Summary: This is a fantastic beginning to the Motgomery saga!
Review: I have read The Velvet promise, Highland Velvet, Velvet Song, and Velvet Angel and had not one complaint with any of them! If you have read one you must read them all! Each book links to each other to explain the life, and love,of the four brothers.Velvet Angel wich I have just finished reading is the climactic ending to end all four books. Read them all you wont be let down!

Summary: IT WAS OKAY
Review: It was not one of her better books but it was good. I didn'tlike the way he thought she commited adultery. but most of all ididn't like the way he didn't think alice was able of any wrong doing. other than that it was good.

Summary: This book is great!
Review: I'm a big fan of Jude Deveraux and have read most of her books, but this one I have read several times. Gavin makes you so mad that you can't wait to see the strong Judith bring him to his knees. I recomend the entire Velvet series to everyone, especially this one.

Summary: Gavin's an oaf
Review: but I really liked the heroine. It wasn't the best of Deveraux's books, but it's an easy read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: tough love
Review: I agree with many of the other reviewers, this book was a bit hard to swallow, because Gavin was so...mean. But you eventually love him, don't you? This was my favorite Jude Devereaux book ever.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Never could put this book down
Review: 7 years ago, I thought my classmates were absolutely bonkers and have nothing better to do in life than get stuck with a medieval period, tiny lettered- thick novel. A day struck, and now here I am with the collection of Jude D books. Heaven-sent author...thanks for creating a romantic fantasy Jude!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book was addicting!
Review: I loved this book! The sense of love and hate was just so strong! I love Jude Deveraux's books and I've read the last book of the 4 before I read this book and it was totally worth it. This book can easily be on my top 5 list of books. I was totally enraptured with Gavin and Judith. I read a lot during my spare time and this book made the other books I've read before dim in comparison.

Summary: This book was beyond BAD!!! It was violent and depressing.
Review: Where to begin... I love Jude Deveraux, I think her stories are wronderful and I always grow to love her characters. There are always exeptions though, And The Velvet Promise was a depressing, violent tale which actually made me throw the book accross the room after I finished it-This was how angry I was. I LOATHED the hero, Gavin, with a passion. Judith, dear, you are a doormat. I am suprised that she put up with some of the stuff Gavin dished out. Since when is rape a marital right? Someone answer that please? And it is called family loyality, Gavin you should really try it. If you want a read that will make you want to scream with fustration then this is the book for you.

Summary: THE VELVET SERIES.........FANTASTIC
Review: MY FAVORITE BOOK SO FAR IS THE VELVET PROMISE,IT WAS FUNNY AND SO FULL OF ADVENTURE. I NEVER WANTED TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN EVERY CHANCE I HAD I READ A COUPLE OF CHAPTERS. THE CHARACTERS WERE GREAT I LOVED THEM ALL. YOU HAVE TO READ HIGHLAND VELVET..VELVET SONG..AND VELVET ANGEL THEY ARE NEXT IN THE SERIES

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It wasn't very good.
Review: I think the plot was kind of dull. There's suppose to be this hadsome guy who's blinded with love for a scheming woman. How can somebody be that blind and not even listen to his ow family about her true evil personality. As for the heroine, how could she even other with her husband when he slapped her and pledged his undying love to another woman on their wedding day. It was just a little too unbelievable for me.
