Summary: A great read!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I thought Gideon and Harriet were perfect together. I enjoy reading books where the man is scarred and the women see past that flaw. The first book I read where the guy was scarred and the woman saw past it was Once a Princess by Johanna Lindsey, which by the way I think everyone should read... Nevertheless, I liked it that Gideon always tried to protect his Harriet. I did not like that housekeeper that was always fainting. I would have fired her the first time she called Gideon a beast. Beauty is only skin deep. I'll take a heart of gold over good looks any day. I'm glad Harriet trusted him. The poor guy needed someone in his corner.

Summary: Spellbounding and Entertaining
Review: I went in search of this book when I read a preview of it in the back of Ms. Quick's other book. First I was intrigued, then when I finally bought it, well, how shall I put this nicely: I LOVE IT! Its beautifully well written. The characters were more then a match for each other. The book had me laughing me head-off, my husband no longer wanted to sit next to me until I finished "that damned book!" Thank you Ms. Quick! :)

Summary: Great book
Review: I've read almost all of Amanda Quick's books, and this is the best so far. Great story, great hero, a reason for being in love besides looks. I appreciate the fact that Quick's heroines usually are not devastatingly beautiful; they are usually people all of us normal people can relate to.

Summary: Refreshing, Different, and a great love story!
Review: It is nice to know that not all love story requires the main characters to be gorgeous and handsome. The story between Harriet and Gideon is GREAT! She is so obsored in her study of fossils that some of the things she says are extremely funny. Her trust and loyalty to Gideon is heart-warming and lovely. The ways she defended him and his reputation is great with a hint of humor. Gideon is a victim of circumstances, but he makes a great match for Harriet. Her obession with the cave really makes the story flow nicely. I love the leading ladies in Amenda Quick's novel because they are all strong, smart, and different. Ms. Quick does not spend much time describing their beauty and leave that to the imagination of her readers which is what I prefer. Another great one! I also enjoyed Deception and Desire.

Summary: Taming the Beast
Review: Miss Harriet Pomeroy is a dedicated archaeologist and spinster. Then she finds some amazing bones as well as smugglers in the caves belonging to Gideon Westbrook, Viscount St. Justin, Beast of Blackthorne Hall. Harriet and Gideon join forces to defeat the smugglers and an arch-villain with a grudge. They also end up making sweet love on the floor of the cave at high tide. But you know how it is, fossils are so erotic. Despite the machinations of Gideon's nemesis, the terrible scandals circulating about him, and the kindhearted though misplaced efforts of Harriet's new friends, the two manage to find truth, happiness, and a way to "tame the beast."

Summary: A charming heroine with a mind of her own
Review: One of my favorite historical romance books of all time. I bought it some three years ago but I still enjoy reading it. Heroine Harriet has actually personality and a mind of her own. The hero is just as those literary misunderstood "beast" - heros should be. Add some quite hot and appealing love scenes and you have some enjoyable hours ahead of you.

Summary: Ravished
Review: Ravished is Amanda Quick's best book ever. I have read every book by AQ, but Ravished tops all. Her hero Gideon, though scarred, remained gallant to the end. The description of both the hero and the heroine made them seem real. Most books paint a picture of perfection in looks and actions that the characters are impossible to believe. AQ has a way of making the characters believable. Love her work and will read all of her books even the ones written under the pseudonym of JC or JAK.

Summary: A funny, romantic, merry, every changing story
Review: This book is fantastic. I have all of Amanda's books and this is the best so far. The story keeps you turning page after page and craving more. The characters are funny and they take you along with them. The love story is fantastic and the action intense. I recommend this book to anyone who wants value for their money. DON'T lend this to your frirnds because they wonn't bring it back. I know, I speak from experiense.

Summary: Ravished? Yes, please...
Review: This book is wonderful! It's been on my keeper shelf for years, and after having read it for the 4th or 5th time recently, I thought I should review it. The constant draw to this and all other Amanda Quick (Jayne Ann Krentz) books is without a doubt, the characters witty banter and hysterical personalities.

With this hero (and with most of hers) there's an edge of danger, but never toward the heroine. St. Justin is cynical, mysterious, and compelling. He's feared and loathed by most because of his scarred features and largeness, also because of a rumored history of having debauched and then abandoned the town's rector's daughter.

Harriet is quirky, driven by her passion for fossil collecting and innocent when it comes to male/female attraction. But of coarse Harriett sees his handsomeness and is strongly attracted to him and becomes his champion. While they banter and discover each other, they have to deal with the hidden threat of an old adversary, and the tons ridicule of St. Justin.

Every romance fun MUST experience Quick in my opinion. I consider her books "Comfort Books" and when I pick one up I know it's a sure bet that I'll love it.

Summary: Pornography in the guise of historical romance
Review: This book should have a warning label - something like "Adults Only" or "Rated X". If you're looking for explicit sex scenes then this is a book for you. If you're looking for character development and a fun historical read without the porn I recommend romances by Carla Kelly, Cindy Holbrook or Judith Landsdowne.
