Rating: Summary: Without a doubt the best Amanda Quick novel ever. Review: This book was the best. The characters are great! I love her quirky heroines and the men they fall for. This book has a beauty and the beast feel to it because Gideon, the hero, has a deep scar on his cheek and is misjudged by everyone he knows until he meets Harriet. She never doubts his word and trusts him with her life. How romantic. None of Quick's new titles even come close to this one. If you havn't read this one check it out!
Rating: Summary: OK Review: This is a cute regency novel. My first time reading this author.I give it four stars because this book strays from the typical regency and is exciting - better than the the norm, for this era. While I'm not 'looking' for more of her books, I would definately grab one if I saw it at a used book store or thrift shop.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Quick Review: This is hands down my favorite Quick novel. I have read every word Amanda Quick/Jayne Ann Krentz/Jayne Castle has ever written and this is far and away my favorite. Well worth the money.
Rating: Summary: The best of all time Review: This is probably the best romance novel ever. It certainly is my favorite, (although her Dangerous and Deception are right behind). If you like humor and depth of character in your romance novels (plus great sex), go back to this period in Amanda Quick's writing. There are about 6 GREAT books to be found here. Her later writing just doesn't compare, and what a shame. You just never get tired of this story. Harriet and Gideon are the best ever. I am purchasing this book for the 3rd time. The last two both wore out over the years from re-reading (the bathtub is especially hard on them!) How I wish the fabulous Quick novels would be done in unabriged audio. The tapes wouldn't wear out so fast!
Rating: Summary: The kind of novel that makes you hooked on romance. Review: This was my first, and by far the best, novel I have ever read. I would recommend this book to any willing reader. Amanda Quirk delivers a heart warming blend of innocence and scandal that erupt into a blinding explosion of passion and love.
It's a story of trust and a bond that goes far beyond any kind of friendship. The H+H are complete opposites yet are attracted to each other and have a shared understanding that survives through all of the vicious gossip and seducing tyrants.
Read this book and you will be pleasantly surprized by the witty comebacks and unsuspected happenings. I'll leave the rest for you to uncover and I hope you love the book as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely wonderful. Review: Usually I just read romance novels because they are fast paced and an easy read. But once in a while there's a romance novel that transcends the obligatory sex scenes and standard plots. I don't know what it was in particular that made me LOVE this book so much; but while I was reading it, I never wanted it to end. The humor in this book is incredible (it's a rare thing for a novel to make me actually roll with laughter), and every scene made me smile (well... except for the "suspenseful" parts). I have read A. Quick before, but this one tops them all.
Rating: Summary: What a romantic story! Review: What a read! Strong characters, very funny, good plot & I loved the way they talked! Harriet -the hereon- is what you want a woman to be; she is intelligent, sure of herself & of what she wants in this world. She is honest about her feelings, which is refreshing. She doesn't listen to cruel gossip or what people around her think. The hero is a man that you'll fall in love with instantly, strong, loving but... of-course.. tortured! The story is enjoyable & the rest of the characters are interesting. I wouldn't put it past me if Amanda Quick wrote a book about Harriet's sister Felicity. If you want an enjoyable evening reading something to fuel your imagination then this book is for you.

Rating: Summary: A tortured hero....what could be better? Review: What is it about a tortured man that is so undeniably appealing? Well, let me tell you.....Gideon(Our hero in Ravished)is definitely appealing. Not only does Gideon have a blotched past that is responsible for his woe, but he is scarred and finds his face to be utterly repulsive. Now I ask you....is this man begging to be nurtured or what? I personally found him to be at the height of sexiness. Of course, where would he be without his wonderfully lively heroine to come rescue him from his despair? That is where Harriet comes in..I just adored her...she was always bubbling over with energy and ideas...and was always getting herself into trouble...I really enjoyed this book..I loved the way the characters related to one another.. it is a fast fun read that is definitely worth purchasing.
Rating: Summary: I thought the book brought on a fun reading experience! Review: When I read the small summary on the book, it sounded exciting. And when I read it the guarentee was exactly what I got. I read straight through in 8 hours and only put the book down to have a couple of snacks. It was a fun read!
