern time period. But overall, it's a good book.

Summary: Wonderful Tale With a Different Ending
Review: The Least Likely Bride proved to be a page turner. I was completely enthralled by the characters in the story. Olivia is a wonderful blue-stocking scholoar. Anthony is a dashing, sexy pirate who is a loyal supporter of the king. Olivia's dad, Cato, is responsible for keeping the king from leaving the country. The novels takes all kinds of twists and is very entertaining. Olivia's friends Phoebe and Portia are entertaining characters. The friendship between the three sets the tone for the story. The ending of the story leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like the author left the reading hanging.

Summary: I actually liked the ending!
Review: The reviews of this book almost scared me off, but I'm glad I read it. I really liked the ending...I don't think it's nearly as "unhappily ever after" as other people have hinted. Not every romance novel needs to be a cookie-cutter copy. I enjoyed the relationship between Olivia and Anthony, although given Olivia's character from the first 2 books, I think the relationship moved too fast way too early in the book. And as serious as Olivia has always been, she gets to have the most fun! Also, I agree that Feather seems to have left it open for a posslble continuation. (A small hint to those who wonder what the controversial ending is: if you've read Feather's "Violet," you've seen something like Olivia and Anthony before.)

Summary: BEST OF THE THREE!!!
Review: This book is absolutely the best book i've read in a LONG LONG while. Definately the best of the trilogy! Anthony was a very sexy, very romantic, sensual, yet a bit dangerous hero, and every scene between Olivia and him was hot. I loved these two together immensely...I've read other Jane feather books before this but never enjoyed one as much as this one. The love scenes were the best i've ever read, and when Anthony and Olivia were'nt together i always anticipated how they would meet and react in each other's presense again... I found this book refereshingly exciting to read. In light of what the previous reviewers have said 'it's true' some might not like the ending and in truth i would have liked a better ending too but i got over it, if Olivia didn't mind being Anthony's doxy than i didn't care BECAUSE overall the book was awesome to read. I recommend it to everyone who likes to read their romances' dangerous, exhileratingly passionate with two of the most strongest, intelligent and compelling main characters' ever paired. ENJOY! :>

Summary: Really, really, good!!!
Review: This book is really good. I have read other books by Jane Feather but I did not really like them. "The Least Likely Bride" is a really good story and it's worth reading. It's a real page turner...I know, I know, I used "really" too many times but oh well. Have fun readin'.

Summary: Cover art completely wrong!
Review: This novel is set in the 17th century--what is the publisher's reasoning for an illustration of clothing on the cover that wouldn't ever have been worn in that time (not even underclothing would have looked like the dress portrayed)? Odd to say the least--and throws into question how well edited the book is (? ) if they can't even get that right...

Summary: Perfect Ending
Review: This was the perfect ending to the series by Jane Feather. I could not put it down. I really enjoyed the first book to the series about Portia. The second about Phoebe was a little less than I expected. This book was wonderful. I was glad to see that bookish Olivia ends up with the pirate Anthony. The tension between the two was great, with wonderful loves scenes result. If you like Jane Feather, then this is a definite read.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Historical Romance
Review: Too much historical and not enough romance. This was my first Jane Feather read. Anthony did not live up to a pirate's bravery when it came down to Olivia having to face her father whom she betrayed for him (he sat safely and comfortably at the beach drawing pictures of her.) Their relationship was not well developed, Anthony was never even properly introduced to her family and they never even got married. Olivia seem to be making all the sacrifices for their relationship while Anthony makes sacrifices for his friends/family...
