Summary: Nobody's Darling
Review: 5 stars isn't enough. Ms. Medeiros is always fantastic, but she really outdid herself with this one. This is one of the few books I can honestly say made me laugh and cry all at the same time. The plot, the romance between the main and secondary characters, the setting...all were perfect. After reading this one, I bought everything I could find that Ms. Medeiros had ever written and I wasn't disappointed. This is a MUST READ!!!

Summary: Fantastic! I read it in one night!
Review: Before I read this book, I had complained to my husband that it had been too long since I had read a 'good' book. What a surprise it was to actually find such a book! I especially enjoyed Ms. Medeiros' creative ending. I look forward to her next page-turner.

Summary: The whole story is one very enthralling ride.
Review: Being the namesake of the protagonist might have influenced how I view the book, but even if my name wasn't Esmeralda I still would judge this book as wonderful. Maybe it has something to do with Billy being naughty, humorous, flawed and impossible; maybe it's about the unexpected glimpses of tenderness from Billy like the way he dotes Sadie - or maybe it's just me.

I love the book, Miss Medeiros. I've read two other of your books, and they show the same brand of funny romantic writing that I really enjoy. I hope you keep on writing this well.

Summary: A funny and touching tale.
Review: Being the youngest of the ruthless Darling Gang, Billy had to be meaner, crazier and smarter than his brothers, and he proves it when protecting Esmerelda from them. I liked the way Billy doted on his dog, Sadie. I also liked the fact that he learned to read, despite his brothers attempts to stop him. I found myself experiencing Billy's feelings when he realized he loved Esmerelda, but thought he wasn't good enough. The only problems I had with the book was that it was slow in some parts (the ones with Esmerelda's grandfather). All in all, I found it a delightful read.

Summary: Yee haw!
Review: Billy Darling is mah kind of gunslinger. Esmerelda Fine thinks he's killed her baby brother Bart, but ain't life something; Billy's actually a nice boy, a Civil War veteran just tryin' to put his life back together, and who lives in a brothel. And he likes rocking chairs. You will too, after you read this.

Summary: This book was incredible! Medeiros never disappoints!
Review: Do yourself a favor - run to the store or library and READ THIS BOOK! It is so achingly sweet it took my breath away. After reading this book, I wished Billy Darling were real - he was the epitome of the tender, rugged cowboy. Esmerelda was also a sweet woman that anyone can relate to. The sparks between them practically flew off the pages, and made me wish the story would never end! Medeiros knows how to write beautifully, with smart dialogue and doses of humor everywhere. I wish I could give this 20 stars!

Summary: The Cowboy of My Dreams
Review: Every woman has at least one cowboy in her heart and for me, it was Billy Darling. He's waited patiently while I wrote my Scottish historicals, my Victorians, my Georgians, and my paranormal romances. I finally discovered I could no longer resist his honeyed drawl and lazy grin. I rewarded him for his patience by giving him an ornery Boston spinster to tangle with. I suspect he'll still visit my dreams occasionally, if only to thank me for helping him find the woman of his dreams. I can honestly say that knowing Billy Darling, in every sense of the word, has been a genuine pleasure.

Summary: Highly entertaining... not what I expected!
Review: First and foremost, I am not a fan of western romances. Second, Ms. Medeiros' Breath of Magic left me loathe to read another of her novels. Leave it to Amazon.com to convince me to try Nobody's Darling -- I am glad that I took their recommendation.

Nobody's Darling features a tough but tender hero to fall in love with and a heroine just innocent and prickly enough to adore. The chemistry between the two main characters is perfect, and the added attraction between two minor characters is equally balanced. This novel is peppered with well-timed humor (a basset hound in a bonnet!)that is extremely visual; and the settings are dynamic and plot enhancing. All in all, Ms. Medeiros' Nobody's Darling is a highly entertaining, amusing, and charming read that is hard to put down.
